I read all the reviews for these and decided to order a pair. THEY SEEMED VERY PROMISING. I go to zumba classes 4-5x a week.
They felt ok when I first put them on, but halfway through the class my toes started to go numb. I figured they would stretch out. Wore them a few more times, and I have to say they are the most uncomfortable athletic shoes I have ever worn. Now I am stuck with a pair of shoes that I absolutely hate. :(.wish I didn't have to wear them a few times to make sure. Other that that, Zappos is great with their orders and shipping!

I haven't even had this shoe for three weeks and the laces ripped off. Not a good quality shoe. I am now having to replace them.

Disappointed. They hurt my feet, need to be broken in and they 'tap' loudly on hard walking surfaces. Stitching rubs on toes and across the front. They make my feet boiling hot and uncomfortable. The accent is ugly very shiny black plastic over the leather. I'd return them if I could. Leather should be soft and mold to your feet.

Bought these for zumba as they were recommended for wide feet. I normally wear a 9 but ordered a 9 1/2. Definitely not wide enough. I am a D to E width. Very disappointed!

Poor quality shoe! Daughter needed this for her uniform and after 2 months the leather has split wide open on the top of the shoe. Would not recommend!

I had worn another Ryka style to my Jazzercise class for a year and a half and decided to order a new pair on the theory that a year and a half of wear was probably enough mileage for an exercise shoe so I ordered another Ryka Studio D. I was very disappointed in the outer material used too make the shoe - it seemed too artificial and inflexible and even though I got the same size as before, it felt tighter and more narrow. After a week of wearing them, I tossed them into a donation box labeled, "Shoes for Africa." I'm going to give the "Synergy" a try and have ordered two different sizes.

Pitiful! I ordered the Ryka Studio D # 7344781 on 6/19 and it arrived 6/21/12. I have worn this pair of shoes approximately 14 times. Let me also say that I do Zumba 3 to 4 times per week and own 3 other Zumba pairs of shoes which I rotate (Capezio: Canvas Dansneaker, Bloch: Evolution Dance Sneaker # 7472286 & Ryka Transition #8482). The last pair I have only had since 8/24/12 so too soon to tell. Tonight (10/8/12) I noticed the Ryka Studio D # 7344781 left shoe is pulling apart on the right side area of the toe. Talk about disappointment! I own other Ryka fitness shoes (4 pairs of cross trainers) and the quality, fit and comfort are outstanding! So great track record there! I take great care of my fitness shoes, it's who I am; and they're not cheap. Buyer beware. Stay away from the Ryka Studio D # 7344781!

These are just terrible for Zumba. The sole is far too grabby on the wooden floor, so turns and slides wrench the knee. While the toe box has plenty of room, that roominess limits lateral support of the foot. This shoe does allow full movement of the ankle, but that does not make up for the negatives. The plastic leatherette is ugly, even if the laces are kind of cool. I now have two used pairs of reject Zumba shoes. I may just dance barefoot.

I am sending these back pp they are so oddly made -- they actually tilt toward your instep. Very weird.

I bought this shoe for jazzercising. It's terrible. My feet ache. No support. They run really narrow. Not happy at all wtih this shoe. I just ordered the Nike Musique IV, which is a much better shoe for dancing.

I think this is the worst shoe ever! I ordered a half size larger and it still seemed very tight. This shoe is so stiff it wouldn't bend. Small, super stiff and ugly. I recommend spending the extra money to buy the fabulous Ryka Studio Flex (5*) and the "flex" is a dreamy comfy shoe if you order a half size larger.

Very cute shoe, but as another reviewer said the plastic swoosh on the side could be felt inside the shoe immediately when I put it on. I tried to push from the inside to see if I could readjust it because they are so cute and wanted to like them, but it is too stiff. I will be returning them. I usually wear a 9.5 in dress and 10 in athletic shoes, the 10 was the right size.

I have been wearing Ryka aerobic boots for jazzercise since their inception and I have noticed that over the past few years the quality has decreased dramatically. This particular model is so shoddy that after light usage the heel is separating from the upper portion of the sneaker. I also have experienced knee pain due to the shoes lack of support. The upper is poorly designed. The sides of the upper actually look baggy after I laced them tightly. There is very little arch support and lateral stability. I am extremely disappointed and will be moving on from Ryka.

I do not find these shoes to be comfortable at all. They are very stiff, and the heel slips while doing lunges. I can\'t tighten the laces, because they are tight across the arch of my foot, and constantly put my feet to sleep. I believe I did purchase the correct size for myself, and unfortunately, I am just not a fan of these. Plus, they are very unattractive!

I was really disappointed in these shoes. I wore them to Zumba class a few times, thinking they\'d be better than the split-sole ballroom dance practice shoes I had been wearing, but they were much less supportive and comfortable. The arch support is either absent or placed wrong for my feet. After a few days wearing them my legs and feet ached and I was getting weird, incipient knee-injury sensations in my left knee. I put them aside and went back to my Veryfines, and within a few days everything was OK again. I would not recommend these for any serious activity.

I bought two pairs of these because they were so highly recommended for Jazzercise. What a waste of money. There is absolutely no cushion in them whatsoever! The first thing I had to do was go out and buy really thick insoles to help with support and cushioning. That helps some, but if you roll to the inside of your foot for various dance moves, my big toes go numb. They are awful. Another weird thing about them, some days they are so slippery, you feel like you're going to break your neck and other days they stick to the floor like glue. Try something else.

I bought two pairs of Ryka Studio D sneakers and they were both unusually stiff and inflexible. In the past, I bought these same sneakers directly from Ryka and they were perfect. I'm questioning if Zappos is selling inferior quality because Ryka supplies them with seconds or shoes that have been sitting on the shelf for a long time. I paid at least $20 less through Zappos. In this case, maybe you get what you pay for? I'm considering returning both pairs.

I bought these shoes for the choreographed, mixed high- and low- impact dance fitness class I take 4-5 times per week. I\'ve worn them for a month, and I wish I could return them. They just don\'t provide anywhere near the amount of shock absorption I need, even when I replaced the insole with a Spenco insole. My whole body felt the impact the next day after wearing these shoes to class. I just bought a pair of Nike Airs, and I already feel much better. These shoes might be fine for a low or non-impact type of fitness class. I have to say, for an advanced dance fitness class, these shoes just do not fit the bill.
