The most comfortable boot! Requires no break in period. I usually wear between a 8 1/2 and 9. I ordered the 9 and it fits great. Definitely worth the price!

Love the boots! They run large. I wear a reg size 9. Had to return for 8.5. I might of got away with 8, but if wear with winter socks, the 8.5 work better.

These are beautiful boots! This is my first pair of Frye boots and now I understand why everyone raves about them. I tried a lot of different varieties on, but loved the color of these and the fit. I can pull these on over tight jeans without a problem, where a lot of other boots are too narrow. When I got them from Zappos, they did have a white substance on the outside, but that seems to be some sort of protective spray. I rubbed it in a bit and it disappeared so I am left with the color that I expected.

Awesome boots! Super sexy and very classy! The only issue that I had was the rubber strip on the heel started degrading within the first month I had them. One side flaps and the other side has worn off on the end of the heel. Gotta love Zappos though, because I called them, and they are replacing them! I think I will go to a cobbler with the new pair and have a protective bottom put on to protect my investment (a clever suggestion by the sales rep)!

I read all the reviews before I bought these boots and thought about them a while before my purchase. I am SO glad I bought them. The leather is beautiful though I found them to be closer to taupe in color rather than gray. However, I still love them. They ARE true to size. They are a little tight to pull on, but that makes them fit very well after they are on. They are not tight once you have them on. I wore mine for the first time for hours and they are extremely comfortable.

These boots are GORGEOUS! They are indeed a little pricey, but they are worth every penny. I wear a size 10 in all my shoes, and these were no different. The 10s fit perfectly. The only negative is that they are kind of hard to put on, but extremely hard to take off. My husband had to take them off my feet the first few times, but now I'm able to take them off myself with a good bit of force. Nonetheless, I still LOVE these boots!

After reading reviews from other sites as well as on Zappos, I was a bit hesitant to purchase these boots, but I am SO glad I did. For starters, I'm a runner and triathlete, and I have what I consider to be enormous calves (about 16" around to be exact). Finding boots that fit and don't make my legs look like sausages has always been a challenge. However, this boot not only looks super stylish, but fits like a dream. At first, the calf was a teeny bit tight, but after two wears, it was perfect, if not a tad bit slouchy. I find them to be incredibly comfortable throughout daily wear and even though I'm not particularly used to boots of such high quality, I found the sole and low heel incredibly comfortable. Yes, the price is a bit high, but all-in-all, you get what you pay for. I wear these nearly every day. With previous, lower-end boots, I found myself having to throw them out after one season. These will last me many, many years. I'm very happy with them and plan to purchase another set of these in a different color!

Flippin' fantastic! I have a wide calf and haven't bought boots in years simply because I was intimidated by them. Well, I decided go big or go home and ordered the Frye Paige and they have changed my life. As for fit, despite my measurements, the calf is still a bit slimmer than I had hoped. I measured at 15.25" and they said it had a 16" but it is still too snug for me to tuck in pants. Which is fine because I plan on wearing them with my skirts and dresses for the most part. I might be able to get a pair of skinny jeans in them once they have worn in a bit. As for size and width, I am a perfect 11M and these fit great. Overall, I am so excited and look forward to many years with my new beautiful boots.

Love these boots! The toe is not too pointy and not too round. The leather is so soft. The cognac color is a perfect medium brown. They're a little difficult to get off, but I had no problem getting them on. The shaft is the perfect circumference so there's not a huge gap between the boot and my leg (I have slim calves). Would buy in every color if I could.

What a beautiful, luxurious, true to size riding boot. Unfortunately, I am 5'1" tall and the boot shaft was too long for my petite legs. Tall ladies, these would be gorgeous on you!

Beautiful boots, comfortable, many compliments! Worth every penny! I wear a 9 and a half or 10, the 9 and a half were perfect. A little hard to get on and off (high instep), but getting easier every time I wear them. Just gorgeous boots! I give them a 10!

Love love love these boots BUT they are going back. I will likely order them in a different color. I have been scouring the internet for a pair of true gray riding boots...this is a much harder task than you'd think. I found these and the color says grey. So I contacted customer service and they assured me that the boots were more grey in person than in the pictures. Nope, they are brown. Beautiful boots but not grey...so I'm returning them.

