Classic, good-looking and tough - Normally a size 8.5, I always order size 9 in boots except for this pair. I stayed with the 8.5 and they work for me. These 8.5's fit me just like 9's in other brands would fit. My feet are flat, slightly wider than standard B width and staying true to size worked. It was obvious that if I had gone up to a 9 it would have been too long. I did invest $5 to get the toe section professionally stretched by a cobbler and that did wonders! Breaking these in won't be bad at all after that. The leather is so good, and you can feel it get more supple as you wear it. They are a bit heavy, but I wear steel-toed shoes at work so the weight isn't an issue. I'm so glad I got these! Now I want a pair in black too.

Best thing I ever bought - I have owned these boots for about 3 years now. Envy of all my friends. Have worn in Colorado River and at my hospital. Suggest walking in water and getting wet to break in. Don't be afraid. These boots will last all my life. I am a 54 y.o. nurse.

Love These Boots! This is my first pair of Frye boots and I loved them Immediately! One day of wearing them and they felt broken in! My husband wants a pair as well! I live in the Midwest, so I know they will be great especially in the winter, but, I wear boots almost all year around. I read the other reviews before I purchased them and ordered a 1/2 size smaller than usual. Fit perfect! I also love the service from Zappos, my new favorite!

My 3rd Pair of Frye's - Try just one pair and you'll have to have more! The leathers are so supple that one touch and you'll know they will keep getting better and better with age! Classic and will never ever look dated. And oh, by the way - they are as comfortable as slippers right out of the box! Worth every penny - you'll see!

Beautiful boots - Loves these boots. They are my favorite shoe and I have hardly worn anything else since they came. The shaft of the boot is rather narrow and I almost decided to return them based on the fact I could only BARELY get them over my calves. Glad I stuck with it because they stretched just enough.

Worth the wait! I have been drooling over these boots for months now and finally decided that I would take the plunge and pay the most I've ever paid for shoes, Dansko's are as much as I've ever paid for shoes and even then I usually buy them off Ebay. Wow, talk about worth it. These boots are super comfortable, I put them on right out of the box and they fit like a glove (ordered a 1/2 size down from recommendations). I was first afraid that I would have to wrestle with them to get them on, but nope, they went right on my feet like they were meant to be. Like all cowboyish boots there is slight heel slippage at first but that will go away once the boots wear in. I can't wait to buy more skirts to wear them with for winter. Thanks Zappos for making my first purchase exceptional. You guys have the best customer service; you put others to shame, and are a pleasure to talk with. I will be back, just have to save up for another pair of Frye’s, and will be sending my friends your way.

Gorgeous! The reviews were extremely helpful. Color is not like the name, beautiful brown color and the sizing tips were accurate, half a size smaller than your regular size. Shipping was so quick and Zappos has great customer service!!

Exceeded my expectations! I ordered my usual size and these cool boots fit perfectly. I read about them on the Frye website, and you should expect some heel slippage at first, but then you develop a crease over the arch, and they have molded to your foot - voila! The first day I wore them to work I got about five compliments. I just love them.

Love 'em! Love these boots! Look cool. Feel great. I have had no break-in period at all. Never spent this much on shoes before, but well worth the $200!! Will definitely be buying more Frye boots in the future.

Very hard to get on - I ordered my boots online on a Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm received the very next day at 3:30pm. Even the UPS driver was boggled how I got them so fast when I told him I ordered them at 7:00pm the night before. That’s fast and I love Zappos for that. The boot itself is great, I wear a 7 and stuck with a 7 and am glad I did. I could have never gotten into a 1/2 size smaller as I had to wrestle with them to get them on. I even put on Nylon socks and still struggled. But after much work Viola!!! I'm in and I love them, now if I can just get them off? Might need a little help.

