Bought for our daughter-in-law for Christmas. Perfect size 7 fit with room in the calf for her athletic stems. She lives in boots in the cooler months and loves these very special ones! She'd inherited a pair of Frye's from her beloved Nan -- a size too small, so she gave them to her new Sis. Now they both happily wear the Frye tradition. Zappos' impressive selection, incredible policy and incomparable service made it happen -- thanks from us and our girl!

I really like these boots. My calf is quite a bit larger than average and these fit perfectly. Great quality, too!

This is my 4th pair of boots to get from Zappos, sadly enough I can't keep any of them. I have 17" calves, all muscle, and slender ankles. These do fit around the calf, and feel amazingly comfortable. I am sending them back because they bunch up around my ankles and I have high arches. I couldn't get the right foot on easily. If you are able to get these on with ease, you will not have a long break in period. They are marvelous. Sad that I have to send them back.

I've worn these EVERY DAY since I got them! Very comfy and a bit roomie in the calf area, so this boot is great for anyone with thick calves. Color is a true chocolate and perfect for playing it both ways (black/brown).

I am usually a size 8.5. However, after reading reviews here I was torn on what size Paige boot to order. Many reviews said they ran large. In the end, I went with my usual size. When they arrived, they felt wonderful, not at all snug and easy to pull on and off - but I was confused. These are my first Fryes, and I had also read they should be a little snug at first and that your foot should pop in - not easily slide in at first. So I exchanged for the 8. My feet were snug, I did have some heel slippage, I could wiggle my toes. These were all the things I had read Fryes should be when new. So I stuck with the size 8. I have worn these 2 times all day at work. No blisters, but my feet are cramped and tight in them at the end of the day, especially across my instep. They are really too small. So far they have not stretched out and molded to my foot. The leather has been unyielding. This might be because I got the brown brush off, which is a stiffer leather. The boots themselves are gorgeous and well made. I just wish I had tuck to my usual size. They would have been more comfortable if I had. I would definitely recommend them, just get the correct size.

I purchased the boots for my daughter and she loves them. She did have one small problem - the sole on the heel of one of the boots started coming unglued. It was minor so I did not go to the trouble to return them but took them to a shoe shop and had it glued back for $10.The boots were slightly hard to get off at first but as they naturally stretch, they are easier to get off. The leather is beautiful and she loves the color.

Oh my gosh theses are hands down my favorite boots ever! I receive tons of comments on them! Out of my 3 pairs of Frye boots I love the comfort and fit! They do run a little bigger than normal so they slosh a but shen you walk but it had worked great for me!

These boots are perfect! Worth every penny. I purchased the "whiskey vintage veg tan" color and they are a perfect neutral tan that goes with everything. I had purchased a few other Frye boots before finding these. The Melissas were too western and the Paige Trapuntos did not look to have enough quality for the price. When I pulled these out of the box, they were exactly what I was looking for. I ordered 1/2 size down, and they fit perfect (they do stretch out a little). The bottoms are slippery at first, but after a couple wears they scuff up and are no longer smooth. Zappos VIP was awesome in the online shopping experience. The return for my other purchases went so smoothly and I received my orders next day! Thank you Zappos!

I just received these boots and I'm absolutely in love! I got the Tan Burnished Antique. And while the photo isn't exactly like the pair that I received (all leather is a little different), they are great! Right out of the box they slid right on, with a little force the first time, but my feet immediately felt right at home. Every day since, the fit has improved and they're molding and working into the perfect boot! I think these are a little more flexible than the Veronica styles that I have. I purchased my normal size in these and they fit perfect. I found this style and the Melissa Button are true to size, but I typically need a 1/2 size larger in the Veronica Slouch and Veronica Shortie. These are quickly becoming my favorite! The shaft height is a little taller than my other Fryes, but I like it okay. I wish the top was a little smaller. My calf size is about 14" diameter and these seem a little loose above. I am about 5'6" and these boots hit about an inch below the knee on me. Between my calves and the top there is plenty of extra room. Overall, I think they're great. Fit well, glide right over skinny jeans, and I can wear them all day and still be comfortable in them!

Fabulous! What else can I say? These are truly amazing boots. Comfort plus. I know that I will be enjoying these boots for years. Worth every penny!

