These were somewhat cute and fairly comfortable, but not enough to justify the price. The top of the toe box is padded like a slipper, which is comfy, but I think it would be too hot and sweaty with regular wear. I went with my normal European size (38), although I am generally a 7.5 and sometimes even an 8. I don't think that size 38 should represent an American size 7.

I bought these in the iridescent green. I love the color. It makes me think of shimmering fish skin. I was surprised at how big they were. I ordered my usual 40, but they were much too big.

This Naot shoe is stylish and well crafted. I have a difficult time finding shoes because my feet are two different sizes, 8.5 and a 9. I ordered a 39, and it fits both feet well. My one criticism is the lack of arch support that I expected from Naot, and from the expense. If I wear these for a long time, my feet cramp. However with the velcro strap, it would be an ideal shoe for orthotics. Stylewise I think it's cool and versatile.

Overall nice shoes. The trim on the brown pair is gold, which I wasn\'t expecting; I\'m a platinum or silver fan, not into gold, but still an adorable shoe. The heel is a bit narrower than I\'m used to (Keen fan here), so I twist my ankle easily in these, but will get used to it. Overall a nicely made shoe, lightweight but nicely supportive. I receive many compliments when wearing these.

I have consistently worn this shoe for a year, at least once a week if not more. Today, I noticed that the rubber sole is coming unglued from the shoe. Has anyone else had this problem after a year of wearing this Naot shoe? I have been careful to not wear them in the rain; that is not the cause of the problem. I was going to order a second pair in another color, and I decided to examine the shoes, closely, to make sure it was worth the investment. My careful scrutiny revealed this problem on both shoes. I will delay ordering a second pair, now.

Most comfortable maryjanes I have ever had. The strap is a little long - may take to a shoemaker to have the strap shortened. I work on my feet 10 hours a day - good on back as well as the feet and legs. I bought the steel blue - may consider getting other colors. I get compliments on these shoes - they looked good with crop pants and capris. I always tell people - "Zappos is the best"!

I love these shoes. They are eye-catching and sort of dressy, yet very comfortable. Can walk all day around NYC, and feel dressy at dinner. As to size, when I put them on, I thought the toe might be tight, but when I stood up and walked...perfect. No sore spots anywhere since.

While these Naots may not be the most stylish shoe, they are without a doubt extremely comfortable. I ordered them and they were on my feet 24 hours later.

Very cute shoes. Ordering 1 size down didn't work; my right foot is a 42. Usually my slightly smaller left foot has no problem with a half-size larger shoe, but on these some critical piece of support is missing, & I've developed severe heel pain. If I tighten the strap to excess, the support improves. I was looking for something to show off hand-knit socks & these these aren't it. Great service from Zappos.

Great comfort and support in this shoe. The metal buckle on the velcro strap causes a little pressure on top of the foot. However, one can make adjustments to correct the problem. Also very well made.

I have a pair of these in the metallic gold/black and I love them. I wouldn't ordinarily spend this much on a pair of shoes, but I'm trying to avoid knee surgery and needed something flat with good arch support that didn't look like hiking boots or orthopedic shoes. These come with a removable insole, so you can use your own custom orthotics if you want. I don't need a custom orthotic, at least not at this point, but I did insert a little pad underneath the insole to give a little boost to the arch support (I have high arches). They are bedroom-slipper comfy right out of the box. I usually wear a 6-wide to 6 1/2 regular depending on the length and width. These are just a tiny bit loose at the heel in a 36, but not enough to be uncomfortable. The heel is soft, not rigid, so I don't have a problem with rubbing. I've gotten several compliments. They definitely look more "trendy" than orthopedic. Now I need to find some cute sandals with good arch supports. The only reason I give these 4 stars overall is that it's a lot to pay for what is really a pretty simply-constructed shoe.

These shoes rock. I bought them in advance of a trip to Europe so I'd be able to "break them in", but the minute I put them on they were incredibly comfortable. They work with everything from jeans to skirts and I've gotten lots of compliments. I'm a little concerned about the metallic finish; don't know how they'll look in a few months.

As a busy teacher, I am on my feet for much of the day. I bought these on the recommendation of a friend who had experience with Naot shoes. I have been struggling with pain from plantar fasciitis and needed a comfortable shoe that would give me some relief. I did not want to wear a pair of ugly granny shoes! I love the style of these, and the leather is so soft. My foot is more comfortable but, alas, not entirely pain free. I understand it is a long process to recover from p.f. The foot doctor looked at these shoes and tut-tutted, and said I need a higher heel and a higher arch. He also says they don't provide enough support/motion stability. So I have had to continue the search for the "miracle" shoe. However, these are an improvement from all the flats I had been wearing before I developed p.f. I wear them when I need a dressier shoe; I add heel lifts and arch supports. It is a little hard to discern the color of "steel leather with black suede" (the color of my Naots) on the computer screen. I thought they would be gray and black, but they are more of a navy or gray-blue. Regardless, they are a fine looking shoe and there is nice comfy room in the toe-box for my wide foot and sensitive little toes!

