I love my Paige boots. I got the grey color, but mine are definitely way more taupe/tan than grey. I got the 8.5 and 9.0 sized boots (I normally average about a 9.5) and I ended up keeping the 8.5's. They've even stretched out a bit over time, so I kind of wish I'd gone with 8's, though I'd have an issue getting my foot down into the boot. I have skinny calves and most boots look way too big on me, but these fit my legs just fine. I get a ton of compliments on them. They're very flat boots compared to what I'm used to wearing -- you're almost entirely flat footed when you wear these. I haven't had any issues with the front panel flapping outward when I wear the boots. They're my favorite ones! They look great with just about everything!

Oh man, I adore these boots SO much! I actually ordered 4 pair of Frye boots at the same time, and these were the winners. The flat footbed is super comfortable and a great option if you don't need or want a heel. The shaft is quite tall, the tallest of all the ones I tried. I'm tallish, 5'7, and they look proportionate on me. I think they might look a little too tall on someone petite. The shaft is a little wide on me, but most boots are. There is no zipper, so I think they have to be wider to pull on. Overall fabulous boot. I wear them everywhere with everything! Gorgeous with skinny jeans!

These boots are amazing! However, buying the Frye boot treatment is a must. I made the mistake of wearing them out before treating when it was threatening to rain and the toe became slightly discolored. However, two treatments with good polishing has corrected that. The leather is supple and soft. I have athletic calves, so it's a bit tight, but I'm able to wear them with my skinny jeans so it's not unbearable.

I love these boots so much. They are my first pair of Frye boots and I'm looking online now to get my second pair. I would recommend these boots to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable and well constructed boot.

These are beautiful boots!! Beautiful and comfortable, I might add. I wore them for the first time for an entire afternoon in below freezing temps, and it was the only part of my body that managed to stay warm! A few rubs here and there, but again, it was the first time I wore them. They fit perfectly over jeans and other skinny pants, and can be dressed up or down depending on the mood/occasion. A bit of a warning, however--they are slippery as all get out until you get them good and scuffed up. They are also a bit tight on the removal, but I'm guessing they'll loosen over time like other reviewers have mentioned. (I normally wear a 6.5 to 7, and bought these in a 7 since there is no zipper. I am SO glad I did.) Worth every (expensive, but classic!) penny.

I adore these boots! I have very athletic calves and most riding style boots end up being too snug. These fit well in the feet and have room in the calves- even with jeans. Like most Fryes they run slightly big so if you are debating between two sizes I'd go with the smaller (I usually wear a 7.5 and a 7 fit perfectly in these). My only negative comment is that the grey color is a little more brown that it looks in the pictures. But I still love them and will have them forever.

I finally was able to purchase these and I am so happy. I have long legs w/large calves and these are perfect. The cognac leather is supple and is everything I expected. I can't wait to get them in black.

OMG. I just received the Paige Tall Riding boot in dark brown burnished leather. These boots are well worth the money. The leather is absolutely beautiful, and the boots are so well-made. Absolutely loved the style. I wear a size ten and have athletic calves (15 1/2"). These boots fit in length, and also fit my calves perfectly, just open enough without looking sloppy. They are also tall enough for me (I'm 6ft.). The color is a bit lighter than I expected, more of a soft taupe, but I actually like it since the lighter color shows the beautiful details.

After reading the reviews (about size and being hard to get on), I was nervous about ordering this boot. They are gorgeous boots. I was loving them from afar because I couldn't get my foot past the curve into the boot! I almost cried. I wanted them to fit so bad and did not want to return them but considering the price they were just too expensive to just look at! After two days of just taking them out of the box and caressing the leather, I took the advice of an old cowboy in a boot store and combined that with a plastic bag and my foot popped right in! YAY! Here's what he said to do - stand up slide foot in boot holding on to the tabs on the side and point your toe. I just stuck my foot in a small trash bag first. Once they stretch some you won't need the trash bag. You foot will probably pop through the end of the bag and you can just pull it out! I have a boot jack I use with my cowboy boots so getting them off is easy. Hope this helps anyone else looking for a solution. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe and that's the size boot I ordered. Perfect fit.