Love these! I finally decided it was time to splurge on Frye boots that I'd have forever as opposed to cheap ones I'd have for a season, and it was absolutely worth it. They're beautiful and classic and reasonably comfortable.

I love these boots I have larger calves and these fit well. I have three pairs of this same boot because I love them so much. The are very comfortable and I know they will last me a long time because of the quality. Thanks Zappos for the overnight delivery too. I'm saving up to buy the grey now!

Just received these boots and I absolutely love them! I'm 5'2" and have an athletic calve, 14.5in. I have trouble finding a boot that fits that I love and these do both! Even with a pair of jeans I have a little wiggle room and I have not even broken them in yet! These boots are amazing and I would recommend then to anyone!

I bought these for my girlfriend this Christmas and she absolutely loves them! She wasn't sure if she was a 7 or 7.5 and decided to do 7.5 so they were easier to take on and off. There aren't any zippers for these so you need to keep that in mind. I was also amazed at how light they were. The soles aren't grippy so be prepared to slip a bit in bad conditions. Other than that downfall, she thinks they're amazing.

Love these boots! I mean love these boots. Like many of the other reviewers, I too have athletic calves. I normally wear a 6.5, but opted for the size 6 and I am glad I did even with decent thickness socks (not trouser socks) they fit perfect. The break-in period lasted about an hour. Initially I used the plastic bag trick to get my heel in, my persistence paid off and the boots fit like a dream. I only want to wear outfits that go with my new boots! The leather is high quality and rick color. I have been getting tons of compliments. If you have athletic calves, these are the boots for you.

I love these boots! I found them to be true to size. I had a little trouble the first few times pulling them on but they streched out after a few wears. I ordered the "grey" but I would call them more of a taupe. It's a nice color and goes with both grey and browns. Overall I am very satisfied with this pair of Frye boots.

Awesome! First time I wore them for 11 hours and walked all day! No breaking them in. Rave reviews on style. A must have!

These boots are beautiful in the black and are a little wider to accommodate my 15" calf. I ordered a size 6 (am normally a size 6-1/2 and am 5'7" tall), after reading everyone's reviews to size down 1/2 size. Don't do that. They run true to size and I should have ordered my regular size 6-1/2. They are a little tight in the toebox, and my feet are a little on a narrower side. There was no extra room to tuck in a pant. I would be able to tuck in a legging, but that's about it. These boots are beautiful, but they have to go back because they are too small. Unfortunately, Zappos does not have my size.

This is the most fabulous thick soft leather I've seen in a boot. The style is very cute, and they look great with jeans/jeggings tucked in. The color is beautiful. In spite of this, they don't work for me. I need something that also works with knee-length skirts, and they aren't tailored enough for skirts. They are also a bit too wide at the top of the calf (I have skinny calves). It's hard to send them back because they are simply gorgeous.

I love these boots. I wore them right out of the box for an entire day. They were so very comfortable, and the fit was true. I have athletic calves and they fit like a dream. I am not sure if I can wear my skinny jeans with them but I cannot wait to try them!

Happy early Christmas to me! I have bigggg calves and I can't get most boots over them. These were ordered online and I hoped that they would fit because I'd read mixed reviews regarding calf size-- they fit! Yay! I've had my eye on these boots for awhile so, seriously huge relief to finally have beautiful boots. The top was a bit tight when I first tried them on, but just wearing them around my house they've already stretched a little so I know they'll fit comfortably as I wear them out and about more. I plan on wearing these babies everywhere. Excited to have this addition to my wardrobe! I have a size 10 foot, so I think I'm lucky the shaft size goes up with shoe size. Also, I'm 5'5 and these come up to my knees. Got them in dark brown burnished leather which will be great dressed up or down. They are amazing boots so I think I can get away with wearing them anywhere! I can tell these will last forever too. If you're considering it, just do it.

If you have wide calves, these boots are fantastic. For people with regular sized calves, I imagine they would be perfect over skinny jeans. I rarely find boots that fit my calves comfortably, so I am going to buy these in several colors. They are also very comfortable to walk in, I walk about 5 miles a day at work and these are extremely comfortable.
