Very comfortable but the uppers are just not stiff enough to stabilize your foot on rough trails. Great on smoother surfaces, but for anything rough I will go back to my Voyageurs. (The Arroyos have the same sole as the Voyageurs.)

I want to love Keens but they never fit my feet correctly. These were no exception. They were to tight on the top of my foot and because my little toe is very short it popped out the side of the sandal. I guess Keens just aren't for me.

Sending back. Rubbed the back of my foot. Also--reviewers who say this shoe runs large are correct. I ordered down and still felt the toe area was way big. One more thing: I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in my opinion, these shoes look very masculine, i.e. not cute...but, to each her own, I suppose.

I am a huge fan of Keen, and in my field those are fast becoming industry "standard", a go to shoe for people who are on their feet 13 plus hours a day. I just purchased my 5th or 6th pair. I cannot, however, endorse this model. After about a year, the heel wore out on the outside quadrant, so when you look at them from behind, they look angled by like 20 degrees. I kid you not. I rolled my ankle on those very badly walking on level ground, (wound up in an ambulance) and didn't know why until I looked at the heel. The rubber compound the soles are made of just doesn't last as long as it needs to. The whole shoe then lost it's shape, and even though otherwise those would be perfectly wearable, I had to toss them. I have a pair of Merrell and Ecco athletic shoes that are twice as old and do not wear out like these did. Yikes.

The shoe is comfortable. I liked that the toes are well protected. It is also great to walk in. But like a few others, my heel kept slipping. This bothered me too much so returning these. If no slippage, would have kept them, they are great!

I wore this style shoe for years and loved it! They had support, did not have that rubber insole that was not compatible with orthotics. Unfortunately, I could not find them in the store this year and tried buying them online. The first pair I received were too big, but I kept them because I needed the shoes, and ordered another pair half size smaller. They were also too big, but I kept them and tried to order a third pair another half size smaller only to find out they quit making them. The new shoes, that look like the old ones are not compatible with orthotics. They have the signature one piece rubber sole with a built in one size fits all arch support. Now I am stuck with 2 pairs of shoes that are too big and no way to purchase ones that do fit.
I'd also recommend:
If I had something, I would have a pair of shoes that fit.