Really nice looking shoes. Unfortunataly they did not work for me. All my Naots are size 39 but in this model size 39 is slightly too long and 38 too short. Too bad becuase they are really nice. I have Kumara in 39 and absolutely love them.

I was excited to receive these stylish Israeli shoes. The design and color contrasts (two greens and a hint of a blue edging) are creative, and the quality of materials and workmanship is undisputed. Because other reviews note that the shoe runs large, I ordered in my regular size and one size down. Although the arch support in the foot beds seemed slightly "off center" in both sizes, I ignored that "red flag" and kept my regular size (US size 7). As an elementary teacher, I figured I'd be more likely to be comfy all day in that size and that my foot would adjust to the "bump" in the footbed. After one wearing, my decision turned out to be mostly accurate. Because of slight stress owing to the inserts, I am considering replacing them with other foot beds.

Great shoe - These are a treat for me as Naot is a bit pricey for my circumstances, but I had purchased another Naot shoe awhile ago and they are still going strong. I wanted something colorful so I chose the apricot/sienna. Everyone loves them. They DO run large so order accordingly.

Great city shoe - The minute I slid my feet into these, they appreciated the light but supportive construction and the caress of the soft lining. A great shoe for a long day on city pavements.

Very comfortable straight out of the box. Took a while to get used to the negative heel ramp but now I like it. Best shoe I've had for booth duty at a trade show.

Naot Matai - Unusual combination of imaginative design and comfortable. The pair I ordered were too wide for my feet, but were a great choice for my artist daughter who loves the style and comfort.

Cute shoe - These shoes are very cute, a little more "out there" than my usual. They are comfortable, but don't provide enough support for me to wear for extended periods. If you follow the European sizes, they seemed very true to size. I can't speak to the American sizes as I find that I seem to wear a different American size in every brand. The stitching on one of the shoes was a bit weird on one side of one shoe, so it looks a little funny, but in general, I like these shoes. More for going out for a few hours rather than being on my feet all day at work.

I love this shoe. I have foot problems (neuroma and swelling under my toes) and have a very difficult time finding shoes that are comfortable. While Naots don't solve my foot problems, they do offer the support I need without using my orthotics. Naots have so far worked for me though they are pricey. Other reviewers prompted me to purchase this particular shoe - we are planning a trip to Italy and it will be one of my main pairs of walking shoes. I'm hopeful that they will be everything I want them to be - comfortable, cute and long lasting. ANd of course, hats off to Zappos-I ordered my shoes and received them the next day - customer service is one of the reasons I chose to shop at a store. ANd while I"m sure some of the shipping costs are built into some of the shoe prices, I love the no hassle "free shipping-free return." Zappos you are great!

Too tight and prickly. I am a true believer in Naot shoes. Usually I can put on a pair fresh out of the box and wear them for days with no break in. This pair (I ordered pink) did not satisfy me and are slated for immediate return: I was going to wear these without socks but the leather edge near my toes pressed uncomfortably into my skin and there were bits of thread that poked and pricked the top of my foot. I will reorder my true size next time.

Great looking walking shoe - For a walking shoe that provides excellent support, this shoe is wonderful. I didn't give it a five because of the strap. There's no stretch or elastic on the side and can tend to be a bit uncomfortable if you're walking for a long time… that may include hills (i.e. San Francisco) and make the top of your foot a bit tender. It almost eliminates it if you just leave it a bit loose - wear as if it's a slip on and the strap is decoration. That said, it's relatively minor.

Very comfortable shoes with a velcro strap that ensures a custom fit. Nice arch support. Good traction. Despite having details that try to pretty these shoes up, the feet look like 2 paddles while wearing them! Ok for pants, but unattractive with casual skirts or dresses. I wear them when I want the comfort of a slipper and when fashion does not matter.

A shame it didn't fit - Very comfy footbed, but I have a very narrow heel, and couldn't hang onto the back of the shoe. The toe box also seemed shallow, such that my big toe hit the top of the shoe. Very cute -- so sorry that I had to return it. I appreciate Zappos' return/shipping policies -- great company!!!
