These shoes are not as great as I had hoped. They did not support my arch as I had hoped by reading other reviews. The pivot on the bottom does not work as well on the hard wood floor as it might on other floors. The shoe looks great and it definitely better than my other shoes. I bought arch support insoles and those did help quite a bit.

I bought these shoes specifically for Jazzercise. I have plantar fasciitis and had heard that these shoes were great for people like me. Pros: My plantar fasciitis doesn't hurt with these shoes. Cons: The toe box feels much smaller than my ordinary shoes. Almost to the point where I lose feeling in my toes. Also, these shoes are UGLY in person! The look almost stylish in the picture but they are not. Good think I only wear them to Jazzercise where people aren't looking at my shoes!

Not enough arch support for my taste. Feet get a little sore with a typical studio class like step or dance aerobics. Great outer soles, though! Perfect for turning and not getting caught on a big tread.

I purchased this shoe in hopes that my toes/ball of the foot would not go numb during Zumba. I previously had the Nike Musique. Well, my toes are still numb. I found the support to be better than the Nike with this shoe, but I am going to try Capezio or Bloch to help with the numbness problems.

These shoes did not work for me. I bought them for Zumba and Hip Hop classes. They were too sticky to get good turns and my arches hurt real bad within 15 minutes. I only used them during one class because I just wanted to test them out. I don\'t know if they would have been fine if I broke them in. I just didn\'t like them.

I bought these shoes specifically for Zumba. I wish I would've gotten a 1/2 size smaller. They seem to run a bit big. The shoes hurt my arch at first, but I got some better 'sport' insoles, and that seemed to help. I like the traction (or lack thereof) for Zumba; works well in that sense. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd buy them again for Zumba.

They are great for Zumba. Several people, including the instructor, wear the grey pair. They all recommend purchasing different insoles for extra comfort. I ordered these shoes in 1/2 a size larger, but they ended up being way too big. They are highly unattractive. The grey pairs are super cute, though.

Should have listened to the reviews - I ordered this shoe for Jazzercise. The girls there who had it were split on their opinions. I found this shoe to be not cushioned enough for my feet, which I had been concerned about after reading the reviews. They are true to size, but a bit stiff (reviews and others said after a while that gets better, but I sent mine back). It didn't help my calf pain problem, and in fact probably made it worse.

I am pleased with the look of the shoes, but they don't really provide the support my feet need. I use them for Jazzercise. I'm 51 years old and starting to experience foot problems. These were not the best shoes for my feet. A lot of my classmates love them, though. They're designed for dancing.

Ryka's studio d - I was not impressed with these Ryka's Studio D shoes. I have wide feet and these pinched my toes together. Although I ordered a size larger it felt too long. I will keep looking for a pair of shoes for Zumba that will work for me. Good word for Zappos, great service will keep buying from them. 5 stars for them.

Reviews were a bit deceiving. I expected a greater degree of support and stabilization from these. I have heel spurs and plantar fasciitis and need good support when I'm on my feet all day. They do look good enough for work and not so much like a sneaker, so I am holding on to them. Probably would not purchase again, though.

I wanted to love these shoes - I was so excited when I ordered these shoes, because they were so highly rated for Jazzercise class. I prefer a low profile, soft leather shoe without a big sole. These look like they fit the bill. But when they arrived, the leather was a bit stiff; they are narrow through the toe-box (not narrow through the rest of the shoe.) I did order a half size up, (I usually wear a 7 1/2, ordered an 8) and the length was fine, but it was the narrow toe box that sent them back to Zappos. I also didn't like the shiny black stripes on the sides - made them look cheap. I had my Jazzercise buddies who wear the same size try them on and they loved them! In fact Jazzercise is offering a promotion for this shoe, so it must be good. It just didn't work on my feet.

Ryka's black Studio D shoe - The black Studio D shoe has a very stiff exterior material. There is not a lot of give to it for aerobic exercise. However, the gray version of this shoe is excellent.

I bought these sneaks for my zumba and cardio classes... they were not comfortable at all.. they are very tight and made my feet numb... I wore them about 6-7 times in hopes that they would start feeling better.. but no such luck...I've bought Ryka's in the past and had good luck with the brand. But this style did not work for me.

Wider than the original. less lateral support from the actual shoe. The insert is the support now.

These are nice shoes but the mesh construction is too unsupportive for active participation in dance fitness classes. My feet moved way too much in these shoes (especially side motions).

Gorgeous shoes, terrible fit, I up sized by half size and still too short and very narrow in the toe box. Immediate pain on little toes. If you have a wide toe box type of foot, don't even bother. Was tempted to return for a full size larger but didn't bother. I don't know why these shoes are cut so skimpy. Ryka is my go to shoe for athletics and these disappointed in all ways except how pretty they are. Too bad. But Zappos is great and makes returns easy.

Not for me. Bought these for Zumba class. Ordered 1/2 size bigger. Very narrow, no lateral support, actually found my ankles/foot turning inwards, even when static. Possibly okay if you're 120lbs & usually wear flip flops, you will probably find them supportive. But, I'm a little larger, new to Zumba & needed more lateral support.

This shoe is stiff, just like a running shoe and I don't see much if any difference in how much the shoe sticks to wood floors. I wanted something more appropriate for dancing in, where I could feel my feet and not feel like I had rubber blocks on my feet. This shoe is not it. It is VERY stiff. Maybe some want/need very stiff arch support, but not what I'm looking for. Also, I want something that slides on the floor a little. My knees are killing me with these rubbery sticky bottoms that twist my knees when doing twisting moves. Disappointed.

I am clearly in the minority here, but these shoes were not right for me. They feel heavy and are bulky. I think there were also too wide for me (and I have wide feet) as they allowed my foot to rotate within the shoe in all the side-to-side Zumba moves. Unfortunately, I realized it only after I injured both of my ankles. They do pivot great though!

Studio D felt stiff and hard but the shoe did fit just right at first. But they hurt my feet badly, the ball of feet and top of toes hurt while after just a few minutes of zumba. I wore them 3x's and can't wear them.

I always wear Rykas for group exercise classes--floor aerobics and step aerobics and love them. However, these are NOT for Zumba! Why? They don't slide at all! I bought them to replace a pair of Capezios that had worn out prematurely. I had hoped these would replace my Capezios and last longer. They are supportive but are not for lateral movement or turns, you WILL hurt your knees/ankles with these (if you are over 25!)if you are wearing them in a Zumba or Red Hot Dance class. My advice: stick with Ryka for all group exercise classes but buy a supportive, dance type shoe for dance classes. I just purchased another pair of Capezios, wore them to Zumba class today and the difference was amazing! Hoping that since I didn't buy the bottom-of-the-line Capezio shoe this time, they will last longer!

This is a really cute and comfy sneaker but not for my Zumba class...I needed a shoe that would glide and turn easily across the floor and this shoe did not do that. I felt it stuck to the floor just like my running sneakers did and I ended up with very achy feet after one class. Other than that the shoe was very comfortable to walk around in.

These were REALLY small - I went up 1/2 size and they were still too short - very different fit from other Ryka's I've tried. Back they go.

I was so excited to have these shoes for Zumba, as they had so many rave reviews. I gave them a little over a month to break in, but I was still getting blisters on the bottom of my big toe. I'm not sure why they didn't work for me, I really tried! I was also still having knee pain, and they didn't give me the slide or freedom of movement I was looking for.