This is my third pair of Frye boots and quite possibly my favorite. They are made of rich, buttery leather and are beautifully crafted; so worth the investment!

These boots are beautiful. I got the vintage tan color, and the color looked the same on screen. They are really comfortable, I've walked around in them for hours at a time and have had no problems. They're clearly great quality and aren't extremely heavy. I did notice some of the heel slip that other reviewers mentioned, but otherwise the shoes fit true to size and the heel slip wasn't an issue after breaking in. Worth every cent!

I love these boots. They are high quality with extremely soft leather and nice stitching and detail. Great fit, I wore them 12 plus hours the first day no problem. I have a wide foot and high arch so finding boots that fit is sometimes a challenge. I went up a half size to compensate which worked out well.

I normally do not write reviews but this time it's necessary. These boots are beautiful. When I first got them I was a little concerned because even though they are extended calf they were still a little snug. After wearing them for just a week or so I noticed them stretching! The leather is very top quality and very soft! You won't regret your purchase!

Love these! I initially wanted the Melissa Button boots and ordered my regular size (9) but could not get them on. The calf was okay but it seemed the ankle was so narrow I could not get my heel down. The Paige boots did not have this problem. My calves are not thin and I was worried about them being too snug to wear with anything but tights, but I can wear them with leggings or skinny jeans. The 9 fits me with some room in the toe but I am not having problems with heel slippage. I maybe could have fit into an 8.5 but I am comfortable in the 9 and don't feel like I needed to order down a size. The leather is beautiful and the color is so interesting. Worn with black & grey, they look grey, but with my brown coat, they look brown. They are really a perfect neutral that goes with anything. I was also worried about comfort because I definitely need some arch support, and these don't have much, but somehow they are still comfortable. The first time I wore them, I was out at night for several hours, and standing a lot, and they were comfortable. The second time I wore them, I had them on all day with no problem at all. I am 5'9" and I find the shaft height to be just right for me, though I could see them being a bit too high on someone who's very petite. These were a splurge for me but I can tell I will be wearing them for many years. I'm not much of a "shoe person" and normally I wouldn't even bother writing a review (can I say that on Zappos?!) but I am totally in love with these boots! I have worn them with dresses and tights, skinny jeans, leggings and long sweaters, and they look great with everything.

I love these boots. Unfortunately I have not been able to wear them yet. I have not spent much time getting them on but the two times I tried was going to take longer than what I had time for. I read all the reviews before I purchased and several said they were hard to get on which is why I have not sent them back yet. I really love the boots and cannot stand the thought of returning them. All the reviews I read said once they are broken in they are fine which is what I think and why I have not been able to send them back.

I get compliments every time I wear them. The quality and style really make their presence known, almost as if they have their own personality and agenda. They are also reasonably comfortable, not like a sneaker, but for a boot, yes. Now for sizing: My size is 7.5-8. I purchased the Frye Carson Ballets last spring in a 7.5 based on reviews stating they stretch. Maybe not so much on the ballets because the leather is thinner, I should have tried the 8 and put heel slip pads(the kind that go where you would put a bandaid on if you had a blister, but in the shoe) in if they were too big. So thinking I learned from my mistake I ordered the size 8 in the boots. The leather is thicker and has more give, I should have tried the 7.5. My feet are on the wider side, but still wear regular shoes, just can't squeeze them into the narrow brands. Frye seems to run a tad on the narrow side for me. They are not tight but the thick leather prevents them from looking sloppy on the calf. I'm about 5'5", 120lbs for comparison. On a last note, these were twice as much as I wanted to spend and only bought these because they were the only tan flat boot that had my size in stock. With Zappos handy "Notify me when these become available" feature, I've been notified on quite a few "Back in stocks." Well I'm glad I ended up with the Frye's, but wish I tried both my sizes.

