Choose size wisely...I love these boots but I went a half size smaller than my usual because of other people's comments and the availability (I'm usually a 9 and the only sizes available for me were 8.5 or 9.5). I have skinny feet and they are a bit tight in the width but very loose in the heel. If you have wide feet: go larger or stick with your usual size, and if you must…add inserts for your heel. Other than that, a great buy!

I would sleep in these - AMAZING boot! HOT, sexy, classic & always trendy, look awesome with skirts & jeans. I normally wear 8.5 but ordered size 8. Keep my feet wonderfully warm in the winter and in the spring & fall I wear thinner socks and my feet never sweat! Can't go wrong with this one. I am a personal stylist in NYC and this is A MUST HAVE IN YOUR WARDROBE!

Worth it! After getting your Fryes you'll, never wear flip flops with a skirt again! Trust me! I wore mine with a denim skirt out on the town and noticed how many flip flops there were... and boy, do these boots make a statement! OK, now for the bad. They do take almost 5 minutes to put on, but after reading the reviews, I figured that was typical. I almost gave up and shipped them back. Don't give up. Keep working your foot in a little at a time. I had some tender spots after wearing them for a few hours, like on the outside of my baby toe. Might get a blister from that. I did not wear socks. Oh, and getting them off is also a chore. You might want someone around when you need them off. My boyfriend broke a sweat pulling them off. I have heard they are like that. Bottom line... killer boots! They are totally sweet and turn heads. Might take some effort. I bought a half size down. I think that was the right move, but maybe had I not, they might have been a tad bit easier to get on and off. You'll L-O-V-E them!

Stellar - I will be buying more Fryes! Comfortable, classic, perfect heel height (not too high or too low), the shaft height is also ideal; keeps you warm in winter and lets you show a little leg in summer, and made in the USA. Also, I'm excited about the size. This is one of the first pairs of shoes I've owned in which I can wear my actual size and not feel cramped (because my feet are wide). These boots are well worth the price.

fryes - I absolutely love this boot! When I first ordered them, I was slightly discouraged because I couldn’t get them on, but found that the heel support was merely getting in the way. I rounded out the heel section with my hand and tried again. Perfect fit! These boots do take a little effort to get on and off, simply because they are boots and they fit well. I have very large arches in my feet, and I have found that they are never sore after wearing these shoes for a good fifteen hours. I love the look of the shoe very much also. I say, it’s worth the money if you wear boots a lot!

Wow! These boots really are as great as all the reviews say. I just got mine in the mail and they fit great right off the bat. So I haven't worn them outside or for very long yet, but you hardly notice the heel at all and overall are just amazing quality boots. I'm so excited to wear them once the weather changes from summer to fall!

My favorites! I love these boots, I wear them almost every day! Don’t be discouraged by how hard they are to get on/off at first, they soften up with a few wears and will become your favorite pair of shoes in no time! I wear them with everything!

Best Boots - I have had these boots for 8 years and they just get better every year. I wear them just about every day and have only had to re-heel once. At first they might seem to slip a little at the heel but that goes away after wearing them. Comfortable from the beginning - no "wearing in" stage! You won't be sorry you bought them - great with jeans, cute with dresses - you'll wear them all the time. I have back problems with many shoes but I can wear these all day and feel great.

Nice boots/ tough fit - These boots are beautiful but very difficult for me to get on. I have a high arch and maybe that is the problem but I definitely break a sweat and have to allow extra time to get these on! Once they are on they are very comfortable and look great. The price we pay for beauty!

Frye Harness 12R W will you marry me? True love. My advice on size is that if your feet tend toward wide, order your true size; if they're narrow, order 1/2 down. I'm an 8 almost-wide, and the 8s fit well. Heel slippage is normal to me in a pull-on boot. The color "tan" is, as pictured, more of a milk chocolate brown and a pleasant slightly-mottled oiled leather (for the record I generally hate mottling, heather, all of it, and these fall w/in my range of acceptability). Don't bother with cheap boots b/c you'll just wear your Fryes. As for Zappos, believe the hype. I ordered at 2:40pm and received my order the next morning before 10. Smart move; you can bet I'll buy more.

