Bought these shoes for zumba. My running sneakers that I used to wear for class dug into my big toes and were incredibly painful. The Ryka wasn't super comfortable at first -- it cut into the back of my heel and could make my foot a bit numb. After several classes, though, I'm pretty happy with them. They rub much less than my sneakers, and they have a good combination of traction and spin for zumba. I don't love the all black nor the laces, but that's not a huge concern.

They do work much better than regular gym/running shoes and allow to turn and spin more easily, but the fit was terrible - my feet ached so much that I barely got through an hour of zumba. I have a normal to narrow foot and these felt way narrow. Too bad, because arch support is better than most shoes.

The Studio was comfy enough. I do however prefer the Ryka Synergy for Zumba. They have more bounce. The Studio D was a little narrow but not enough to make it uncomfortable. Not bad, but if you are buying these for Zumba I would go with Synergy!

I ordered these shoes for my Zumba class and let me say, they rock. Very comfortable, good fit, and great on the hardwood floor at my gym.

Second pair of these shoes I've ordered. Fits my feet better with my orthotics than New Balance I used to wear. Great for when I teach Jazzercise. Lightweight, low-riding and uber-cute!

I think these do run half a size small. I ordered my normal 9 and they're a little short and feel tight. I'm not willing to gamble that they'll stretch out. They do feel like they'd be great for bouncy activities.

After reading all the reviews, I decided to try these shoes for my Zumba classes. I had been wearing regular athletic sneakers and was one of the squeakiest persons in class with all the sticking my shoes did on the gym floor. Now I can happily say I don't squeak and I can pivot and go side to side so effortlessly! These shoes are wonderful and comfortable. I can pivot quickly and keep up without sticking to the floor. I love these shoes, but I did get them in the next half size up. Great shoe for the money.

Very comfortable for moderate to low impact Zumba. I had some heel pain during high impact but using heel pads may help. Overall very satisfied!

I bought these needing a pair of athletic shoes I could wear immediately with no "break-in" period, that would be comfortable, cute & not feel heavy on my feet...well, they did the job. :-) they're not perfect, but especially considering the reasonable price, I'm a happy customer.

I have been in the market for a pair of shoes to wear to Zumba. I ended up ordering 4 diffent shoes to try and this one was great (I also tried the split sole dance shoes and I far prefer having a solid sole for arch support). It has a decent amount of cushion and arch support. I have a bit of a hard time getting it laced the right amount so my foot isn't being smooshed or sliding. But it does make it much easier to pivot in class which is much easier on the knees. When I first got them i tried it on my tile and hardwood floors and it didn't seem to be easier than wearing my running shoes, but i wore them to class anyway and on the floor there it make a huge difference. I would totally reccomend giving them a try.

These shoes were very stable for walking on cobblestone in Italy. However, I had to return the first pair as they were too short. I reordered 1/2 size larger and they were a better fit. Also, the toes of the shoes are not at boxy as I am used to, so they did rub my toes a little. They weren't very pretty, but worked as an alternative to tennis in touring.

I am searching for Zumba shoes with good support and cushioning. I am a 7 and have a wider foot at the toes. I liked the design of these Rykas, they seem supportive and the length is true to size. However there isn't enough room for my toes to move and wiggle, so I am still searching for a Zumba shoe. Luckily with Zappos great shipping and returns service this is no problem. I would think if you have a normal width foot these Rykas would be great.

Really like these shoes for Zumba (which is the only place I wear them)! They are comfortable while providing enough support to dance in. I initially had a pair of Nike Musiques which were not very comfortable. I like these Rykas much better!

This is a comfortable shoe and the footplate makes it work well for Zumba. The first couple of times I wore it during Zumba my feet got tired because it is not as supportive as running shoes. Gradually have gotton stronger and okay now.

These are great Zumba shoes! Since they are so new, they are a little tight across the top of my foot but I'm hoping that they loosen some.

This shoe is super comfortable and I have a large, wide foot. I found it a bit unstable as compared to a running shoe. I rolled my ankle once. Probably great for Zumba.

I love the way this shoe looks and feels, however when I wear short ankle socks they tend to slip into the shoe. Not a deal breaker, but definitely annoying when I have to ensure I have the right sock on to workout.

This is a good studio shoe. It is flexible. It runs a half size small. The shoe laces are long so need to double tie.

So far so good. I use this shoe for Zumba class. I wanted something that had a slick sole as we have a carpeted room for dance.

This shoe is gorgeous! I bought it for Zumba because regular shoes were hurting my knees and ankles. The style and "pivot" point sold me on this shoe, along with the reviews. I was confident that Rykas selling point of making the shoe specifically for dance and training was going to help me out! The first time I wore the shoes, however, I couldn't even finish my Zumba class. I have never known that I had issues with arch support, but almost immediately with the moves my arches started aching and had sharp pains shooting through them. I had to stop dancing and sit down! I bought arch supports to see if this will help for my next class because I want the shoe to work so badly...I will keep my fingers crossed. Buyer beware (I will say, though, that the pivot point completely relieved the pain I felt in my knees and ankles with the Zumba twists, so that is a great selling point!)!

I bought them for Zumba. I ordered a half size larger than my normal size and I'm glad I did. While they are okay for style, support and comfort, they grab the floor more than I had hoped. I'm worried about my ankles.

I love the shoes but can't use them for zumba, like I had planned. They're too 'sticky'. They are comfortable and provide good support. I use them in other fitness classes.

Great for Zumba. It's also very comfortable to wear all day as well. Recommend getting 1/2 size larger than normal.

I've been teaching Zumba for a couple years, and I've been trying to find the best shoe for class. This shoe is wonderful! It feels supportive but not overly rigid. I'm able to spin and pivot easily because of way the sole of the shoe is designed. I'm totally happy with this shoe! I will be suggesting it to my participants and buying it again myself!
