this shoe is absolutely lovely, well made and comfortable, except on my left foot. There is a seam on the inside of the shoe that cuts right across my bunion, causing a lot of pain, even sitting. I so wanted to have these shoes, but they have to go back to someone elses foot with no bunions.

I ordered my usual size and the length was perfect but the shoe was too wide. Also, it's not leather, as described, but feels like suede or nubuck.

A cute shoe' but they were too long and too wide. I wear 11N in most shoes; however my NAOT sandals are a 12 N-M. I ordered a 12 in Matai. I don't think ordering down to an 11 would correct the width issue.

These are pretty shoes and the size 43 is long enough -- though I usually wear an 11, not a 12. But my flat feet cause an unsightly gap and so I must return them. I will try more Naot size 43s.

Sad I couldn't keep! These shoes were super cute and comfy, but sizes didn't work for me. Originally got a 40 based on size description and comments. I'm usually a 8 1/2 or 9 (39 European). Was concerned that there was a significant amount of space in the toe, but thought I could make it work. But they rubbed my heel because of the extra room. Tried a 39 and those were too small, so a no go.

There were problems getting a good fit and the color I wanted in my local stores, but I was able to determine the correct size to order for toe comfort. I am happy with the color and overall fit of this shoe, but the heels slip off my foot and I don't have a narrow heel.

I ordered a few pairs of Naots and wasn't sure I wanted to keep these. At first the look of the angled strap kind of bothered me. But they are so comfy. So I decided to keep them and now wearing them, I've gotten more used to the aesthetic. They are really, really comfy and cute enough!

Love the style and fit, with one unfortunate exception. The velcro...the strap is too short to fit across my high arch and lock into the "hook" portion of the material. It leaves almost two inches of the touch snaggy "hook" velcro exposed. This stuff will "grab" at everything it touches - pats hems, upholstery, socks if ankles are crossed... So with regret the must be returned. They are probably wonderful for those with lower arches.

Cool shoes but I had to return them. Could not find the right fit. Zappos' service is so good I felt bad that I could not purchase the shoes!

I have bunions with a narrow heel, so you can imagine how difficult it is to get shoes to fit. I walk out of them or they're too tight in the toe box. I have to stick with Mary Jane styles for the most part. I first bought these in copper and they were wonderful. I've tried so many different brands of shoes, from all price points and these are the only ones that work. I tried a different style of the Naot, but they too narrow in the toe box. I decided to stick with a style that works, so I bought a black pair, but unfortunately there was a stitching flaw in the right shoe that rubbed on my side of my foot. I had to return them for another pair. I do hope my replacements are as wonderful as my first copper pair.

Pros: comfortable, good support, lightweight, well made,looks better on my size 12 feet than I thought it would. Cons: I have flat, medium width feet and narrow heels so finding shoes that fit and hold my heels in place is difficult. The Matai are tolerable with the addition of heel grips.

Pros: Cute shoe, slanted Mary Jane strap good for someone with a high instep. Cons: Just not wide enough. My experience: I love the Naot Sea and wear them daily, my only complaint being the Mary Jane strap hurts the top of my foot. I was excited to try the Naot Maitai as the strap is set at a slant. I ordered the 37 in metal leather/black. The style/color of the shoe was cool, and the strap did not bother my feet. Unfortunately, they are not as wide as the Naot Sea, and I wouldn't be able to wear them comfortably, so they were returned.

Cute as can be; if these came in a wide I would order them in every color. For my foot (bunions, arthritis pain) I need a wider toe box; they cut deep into my foot just at the bottom of the big toe joint. Very sad to be sending them back -- really hoped these would solve the comfort/fashion dilemma -- if they had, they'd have been worth every penny of the price.

I have purchased Naot shoes before. These Mary Jane's are nice looking and comfy. The strap should be wider, I think. The shoes are pricey, so hope they will be as durable as past Naot purchases.

Extremely comfortable. Walked all over NYC without problems with and without socks. Only question is they were supposed to be shiny black leather -- expected something close to patent -- not shiny at all, but matte.

These shoes were super comfortable. I ordered down a size because I read that they run big. So true. However, I wasn't keen on the style, especially for my large foot so sadly, I'll be returning them. If you want barefoot comfort, though, order Naots.

These were so comfortable on my buniony feet. I ordered a size down as recommended, and the fit was just right. But, sadly, they were not nearly as cute on as I hoped they would be - the look felt almost orthopedic. For the price, I must return them because I just do not see myself wearing them enough. I am just not ready to give up entirely on cute shoes.

These definitely run large. I ordered a 6 but they feel like 7s. Try getting a size smaller than your usual size. If I wear socks, they fit pretty good. Cinching up the straps helps, too, but if they're too tight, there is a metal strap loop that presses down on my instep. Might experiment with putting moleskin on the loop or my instep. Super-comfortable, roomy toe box, with a decent insole. Pretty cute in a geek-chic way. Didn't need any breaking-in. Plan to wear these for walking all over in Paris.

Hm. I expected more, or different. These shoes feel loose and sloppy on my feet - I will need to wear socks with them. There isn't enough arch support (but I am a person who needs MAXIMUM arch support. I am not going to try sizing down, as I have a long second toe (especially on one foot) and it gets squished easily. I like the quality and the swirl decoration, but overall these shoes make my feet look big and "bloppy". I have some Mary Janes made by Born that are cuter, cheaper, and fit me better.

I loved the look of the shoe, but the toe box angles off, and unfortunately i'm one of those people whose 2nd toe is longer than the big toe. Because of the shape of the box my 2nd toe would push into the toe of the shoe. Size 11 was too small and size 12 was too long. They were just too painful to wear so I am returning them.

I had to return this shoe because my second toe which is slightly longer that my big toe was rubbing right up against the tip of the shoe. It didn't hurt but previous experience has taught me that over a short period of time of wear this would hurt and I would not be able to return them. I would not purchase this shape of a shoe again.

I loved this shoe as soon as I put it on...comfy! Today is the first time I'm wearing it all day and I find that the right shoe squeaks. Yes, it has an annoying little squeak whether I walk on carpet or hard floor. I'm returning them for another pair.

I have arch problems and was looking for shoes that I could wear with socks for the winter months that was still somewhat stylish (I am an elementary school teacher). When I got these shoes, I loved them. Now that I have had them a year, I have realized that they are a bit too big for me. I usually wear a 10½ or a 10W and bought a 10 in these shoes. They are still too big on me and wish I had half a size smaller. I like them, they are very comfortable. The arch support is fine, but nothing spectacular. They are kind of expensive, though.

I love the shoe. My only disappointment is the actual finish on the shoe. At the toe of both shoes, there are several places where the black finish I worn down and shows 100% of the gold. I was disappointed that Zappos would send them out this way. But, by the time I decided this really bugged me, I had already worn them several times and they feel great! I sent the manufacturer an email asking how I could touch up the black finish, but they never answered.

I can wear Naot Matai all day long. This shoe has excellent arch support and a higher & wider toe box. Comfort without the look of an orthopedic shoe.