I finally understand what all the hype about Frye boots are about! These are such a gorgeous pair of boots. They fit true to size and fit well for me even though I'm a shorter girl (5'2"). The leather is extremely high quality and the color is accurate to the site.

Love these boots! I had received the Shirley boots for a gift and they were a bit too big so I returned them for the Paige boots in the whiskey color in my correct size. The whiskey color was too red for my taste so I contacted customer service and instead of making me send back the wrong color and wait a week for credit they exchanged them right there, then sent out my new Paige in brown and I received them the very next day! I am so impressed with Zappos service and exchange policy. My boots are a tad too big still but I think wearing thicker socks will help. They are very cute and I am very happy with them!

I have admired these boots for a while and finally ordered a pair.....okay, a few pairs! I'm so glad I did, I have a few friends that swear by them and now I see why, they are amazing!! (and I'm very picky with boots!) I ordered a 7.5 (I usually wear 7.5 or 8) and they are perfect. I wondered about a 7 but think they would be too short. The grey is beautiful although not a true "grey". It's more taupe color but looks more grey in some lights. Very unique and matches just about anything. The dark brown burnished and tan burnished are also amazing colors and I love the distressed look they have and the black is just a classic awesome boot. i haven't seen the other colors in person, but can only imagine they are great too!! I did not have issues with the lack of arch support some people mention, they were comfortable from the first time I wore them. They can be worn with skinny jeans and leggings with no problem. If you are questioning buying, just do it! As always, Zappos.com is amazing with its super fast shipping and easy returns if you aren't happy with your order.

I love, love, love this boot. I have wider calves, and this boot fits over leggings and jeans. I ordered the dark burnished brown, and the color I received was a bit lighter than I had thought it would be. However, I used the Frye weatherproof cream, which darkened the boot up a bit. For all women who have trouble finding boots to fit their wide calves, this is the one! I wish that all Frye boots were this great...they tend to run very small in the shaft.

These boots are BEAUTIFUL, like a work of art! They are impeccably constructed and pure quality - I'm loving them so far. There is very little support though and zero cushion so if you have any foot issues this boot may not be good for you. I have pain on the balls of my feet after wearing them - am going to try to get an insole but the boots are tight & I'm not sure it will fit. I deal with the pain though because I love them so much! ha! Overall I would highly recommend. They are nice enough to wear dressed up but I also wear them with casual clothes. LOVE!

Suggest ordering half a size smaller. Ordered my normal size and the boot was really easy to get on... worried about stretching, I got a half size smaller. Had to use the zip-lock bag trick to get them on the first two times around the house, but after that they slide on without tugging. These shoes definitely stretch, so order a half size down from your regular.

I ordered the saddle antique color, and it did not disappoint. It is rich and not "mottled." I read about a hundred reviews of several styles before buying these. I am 5'2" and have a 14 1/14 inch calf in boot cut jeans. While they are roomy in the shaft, I don't have bulky muscles, so I would expect them to be. It just allows for a little "sag" with wear, which I think is a very good thing. I don't like the look of a stiff, upright boot, and these are nice and soft, though certainly not droopy. The front plate makes them pretty erect. They are, as one review said, perfect for riding. I trail ride, and would absolutely love to wear these in the saddle, but would never wear something so nice for my kind of riding! Others complained they were too tall for short people. They came up to an inch below the knee. I am giving hem 4 stars for style only because maybe I would like a bit more detail, now that I see them in person. They are not at all hard to get on in my normal size. I had foot surgery two years ago and have worn nothing but hiking shoes and Birkenstocks since then, so maybe that explains the sizing. I am finally able to get some "cute" shoes, as long as they are flats. My feet slid right in. The boots felt comfy--had just a bit of heel slip. I'm trying the Veronica Slouch and deciding. PS. I am 58, had a pair of gold brushed Frye boots in the past, and they were my favorite shoes ever. Unfortunately, I gave them to my daughter-in-law!

These boots are true to size and fit like a glove. Comfortable enough for all day wear on the first day, no break in needed. And compliments.....all the time! Awesome boot! I'm in love with Frye and Zappos
