Not attractive for the narrow foot! My feet are so narrow; I had to adjust all the straps to the minimum. The leftover strap is way too long and very unattractive. Great idea on the adjustability. The comfort is great with the food bed and the padding on the straps, but they just look ridiculous when you have to actually size it down. Is SO much strap necessary?

Gym in a box - It is true that these somewhat homely shoes are a gym in a box. You use muscles you never knew you had. This is the exact reason I purchased them and I would do it again.

My 2nd pair of MBT Kisumu's - I purchased my first pair of MBT sandals approx. 3 years ago. I wore them constantly, definitely feeling the results in my leg muscles. Unfortunately the right shoe started to fall apart. The sole of the shoe cracked in half and came away from the upper part of the shoe and the rubber on the toe tore away. I don't think I was particularly abusive to this shoe; I've had tennis shoes last longer... I really love the MBT sandals, so I had to bite the bullet, spend the big bucks and purchase another pair. I certainly hope these last longer, I can't afford anymore.

MBT Kisumu - Good fit. Unique design. Does increase work load and stretch on legs. I like them, especially around house.

I didn't really want to buy these because of the price. I also take a slightly wider shoe size. I took a chance anyway and they fit perfectly. I'm totally convinced. OK, I had to learn to balance myself properly on these, but it was worth it. Wearing regular shoes (for work) is a letdown. Fortunately I can wear sneakers to work, I'm getting those next. If they are half as comfortable as these sandals, they are worth it.

The ankle strap cuts into my foot. I really need to loosen it or wear a protective bandage in order for any abrasions not to occur. However, by loosening the strap, some of ankle support offered by the strap is no longer. Other than this, the shoe is comfortable and takes the pressure off the neuroma in the metatarsal areas of my feet.

I will choose to reserve final judgment... Have worn these shoes approximately two weeks. Can't say I've reached a total comfort level yet. They are certainly expensive and they will need to prove more worth before I consider buying another pair. I also want to see how they do in the summer. The straps used to adjust the fit are longer than necessary.

Arch pain with MBT - I used the MBT shoes on a trip and I fount that I got very bad arch pain on one foot (this was the foot that is slightly flatter than the other one). Whereas the other foot was fine. I think the construction of the shoe might be digging in too much. I didn’t know how to get rid of the pain except to change my shoes. I don’t know how much I am going to end up wearing this shoe for the price I have paid; it seems like a waste of money. I don’t know if Zappos will take back a slightly worn shoe...

Maybe I'm vain, but I didn't like the style - There is no question that these sandals are extremely comfortable. The fit was great. But, alas, I returned my pair because the look was really unflattering. They looked like those booties you wear when you break a toe. Maybe because I wear a Women's size 11 but they were a real eyesore on my feet. I think you'd love them if you can get past the design.

Nothing special - I was disappointed in the shoe. It wasn't all I had read. I will not buy again and wish I hadn't bought these. They are too expensive too.

Uncomfortable - I tried these shoes. I wore them for a little while in my house but I could never get the straps adjusted correctly to be comfortable. I returned them for this reason. Although my foot is not a true narrow, it is on the narrow side and I believe this is why I could not get the straps adjusted properly.

Sill not sure. Haven't worn them for an extensive period. Comfortable on my feet, but seem to make my lower back hurt. VERY heavy. Don't wear them on uneven terrain until you are very used to them. Definitely not for hiking.

Compared to MBT sneakers - Definitely able to walk rapidly in this shoe and with my problem feet, this is helpful. However I did notice there is no arch support and with plantar fasciitis this can worsen the condition, especially if you are not walking and paying attention at the same time. Overall, compared to the sneaker, it is definitely, not as comfortable or supportive. To be honest, I was disappointed.

I really wanted to like the MBT Kisumu sandals. I really, really, really wanted to...especially given their price, all the positive things I've read, and I even like their look. But these are shoes I will be returning as soon as I print out the return slip. They have absolutely NO ARCH Support (which I really need in a show) and my ankle felt like it was collapsing every time I tested them out around the house. It's a bummer that when making a sandal like this, they don't pay more attention to that level of detail. So if you're someone in need of good arch support, you might want to consider something else... Sara

MBT Kisumu shoes are a very different type of sandal. They come with a DVD that shows how to wear and walk in them. They are an "M" and I have a wide foot, but they have adjustable straps, so I purchased them. I would suggest if you have a wide foot that you do not buy this "M" sandal. I had foot surgery and one bunion removed, so the left sandal fits better than the right even with adjusting the straps. The DVD says to take small steps and put the heel down and walk through to the toes. These sandals curve in this manner so that when you stand still, you are standing on the arch. I'll have to view the video again, maybe it said to stand in some other way. Two or three hours a day of wear is what it takes to get use to these sandals. I wore them 6 hours yesterday and I was tired and my right foot was hurting some, but again, my foot is wide in a "M" shoe. The DVD indicates this shoe is good for the alignment of your entire body. I think they are an expensive shoe. They are solid construction and feel good on the feet, once you are use to the curvature.

Save your money - If you think these shoes will work miracles, you will be very disappointed. I will admit that my feet have not been as sore as usual, but I could have found a more attractive pair of shoes or a new pair of Birkenstocks that would have felt the same and cost half as much. The hype about toned thighs, butt, and tummy is just hype. These certainly weren't worth the small fortune I paid for them. I suppose I am one of those suckers born every minute. I did order a half size up and they fit great.

Seemed great, but then something went wrong. When I bought these I was soo excited. I eased into wearing them, and then I wore them everywhere for about two months. At first I just thought they were so comfortable. Then my lower back started to hurt, and then the ball of my foot started killing me. It’s like the angle of pushing off the ball of my foot is exaggerated to a point that its caused inflammation. Now about a month later of not wearing them, I'm still suffering with foot issues. Very disappointed at this point. Perhaps someone without a pronation problem would find these divine. Wear them around the house for a while before you commit to them.

After wearing these sandals and shoes, I developed a very sore hip. I quit wearing this product and after one month, the soreness resolved. I am 61 yrs. old. Maybe my joints cannot take the position change these shoes/sandals require.

Sorry... didn't like 'em - I sent these shoes back. It’s the whole technology. I approve of it, but I don't like the instability inherent in MBT. I REALLY don't like the price... can't believe it's worth all that. Good fit and good craftsmanship. I just don't want to fall on my butt.