Perfection - I looked and looked at these boots, both online and in stores and I thought and thought about them for weeks. Finally I decided to order them just to see how they looked and felt and to gauge just how much I'd love them/needed them. Plus I figured I could always send them back. From the moment I opened the box, I was in love. All reservations about price and style went out the window. A few days later though I decided I couldn't afford them and called for a return label and sealed them up and was ready to send them back. Then I opened the box again and I knew they weren't going anywhere. No regrets. Although at first they're hard to get on and off, and they rub the sides and heels of the feet, they truthfully aren't that bad to break in and once they are, they are amazing on. Comfortable, cute, perfection. I have narrow feet though so that might be why they weren't as bad as everyone warned me they would be to break in. The insides of the boot shaft are a little sharp at the seams so a tall sock is advisable to break them in with, but the shaft relaxes and slouches a little above the harness strap, which only makes them more amazing. These really are the best boots of all time. They go with everything, especially skirts and dresses. I have skinny calves and I love the way they make my legs look. Winter, spring, summer, fall, these boots are versatile and beautiful. I ordered a half size down at the recommendation of other Zappos reviews and was happy with this decision. Don’t forget they're comfortable too! I wear them to work all the time and I'm on my feet for 8 and 9 hours at a time. I tried them without socks at the suggestion of a friend who has Frye’s and they were even better barefoot: socks to break them in and later barefoot. The tan color is really more of a (beautiful!!) chocolate (Zappos picture is color accurate.) I get compliments on them all the time and I have never once regretted not sending them back. They are worth ever single penny. Buy these boots; really, you're going to love them forever.

Finally - I bought these after 2 years of lusting after them, I bought a half size larger, but the review is correct, I just got them so I could wear heavier socks if I wanted. They are really tough to put on, and the only reason I was able to keep them is because of someone else's review recommending putting them on with plastic to stretch them first. Best advice I ever got, thank you my cowgirls!!!! They are awesome; all I can say is happy birthday to me.

Wow! Just got my boots (they came overnight even though I was past the 1:00 deadline, thanks Zappos!) and they are some of the most well made, good looking boots I've seen. Just a little stiff, but I can tell that they will loosen up nicely with wear. The color and finish are perfect, and the picture is very accurate. I would highly rec these boots for someone that is looking for a casual, contemporary western boot.

Love 'em! These look terrific with mini-skirts and sundresses! The reviews that say they run big threw me off, though. For me, they were true to size.

AWESOME! My Frye Harness boots are worth every penny! They are cool looking and beautifully made as well. I have a pair of harness mules so sizing was no problem. They run pretty true to size. The full harness boot is nicer than the mule. The mule is too heavy for the type of footwear it is. But...you DESERVE a pair of Frye Harness boots. You won't be sorry!

A little country, a little rock 'n roll - I love, love, love these boots. They are my go-to shoes to wear with jeans, but I've also worn them with skirts for a little sass. I normally wear a 9 1/2 and went with the 9 and they fit perfectly. Will be a long-term favorite as they are built to really last. Thanks!

Lookin' & Feelin Good! I've been eyeballing these boots for years and finally I purchased my own. They're beautiful and very rugged - I expect them to last for years. Like most reviewers state, they're a bit tough to get on & off - once you get your foot in they fit like a glove. Tried mine out for the first time hoofing it around NYC, and did quite well running for the subway, dodging cabs & they were appropriate for the daytime with jeans and evening with dressier clothes. I'm a 7.5 usually and the 7 fits well with a thin sock.

I Love These! I gave away my Ariats because they made my toes go numb, but these are wonderful. After reading reviews, I went with my regular size because I have wide feet. One foot is slightly wider through the instep than the other and with a couple hours of wear, both boots felt the same. They are really comfortable and the heaviness doesn't bother me. They look so cool, like you've had them forever. They come with character built in. I have trouble getting boots to fit around the shank, but these come to about mid-calf and fit perfectly. I can't wait to go out dancing in them!

I LOVE these boots & love Zappos! I am so impressed, once again, with Zappos' exceptional customer service. I ordered my boots last night at 5pm and they arrived this afternoon, shipping free of charge!! They fit absolutely perfectly- at the recommendation of all the previous buyers I ordered 1/2 size down- and I love them!! The arch support is excellent and they are great, hip, tough boots that I imagine I'll have for a very long time.

I love these boots--I debated a lot before deciding to spend the money and it’s completely worth it. They are attractive and durable and comfortable. They go with anything and everything.
