I had an old pair of these that did not fit anymore after having kids so wanted to try another since I had loved the first ones so much. I read the reviews first and decided to order a 1/2 size up. I,m glad that I did. I am normally an 8 (a 71/2 before 3 kids) but ordered an 81/2. They fit great and are just as comfy and well built as my old ones.

These replace the same boot I bought 6 years ago. Good wide toe box for my feet and especially accommodating a bunion. I walk 4 1/2 miles most days in winter and these are my footwear for cold Syracuse winter. These boots also accommodate my warm thick winter socks.

Just wore them out for their first hike today. Keen's customers know to order a size up; they run short. So these were perfect at an 8.5 instead of 8. Comfortable; no break-in required. Great tread for packed dirt trails, even steep ones. We will see how the woven lace loops hold up.

I wonder how many people don't know their correct shoe size, based on previous reviews. If you know your size, buy that. Don't size up! I followed the advice of several reviewers who said they ran small, and now I will be returning these. Now for the shoe: as you can see in the video, it is big and chunky, yet lightweight. I like the look. The laces do not cinch as tightly as regular eyelets do. The heel seems a bit wide, but possibly that is to accommodate thick socks. Nice, roomy toe box, and typical Keen quality support -- i.e. great.

This is the second time I have purchased this shoe, because I wore the first so much! I finally had to retire the original after 3 years of heavy use. Such a great shoe! My favorite part about Keen shoes is the support and cushion of the insole. It feels like walking on a cloud. Another great feature of this shoe is that it requires very little (if any) "breaking in" time. I wear this shoe for hiking and everyday, so it takes a beating sometimes, but holds up so nicely. In my experience, all Keen shoes run true to size, and are consistent across styles. So, if you wear a 5 in another Keen shoe, you are guaranteed that the 5 in this shoe will fit. As far as waterproof goes, these shoes are fantastic. I have splashed through puddles, hiked in the rain, and crossed streams in this shoe. It is important to note that the shoe is not waterproof to submersion. I highly recommend this shoe!

I bought these shoes for hiking on rocky trails and they are just great. They are nice and stiff in the sole which is what I needed for my arthritic feet, so I will also use them on longer walks on regular surfaces. I have had many, many pairs of Keens - they are about the only shoe I buy anymore. Keens always fit me well - lots of room in the toe box and the arch hits just in the right spot for me. My only issue with Keens is that the soles seem to wear down pretty quickly for the price of the shoe. But. so far, the comfort is worth the price. I always buy Keens size larger than my measured size.

Excellent shoes! I have three pairs of Keen's Venice, love them! I also have a pair of the Voyageur, but I'll stick with the Targhee II from now on. The difference between the two seems to be a stiffer sole and more support in the Targhee II. I have a neuroma, and while stiffer seems counter intuitive, this is just what I needed.

I am a senior citizen and I wear these Keens about 90% of the time! Comfortable, fit well, put them on out of the box and go! I first discovered them about 5 years ago while I was visiting friends in Alaska. Never looked back!

These are great hiking shoes - very comfortable! I definitely recommend them. The only thing I would say is that I ordered a half size larger than I normally do after reading many of the comments, but wish that I had ordered my regular size. I find them true to size. They are a little too big for me now.

I have owned these hiking boots for about 8 years, I think, and it's finally time to replace them. I loved them so much and they lasted so long that I'm going with the same ones again. Even after all these years, they are still waterproof. I can step in a stream or hike in the rain and my feet stay dry. They are super comfortable and this is coming from someone with Sesamoiditis, Plantar Fasciitis and heel spurs. Last year one of the black treads started to loosen which besides my new puppy chewing them up recently, is the only reason I am replacing them. For me, these have been a great, durable shoe for an extended period of time. I did order an 8.5 and I normally wear a 7.5 or 8. I also need an 8.5 in Nike sneakers and I have tried on countless Merrells through the years that never seem to fit quite right. Hopefully that info helps someone with trying to order online.

I love this style! Wide toe box means that my toes are never squeezed after a 10 mile hike with lots of ups and downs. The excellent arch support is a godsend for my feet which have high arches.

I have had several pairs of this particular Keen model of walking shoes. LOVE THEM! As before, I bought a size 8 this time, to give me enough room for my toes going up and down hills. Turned out I really needed a size 7 1/2 this time...not sure why. Unfortunately, I had worn my just-received size 8's twice, so I could not return them. I gave them to a friend and purchased the 7 1/2 at the Keen Garage in Portland where I was when I realized the problem and needed the correct size immediately.

Love these hiking shoes! I bought 1/2 size larger and they fit perfectly! Lots of toe room. My toes don't get cramped going down hills. The heel is a little loose but if I wear thick socks it's fine. The sole is grippy on wet, leafy and icy paths here in Germany. I wore they for several full days right out of the box without any problems. I'm turning in my old hiking boots.

Love these for hiking and walking! This is my 3rd pair in past 10 years. I take out the inserts and put in my custom orthotics. Plenty of room in toe box. They could be narrower in heel to be better for me, but not bad.

I have narrow feet, but need wide shoes. This style is perfect! It feels as if I am walking on air. There is also plenty of room to lace them up tightly. They are real winners!

Just like every other pair of Keens I own, the fit is perfect and comfortable right out of the box! No break in period, no rubbing, just like I've already owned them for months.

This is the second pair I am buying. First ones were just brown. I love these shoes. Very light and comfortable. Size matches.

After reading reviews, I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear, they fit perfectly. I walk my dogs 2 1/2 miles daily at an off-leash dog park, from the very first day, these shoes have been very comfortable. And, truly water proof. I retrieved a dog ball from a stream and feet stayed completely dry! I love these shoes and highly recommend them.

I love these shoes - they are very comfortable. Keen shoes can be hit or miss with me. I usually need an 11 wide shoe, but these fit great and were comfortable from the get go.

Great shoes! Due to a last minute emergency, I had to buy new hiking boots 1 week before a trip to Everest Base Camp -- would have been a complete disaster hiking in brand new boots, but these are so comfortable, it already felt like they were broken in, right out of the box. These shoes saved my trip!

This is my fourth pair of Targhee ll. I love this shoe. It's the most comfortable shoe I own. A great winter shoe because it's waterproof. As long as they make them I will buy them.

I love these shoes. They keep my feet warm and dry. The heel slipped at first, but as the sole becomes more flexible, the slipping stopped. I also went up a half size so heavy socks were comfortable.

I love these shoes! I usually wear tennis shoes but my friend insisted I try these for as much hiking and walking that we do. She bought them for me a half size bigger and it fits perfect! I haven't stopped wearing them since she bought them for me! They are lightweight, easy to put on, and I tried getting them wet but they still stay dry! Great footwear and will for sure buy again. Very happy with my keens. I have bought them before and they last well and are comfortable and sturdy. I live out on a ranch and these boots/shoes work well there but I can wear them into town and they look like a nice pair of hiking boots. Keens seem to run a little wide and that's good for me. Great service. prompt and as promised. Zappos is terrific. Happy and grateful. No aggro just great shoes.