Love Zappos! I ordered these boots on a Wed., and got them the next day, after receiving an email from Zappos that I wouldn't have to wait the 3-5 days for shipping. I did not pay extra for one day shipping. I was so excited! The reviews that said to buy a half size smaller were correct, I think. They take a couple days of wearing them to break in, but I love them!

Great Boot! This is a great boot from minute one. They are very comfortable, but did take a 1/2 size smaller which I'm really happy about as they've stretched out and the larger size would have been too big. I love boots and this is one of my favorite pairs!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these boots! I would definitely go down half a size. I wear 7.5 but ordered a size 7 because of the reviews. They were very snug at first but after a few days they were broken in. I have gotten so many compliments! Love Zappos!

Best Boots ever - I ordered the exact shoe size and they fit perfectly. They are the most comfortable boots for going out on the town or trail riding on your favorite horse. I love them!

Love em - I usually wear a 9 1/2 or 10, but got a 9 instead. I am glad I did. My heel comes up when I walk, and the first day my toes felt squished, but a few days later they are broken in and wonderful. They make my feet look slightly longer than most shoes, but they are so bad**s that I don't mind at all. The dark brown creases and fades a little lighter making them look even better. I love mine.

Everyone should get them - I wear a size 7 and bought these in a 7 and they fit perfectly. They look great with a dress or jeans and are very comfortable. I did notice the slip in the heel, but I figure once I broke them in they will fit like a glove. Definitely worth the expense.

Awesome boots! I absolutely love these boots, and am so glad I finally got them after years of wishing for them! After reading other peoples' reviews I decided to go for 7.5 even though I'm usually a size 8, and I'm happy I did that. At first they're a little hard to get on and off but they definitely loosen up with wear and get very comfortable. They fit nicely under your jeans, or you can fit skinny jeans inside of them comfortably. Definitely worth the money!

One of my best shoe investments ever! I must have looked at I don't know how many boots and decided to go with Frye because they're the originals. Best worn with between thick and thin socks as these will take awhile to wear in. They have a very attractive finish that I think will age well. I've worn them with skirts and jeans, I love the square toe. I'm thinking of buying them in black!

Wide Foot - I just received these boots in tan and they look amazing, great color. I have a wider foot and I'm a true 8. I ordered an 8 and they fit perfect, I would not size down. Apparently they are supposed to slip a bit in the heel according to other reviews, but it's not annoying at all. I spent the money on these because I know they are a classic and will wear for years to come. I did a lot of research on the Durango Harness boot but wanted the authentic Frye leather and fit. Don't worry if your foot is a bit wide, these feel great and I know they will soften up the more wear I get. I'm very excited to finally own these beauties!

Great Boots! I really wanted semi-casual boots to wear over my jeans and these are perfect! They are super cute on. The only thing is I definitely recommend ordering a size down from your normal size. I usually buy shoe size 8 to 8.5 and I got these boots in a 7.5. I knew before ordering because I had tried them on in the department store.

Fabulous! I ordered my new Frye Harness boots Monday evening around 11pm and received them yesterday. I put them on and WOW - I'm in love! These are already my new favorite boots! They look incredible on - especially, as others have said, with flirty/flowy dresses - but really with anything. I bought my regular size (9)... they do feel somewhat roomy but fit perfect with 2 pairs of socks... I’m going by the assumption that they will mold to my feet once I wear them in (and I'd rather them feel slightly big at first then too small). Don't hesitate, they're worth it.

Frye Harness - These boots are so fabulous! I ordered my usual size (size 7) and they are perfect. I would have to disagree with other reviews - don't size down! I have had Frye boots before and they are supposed to be loose in the heel when you first wear them and over time the heel conforms to your foot. I also have a narrow heel but I swear the heel of the boot will eventually shape around your foot. In fact the whole boot from toe to heel shapes around your foot, but they do take a little while to break in (maybe wear thick socks at first). I especially love the rubber outer sole on these, I had the campus before which were great but the leather was very slippery. The rubber sole on these is FABULOUS.
