Like others wrote, I took out the insoles and they felt much better. I have no more knee issues while doing Zumba. The bottoms are great for pivoting. Laces are oddly long though and needed to be tucked into shoe.

I love these zumba shoes, and in the past few years, I have had to replace the ones I have worn out (as I also have an extra pair to wear as "dressy" tennis shoes.) I get lots of compliments because they are really cute! I usually order 7.5, so I can put a good pair of orthotics in them for more support. This pair was too small, and the laces could've been wrapped up to my knees. Ryka should keep the mold consistent for each size, please.

Love the look but my feet get a little warm when I wear them. If I change shoes and put on my Inov8, shoes huge difference in breathability (as well as price). Overall great shoe for the price.

I like the sleek look. Several people at the gym have noticed and commented on the style In a positive way. My feet run wide and the shoe fits snugly. I would ordere a 1/2 size larger if you have wide feet.

My search for a comfortable shoe for doing Zumba on carpet has, so far, led me to try shoes by Bloch, Capezio and Ryka. Of all three the Ryka has the widest, most comfortable, toe box. My feet are pretty spoiled by my Danskos on a day to day basis and felt very comfortable in these. I had surgery for a torn meniscus several years ago and my knee has been sensitive ever since. The Ryka's softer rubber soles grip very well on carpet making it impossible for me to do slides and turns. If I could combine the uppers of the Ryka with the hard slippery soles and heels of the Capezio Canvas Dansneaker I would have my perfect shoes for Zumba on carpet. I found the Capezios to have the next widest toe box, (with the Blochs being the narrowest in that area), and by far the easiest to move in.

Do not buy these shoes if your feet needs support! After reading the great reviews about these shoes I thought they were the ONES for Zumba. I do low impact and high impact after the 2nd use my ankles, sheens and arches were in pain! I bought some Spenco insoles but they helped little. I would've returned this shoes if my husband hadn't thrown the box away. Very frustrating!

These shoes were definitely narrow and not a lot of "cushiony" feel, but they grip the floor and my feet well and help my knee pain during dance/aerobics which is the most important aspect to me. I wish they had smaller than a size 6 as even though they fit nicely width-wise, the length is a little long for me. I'm keeping them though because they are form fitting and supportive enough to get away with it. They are not attractive in the least though, so I won't wear them for outside play/walking/running - only inside exercise.

Got these for Zumba. The back of them dug into the back of my ankle and hurt so bad, even breaking skin open. It took awhile to break them in, but once they were, they've been great. They are so lightweight, great for dance, aerobics, jump rope, plyometrics. I loved them once they didn't hurt. They have a great fit. Just wish they designed the back of the shoe differently.

I bought these for Zumba - I went by the reviews and ordered 1 full size larger...way to big, I then ordered half size bigger...still too big...so I returned them again and have my true size coming. Hopefully those will work.

It's kind of ugly but much better than most on the current market - at least it's not garish. The shoe is not exactly what I was searching for so that accounts for a less than perfect rating. I wanted an indoor shoe for Tai Chi. I would definitely consider this brand for a future purchase.

I've finally found my Zumba shoe. I have tried other brands that were supposed to be great for Zumba but they made my feet cramp, were too wobbly or too heavy. I've worn these Rykas several times now and they are very comfortable and have good support. They are kind of cute too.

Overall these are the perfect balance between sneakers and dance shoes. I use these for Zumba. They are more supportive than dance sneakers and almost as good for turns and spins as my split sole dance sneakers. My only complaint is the right sneaker felt tight in the front and too narrow for my foot. I've loosened the laces and that helped a little. I wish someone could make a dance sneaker with the same level of support as these!

Probably the best of the "zumba" shoes if you have a wider foot. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and ordered a 9 per other reviews. That worked just fine, and I probably could have worn the 8 1/2. The heel shape didn't work with my foot - I always felt like it was sliding off.

They have very little cushion and arch support. My feet hurt after 15min of zumba but nice to wear for running errands.

Great shoe for Zumba. Comfortable with enough support. Just wondering how long it will last with Zumba 2 times a week.

The shoes were a perfect fit. They are lower on the sides than most of my other shoes. That took some getting used to. Also, they are a little stiff. I have used them in my Zumba class and they are great. Definitely better than my running shoes.

Great looking shoe. I ordered it 1/2 size larger, fits great. I bought this shoe for Zumba. It is not a shoe for cross training or walking, no support.

These are very comfortable. They fit snugly without any of the pinch points that I have a problem with sometimes. The arch is not to low and very supportive. I bought these for Zumba but have not used them to workout yet.

I bought these for Zumba. I have very wide feet. Usually wear New Balance because I need a wide toe box as my feet are wide all the way to my toes. They work well for Zumba. A tad slippery at first but get better as the bottoms get dirty. Good for a wide foot perhaps, but not really good for my wide foot. :( They were better then my cross trainers as far as agility and moveability, but my feet still tingle and are uncomfortable. I am sad because I was really hoping these would work. I needed about 3-5 tries to get the full effect and by that time they were too dirty to return even though I had only worn them inside of the gym. I hate that no one makes a shoe for wide feet that can be used for dance. Then again...I just hate my feet.

I have been wearing my Zumba Z1 shoes which I absolutely adore. Very comfortable for Zumba. Not only for the fashion statement. Mostly for the low sole of the shoe, the pivot points, as well as the wide foot bed. I wanted another pair of dancing shoes to wear to Zumba to alternate to class. I go through shoes fast. I decided to give the Ryka Studio D's a try after reading positive reviews on this style shoe for high impact dance classes. Very fast shipping. The shoe looks great. The feel felt a little awkward on. It seemed the sole was a little high. I wore the shoe today for class. not long into class i felt my right big toe getting numb. I guess it will take some time getting used to and broken in. Definitely order at least a half size larger for wiggle room. Seems to run small.

They seem to be working. I have a slightly wider foot and hover between 9.5 and 10 and people said to get half size up so I would have got a 10.5 but this size color combo was out of stock so I got the 10. They did feel snug when I tried them on but since someone else said they loosened up for her, I decided to try them at work...they did loosen the same day and don't feel too tight my heel sides a tad but it never re-tied/tightened them when they loosened. it feels like they will be comfortable soon. I did notice my feet felt a bit hot which they rarely do. I had been wearing canvas Capezios so maybe an airier shoe, but they pitched my feet more towards supination and I think I may actually have developed a stress fracture on the outside of my foot form wearing that pair so I was specifically looking for a brand of shoe still in black for work that is designed to encourage pronation. I work long hours standing on un-padded carpet over concrete. Lately my right foot has really been giving me trouble so I thought I'd change shoes before I decided it was really broken. Life was much more comfortable with the more pronated shoe design and the style isn't too bad as far as a sneaker goes. I like the toe spin design. It makes me feel like I can leave work and go dancing or take a dance fitness class without the guilt of buying shoes for fitness that end up just living in my trunk.

Pretty good shoe; I was looking for something with some shock absorption for my TurboKick classes, and this shoe is doing the job! Wish they had a wide version, however.

I bought these for Zumba. I decided not to keep them to go with a slightly less bulky shoe. They were almost a keeper, but seem great for other fitness options.

Bought these to replace my aging Ryka Studio Flex Mid shoes that I wear at work, standing most of the day, since I couldn't find the Flex anywhere. These seem to run narrower and have much less cushion in the soles; I'm reluctantly returning them & resuming my search for work shoes. They might be fine if I didn't do a lot of standing/walking, but they were just too tight with not enough cushioning.
