Inner sole didn't fit. Had crinkled around edge so was uncomfortable when I put it on.

These are not good for Zumba! I had high hopes that these shoes would work well for Zumba, as I had been wearing Ryka running shoes for that. These shoes were much narrower than the running shoes are (a problem for me as I have wide feet), and I did not like the amount of fake leather which made them heavy and not breathable. But what made them absolute no gos for Zumba was the stickiness of the sole. There is no twist whatsoever, in spite of the round thing on the bottom. Back they went.

Too stiff for zumba and hip hop. I have the Nike Troupe, block DRT and Nike Ballo and have tried and returned the Nike cameo and musique, they were too stiff just like this Ryka D. Great cushion but the material is not yielding enough for your feet to bend comfortably for dancing.

RYKA for Zumba - I ordered this shoe for Zumba class; the shoe is not too bad, but a little narrow across the front of the foot. So I have to wear the laces slightly loose, which makes it not as efficient for quick turns. Additionally the shoe is not a smooth as I would have liked it to be in pivots. I wish it came in a wide. Also, this shoe is impossible to put orthotics in plus thick socks - designed for a small foot.
I'd also recommend:
If you have a narrow foot, try Nikes Mustique

I ordered them for zumba - Zappos is great - They do move on the wood floor better than my nike or addidas aerobic shoe, but they still stick to the floor during pivots, etc. and cause knee pain. I guess it is hard to find the right sole that provides traction for safety and the ability to glide on floor for dance movements.

Not that happy - I bought them because a lot of people at Jazz had them. I found once they broke in the side support was not that good and they had no support for my heels. I have a spur and my heel was aching by the end of class. I like them for walking but for aerobics I had to switch to another sneaker.

I ordered these shoes for working out on my elliptical machine and lifting weights. I figured they would be good for dancing, as well, based on some of the other reviews. However, these shoes have a slimmer profile than other Rykas, which kind of cramped my long skinny feet. These shoes are also pretty ugly and didn't have as much cushioning or support as other Rykas. If you want a good dance/studio movement shoe, go with Nikes, which are much cuter and have better soles for dancing. If you want a good workout shoe, go with any other pair of Rykas. These are OK, but they don't measure up to other Rykas. I am returning them.

Disappointed - Unlike previous Ryka Studio shoes I've owned, these did not support my foot as much as I need. While they might be okay for low-mid impact aerobics, it's obvious they were not made for high-impact aerobics. About 20 mins into my cardio kick boxing class, my toes started to go numb and my arches were killing me. They look great and are comfortable for doing low impact or weight training, but for a constant bounce, these aren't the shoes for me. I'm going to keep them for weight training and casual exercise, but I'm going to have to buy another pair of shoes to get me through my high impact aerobic classes. I also noticed these have a tendency to roll a bit more than others with less stability, so if you're inclined to have ankle problems or do a lot of lateral moves, again, I don't recommend these. If you just need them for gentle exercise and want a low cut, stylish shoe, these are perfect. I'd definitely wear them around town.

Make sure to order larger! I ordered these in a 9 (per the other reviews) and found that they were still too small (I am usually an 8 1/2). I also feel that the arch could have been a little better, but then I pronate, so this often is the case. Sent them back and I kept the New Balance WR740 (in 8 1/2!) that I ordered to compare them with.

Smaller than other Rykas - I have had Rykas before and knew what my size normally is, but this shoe in particular seems to run a little smaller. I am hoping that they will break in a bit more and become more comfortable.

So Sad these Didn't Work - I purchased these shoes for Jazzercise, excited to have something that looks cool too. Unfortunately, my orthotic takes up too much space in this shoe and made my heel slip out since it sat up so high. I'm sure these shoes would be great if you only use the standard Ryka provided insole.

I wanted to love them. I loved the look and they felt great when I first put them on but during Zumba class my feel felt numb and not enough support.

I found this shoe disappointing. It is all plastic. No mesh, no leather. It feels cheap and is very hot. There is almost no cushioning on the ball of the foot area. I am not sure why so many rated this shoe so highly. I purchased this for zumba. I did find the Ryka fit to be comfortable so I kept the shoe. It's been a few months and I feel like I am dancing directly on the hard floor. I'll try Rykas again, but not these. I wear a size 9 usually and a 9.5 in an athletic shoe. I ordered these in a 9.5 and the size was perfect.

They were attractive enough (I got comments that they looked like dancer's shoes), but they felt flimsy for Zumba. I didn't always feel like my feet were supported. And I felt like they were a bit tight. I couldn't wear my typical athletic socks with these shoes - I had to purchase thinner ones. All in all, I ended up buying a different pair of shoes because my IT Bands acted up with these.

I have Studio Flex and hoped this would be a similar fit. Unfortunately, it's too narrow in the toe box and insufficient arch support even with inserts.

Considering the number of positive reviews, I was disappointed. Remember Earth shoes from years back? That's what the fit of these reminded me of. The heel sunk lower than the ball of the foot. I'm a past fan of Ryka but these were returned immediately.

Bought these for my daughter but sizing is all wrong. Ordered a 12 and it is marked 12 but is more like a 10 1/2. Curious as she has the same style in white and the sizing was correct.

Ordered 2 different sizes and neither fit well. The toe bed is far too wide; even for my wide feet.

Do NOT wear this shoe for aerobics - I wore this shoe for about a month to a high impact aerobics class, and began feeling incredible pain. My feet were extremely sore during each class, and my toes went numb. I finally went to a sports medicine/orthopedic doctor for help. Not only do I have stress fractures in both feet, but when I showed my doctor these shoes, he said, "This is terrible. Listen to me; never EVER wear this shoe for high impact exercise."

Bought this shoe to wear while kickboxing; it works great. The low traction on the sole is perfect for pivoting, kicks, and general boxing footwork.

My grown daughter and I take a weekly Zumba class together. It's a fun way to get together and catch up. She mentioned her shoes were slipping and not performing well during class. Just so happened her birthday was coming up, so I got on line and googled "Zumba shoes". Zappos popped up with these cool Ryka Studio D silver shoes so I got them for her. She loves them! They really make a difference and she can increase her activity level due to the right shoe. Size runs true, sharp looking. I may have to get a pair of Rykas myself!

These shoes are perfect! I have been looking for a shoe to kick box in that has a flat sole and allows pivotal movement along with support and I finally found it. These fit well and allow all the movement I need to maneuver. Thank you Ryka -- my friend wants to know why you don't make this in a men's style!
