I loved both the Kara and the Mazy. The Kara is slightly wider overall but the Mazy is still very comfortable just a little sleeker. The buttons on the Mazy are gunmetal and very discreet. I have other boots from La Candienne and I am impressed with their style and durability. They are worth every penny. However, I realized that I would prefer boots that are dressier and higher on my leg. Do not hesitate to purchase these boots.

I just received these boots and have not worn them out yet. But they are very nice, sexy, chic while being very comfortable and easy to walk in. I'm petite and they fit my small calves well and the shaft is perfect height. I'm very pleased.

Fabulous! I need boots that I can comfortably wear to winter happy hours and hours of networking dinners. One of the other reviewers said these fit like a glove. They do! I tried them on with tights, and they hug my legs exactly. I thought, as good as these fit with tights, there is no way I can wear them with leggings or skinny jeans, but I actually can! They are like miracle boots, but let's be honest, I expect a few miracles for that price. I'm very excited. I bought the Kara, the Martine by La Canadienne, and Marissa by Frye to compare. These are the ones I'm keeping. It was a close race with the Martine, but the Martine ended up being a little wider around the top of the boot than I wanted, making it look less dressy. I did like the higher heel of the Martine though. Both are extremely comfortable for heels! Both of the La Canadiennes felt like significantly better quality than the Frye boots. My feet are a narrow size 7 and the 7 feels great.

These are expensive, but the reviews are right on. I ordered them right before a trip and walked and walked in comfort. I have narrow calves so the shaft was a little wide, but they look great with tights or jeans. So comfortable and stylish. I've already had many compliments.

It is hard to find a boot with a small shaft circumference and La Canadienne makes them. A very stylish and comfortable boot that is water resistant. Perfect for the winter weather ahead.

I liked this shoe. I wear a 6 in all of my other La Canadienne boots, but this particular model I am a 6.5 which is my true size. Not sure why it's different than their other styles. Love the boot though, hope it wears as well as my others.

These are comfortable right out of the box. Very sleek and sexy, but can be dressed casual as well. I plan to keep a mini lint roller handy just in case the suede collects too much lint. I prefer these over the leather because they are soft and a richer black. I am size 6 1/2M in most shoes and these are true to size. I can still comfortably wear socks, but not anything that is too thick. This is a nice form fitting boot that will look fantastic with skirts, dresses and skinny jeans. My calves are 12.3" at the thickest point and these fit nicely around my legs with just enough room for skinny pants. My shaft size is about 16" and these hit about an inch or so below the knee. The shaft size is perfect for those of us that are petite.

I liked these boots a lot; however, I think the price is high considering there are other options which are equally comfortable for about half the price. Now, that being said, these boots are supposed to be water proof, so perhaps they hold up better than similar alternatives.

These are absolutely awesome! These boots are comfortable and stylish. I wear orthotic inserts and these were comfortable on the first wear. They run true to size as well. I highly recommend them!

Fits narrow ankles and calves well. Wore them to snowy NY business trip (read 7 degrees), they looked great and were completely functional the whole time. I did notice my meta-tarsal area was tired at the end of the day, but didn't notice this while wearing them.

Great style and comfort. Slightly large for my calves (13") but doable. I wore them to work all day and had no pains at all! And I am a real baby about foot pain.

I never have written a review but absolutely love these boots! Only wear high heels for parties so not used to wearing heels and dread them. However, this was the first time that I could wear high heels a whole night without aching feet. They are extremely stylish and work well with dresses so you can stay warm and look great at the same time.

Let me just pile on and say this boot is the most comfortable I have ever owned, and straight out of the box. I got it three days ago and have worn daily since. I can't believe this look this great, and also are so comfortable, and are waterproof. Love this brand!

Dream boots for NYC. Look great with work clothes. Fine on the weekend to tromp around all afternoon. Warm. Comfy. Waterproof. Elegant. Forget Hunter or Sorrel. I have a narrow foot with narrower heel and these fit nicely. My calves are slightly on the athletic side, and these work both with just tights and over skinny jeans. I'm looking ahead to purchasing another style of La Canadienne's in black, since I like these so much.

Just got these boots, and I must say, they are absolutely gorgeous! And much more importantly, they are so comfortable. Great quality, and perfect fit. I have slender calves and have trouble finding boots that don't gap at the top - these are just right! No gap! Love them and will wear them with skirts and leggings or skinny jeans.

These are beautiful, comfortable boots. They make any outfit look fantastic. Jeans to dresses. I wear size 11 and they do not look as big as they are. The platform heal keeps you steady on your feet. Insulated for cold winters.

I am a city dweller who walks everywhere. I wanted a pair of winter boots that were waterproof, warm and comfortable to walk in. These boots are it! No more lugging a pair of boots/shoes to change into once I get to my office. These boots do it all. And, they are gorgeous. I liked my boots so much I bought a pair for my sister. Both of us have received a lot compliments on them.

This is my 4th pair of LaCanadienne boots. I will not buy any other brand. I wear my Stephanie boots constantly, but decided on a dressier boot this time. I love the Kara boot. There is room for my toes, it fits well around my narrow calf, and the boot is comfortable to wear! I only wish the boot was in leather rather than suede, even though the suede is beautiful! I am very happy my husband decided to splurge on a Christmas gift for me!

A bit pricey but well worth it! I love these boots and pretty much wear them every day, all day.

I really like this boot. I searched online for a few months before I finally purchased them. I have narrow calves and these fit perfectly. They are comfortable and easy to walk in. Very happy I got them.

I ordered 5 pairs of black boots in hopes of finding 1 keeper. A couple pairs worked but this one was by far the best. I did not think it was possible to have a boot this great looking and super comfortable. Out of the 5 pairs ordered, these were the most expensive by a bit but totally worth it. They are awesome and I will be wearing them for a long time as the quality is so good.

I absolutely love these boots. They are comfortable and stylish, I wore them for eight hours out of the box at work. I use a sit to stand desk and stood almost all day in these boots and my feet never got tired. The tops are nice and tight so they stay up with out having to keep pulling them up all the time. This is my third pair of La Canadienne boots, I cannot say enough about the quality of these boots. Thanks to Zappos for the great service, I ordered the boots at 7:00 PM and by the next day they were at my door.

The most expensive boots I've ever had but really worth it! Look wonderful, so elegant and classy and so comfortable, could not be happier. Never tested for waterproof but prefer not to use them in the rain. Would buy again!

Well made, comfortable and true to size. I would have selected this item if I lived in a cold climate where warmth and weatherproofing were an issue. These would be too warm for regular wear in New Orleans where the boot season is short as is is.
