I like these shoes overall; but the heel area is a little loose. I wouldn’t want then any tighter anywhere else though. Maybe needs more padding or something around heel area.

I’m a big fan of my 8+-year-old Naot Matai shoes, which I found to be extremely comfortable from the very beginning and which served me well. However, when I tried to replace them with the same size, 39M, in a new pair of the Matais, they seemed small and too narrow, with a much narrower, more pointed toe box, and leather that was not as pliable. Am now going to try a size 40M in a different style of the Naots.

This is my second pair of Naot Matai. I was thrilled to find they still had it in the same color as I had totally worn out my other pair over the 15 years I had them. At the beginning, the leather is stiff but experience tells me it will soften up with wearing. The metallic sheen is just enough so they aren't too dark and "clunky" looking. I'm very pleased with them and hope they last another 15 years when I'll be 85!

Very comfortable but I had to send back because there was a slight flaw in the stitching/shape of the inner Right foot shoe. Luckily there was still a couple of pairs left so I reordered. The metallic color is very nice and goes with a lot of my wardrobe.

I like Naot shoes and I'd like to buy a pair, but the sizes are so inconsistent it's hard to do that. I've never worn a size 41 but that seems to be my Naot size, except when it's not. I'm going to try a 41 in these.

These were cute and comfortable but I just didn't like the color. I wish they were wider but I think they would stretch to fit.

The fit and size were right on. Excellent arch support. Pretty shoes. Only problem was that when I walk, they flop up and down on my heel. So disappointed. I was all ready to love these shoes. Never had that problem before.

The shoes are very comfy, but weren't compatible with my orthotic. They are a little dorky looking too.

I love the pattern and style of this shoe, and the footbed is perfect for me. The only issue I had was the textile was an unforgiving tightness across the top of my left foot. I checked this against a pair of the same shoe in leather--no problem whatsoever with the leather shoe. Sadly, blue textile was cute but uncomfortable, so back it went.

Beautiful shoes, very nice for comfortably dressing up.

size and fit were good, but didn't like the way they looked on my feet.....looked kind of awkward on me.....they have been returned for another Naot style

Loved the shoe but the front of the shoe gapped and the strap rubbed on my left foot.....too bad as it is a fun shoe and felt great to walk in....am returning and trying to find the right Naot for me.....I have worn Propet, aravan, and danskos, but looking for the perfect fit for an upcoming trip with lots of walking

I really didn't care for the way this shoe looked on my foot - it looked huge, but actually was pinching my toes. I followed advice from reviews of another Naot shoe and ordered down, but that didn't work for me. Thank you, Zappos, for your awesome customer service.

Love the feel and look, but just a tad to snug at try on. Either need longer or wider to keep. I am sad. Will try different Naot in a similar style that is offered in a womens 12 Wide.

I did not like how this style looked on my feet even though it had soft leather and a comfortable inside.

I like the color (luggage brown) and style. However the fit is too loose around the ankles where the leather gaps. I need a shoe that holds my foot more securely as i have weak ankles. I must return them.

These shoes were more attractive on than I thought they might be. The design follows the curve of my toes nicely. They are close fitting and unless they loosen up over time I won't be wearing socks with them. I usually wear and 9.5 shoe and got the 40. The shoe accommodates a bunion on my left foot with no problem. My only problem with the shoes is the stitching on the strap and along the inside sides of the shoes. It was irritating but I like the shoes so tacked in some moleskin and problem solved.

I purchased my first pair of the Naot Matais about 10 years ago. It was the perfect shoe, and the only time I ever garnered a compliment on the shoes I was wearing. I have also purchased the Naot Rahina, which has the same footbed. Both styles of shoes were a 38. This time around the 38 was noticeably larger, but luckily I also ordered a 37, which fit much more like the previous 38s. But I am bummed about the fact that the heel does not fit the same. It's much looser, and I never had one problem with a loose heel in my old Naot Matais. I'm disgruntled. I'm going on a trip, and now I have to figure out if I am going to keep them or not. Shoe shopping is a pain.

They feel just a bit tighter than my ancient Naot Matai of the same size. I'm assuming that they will break in and be just perfect. I feel sure that one size up would be way too large from past experience.

This is a beautiful shoe but unfortunately too narrow for me. I had been told these run narrow but I wanted to give them a try anyway because they are great quality shoe and I was looking for a good arch support. My feet are wide in the front and I have a narrow heel and wear a 9.5. I ordered the 10 since they don't come in 1/2 sizes and the length was perfect and the arch support was wonderful. If they came in wide (which I actually think would be more of a normal regular) they would have been great!

They don’t run small anymore. These are much smaller than any of my many other Matais. Mostly narrower.

I only had a problem with the patent leather. I have several pairs of Matai and these were a whole size smaller and very narrow compared to all the others. They no longer run large, they now run small.

I originally ordered size 41 in the Saddle Brown/Olive (beautiful color)and it slipped on my heel. I returned it for a size 40 which fit better, but still slipped on my heel. I really hate that they didn't work for me.

Love these shoes but have recently been having problems with the quality. The first 2 pairs I received starting squeaking within a few months and now the latest pair I have the buckle broke. For this kind of money I'd like them to last a while longer. However the upside is Zappos is an awesome company to deal with.