I just wanted to give everyone a current review for these boots. I just received the 2013 Paige Tall Riding boot, and my foot slid right into them, no coaxing or struggling to get them on. I had tried this same style last year (2012) and could NOT get them on my feet bc of the narrow ankle opening, and if I got close, could not get them off!. So for those of you who are concerned about the ease of getting them on, do not base your judgement on last year's reviews, they have apparently made the necessary changes so that everyone can easily get them on/off. I love these boots and plan to wear them every opportunity I get this fall and winter!

These are exquisite! I got them in the Cognac color and looks exactly as pictured, it's a rich medium warm brown color with a bit of sheen to them. The leather is just gorgeous you can tell these are very high quality boots! They fit true to size though they are a bit loose in the heel, but not an issue if you wear socks. I also ordered a half size smaller to make sure I didn't need to size down but those were too tight I'm 5'9" and wear a 10 shoe and the boot hit just below my knee cap which is perfect, they are also roomy, but not overly so, in the shaft if you have athletic calves. If you have very skinny calves, these might be too loose. I ordered two other colors but didn't like them at all, the burnished grey was more of a taupe and the burnished dark brown was very ashy. And yes I know you are supposed to wipe the burnished leather with a damp cloth to remove that reside but they still looked ashy and bland. I guess the burnished leather just wasn't for me and also felt looser more worn in, not the look I was going for! These boots are very comfortable and don't need any wearing in time at all. Yes they are a bit pricey but they are a classic design that will never go out of style and Frye makes the best boots that only get better with age, definitely an investment piece!

I adore these boots. The quality is amazing, the leather gorgeous. I picked the cognac calf shine. I did have trouble with sizing: the 6.5s felt they would require a lot of breaking in (and sweat and pulled muscles taking them on and off) and then maybe still be slightly too snug, while the 7s were just barely too loose and had a lot of heel slippage. I need a size 6.75! Ultimately, I decided on the 7s -- I figure I can always wear a slightly thicker pair of socks than I normally do, but I can't shrink my feet nor make leather stretch exactly where/how I want it to. I seem generally to be a 7 in Frye boots, but these fit a little looser than other Frye 7s. For reference, I am usually a solid 7.5 or 8 in shoes. I'm 5'6", and the boot tops brush the very bottom of my knee.

Amazing boots! These were immediately comfortable to wear with skinny jeans, leggings, and with socks or tights. I am thrilled with the purchase. The color is definitely a greige, more than a true grey, but this actually works well with many colors in my wardrobe. I also tried on the vintage grey, but this is a very dark gray with a waxy finish, which somehow did not appeal to me as much as the softer finish of the gray boot. These boots have a wide toe box, which I find extremely comfortable and my athletic calves fit easily into the circumference. As a result, these boots are very easy to put on and take off, which I did not find with many of the Frye styles. For me, they are perfect. Thanks, Zappos.

Best boots ever! Very stylish plus if u have wide calf they fit perfectly and are very comfortable... I was skeptical at first however after reading some of the other reviews decided to give it a shot since after all you do get free shipping and return. Very glad I did.

I got these boots in the grey vintage and the color is beautiful and is true to the picture shown. I am about 5'8" with athletic calves (about 16") and they fit! Unfortunately they were too tall for my leg even though I am on the taller side - I do not have long legs though. A little hard to get on - I had to use the pull tabs and pull them up as I used my weight to get my feet in. But when I did get them on they were comfortable with minimal heel slippage. I got a 9 when I am normally between 9 and 9.5. Lovely, classic boot that is well made - just wish my legs were longer to get the look I was going for with these boots.

These boots are beautiful! The leather is sturdy but light. My only complaint is they are too tight in the calf area. I would not have been able to wear anything besides a thin tight with these. My legs are approximately 16 inches around. Zappos as usual was great and the boots arrived the next!

Calling all those who love these boots, but feel defeated that they are deemed short, I have a solution. Trying putting HEIGHT INSOLES that will give an added lift to your height. I am 5'4'' and added 2'' height insoles, which not only boosted my height, but also confidence. These height insoles are inconspicuous in the boots and no one will ever know. You will look fierce while walking down the street with your new added confidence. You can buy these height insoles online. I hope this helps!

I'd been lusting for these boots for sometime and finally got them. They are awesome! Fit great out of the box as most Frye boots to. They fit over my calves with room to spare for pant legs...but not so big that I couldn't put the pants over the boots if I want. Totally worth the money; and the service at Zappos couldn't be better.

I love these boots. Gorgeous! So comfy & cute. I love Frye boots so much. I have about 10 pairs. These are one of my favorites. Timeless. The grey color is perfect.
