These are my 3rd pair in 10 years! I wear them nearly everyday and put many miles per day on them. They are terrific. I only replaced my old pair because the soles had begun to wear and slick. They have never come apart, or have never broke down in any way. They are firm but not stiff. Great support. If you are looking for a low rise hiking boots, this will hold up to your miles!

these are well made, true to size hiking shoes for real hiking--fit comfortable but the outsole too stiff for a "city hiker with back issues! Otherwise, good product.

Fit was good, but shoes looked used. Sending back for another pair.

I wanted to reorder my favorite pair of Keene's that are almost 2 years old. This appear to be the same, but unfortunately they don't have a deep enough heel cup to fit my orthotics. I tried 1/2 size bigger, but my heel really slid out. My heel slipped also in my usual size. So, these aren't exactly like my prior pair, sadly. Had to return them.

Wide toe box - thank you!! Yes! I haven't extensively tested them, but after a test hike they seem like a winner. I needed good tread, wide toe box and just wanted a low ankle more casual hiking boot - check, check and check. Will definitely buy again.

Same size fits in this Keen as in my others. Really wanted a brown toned shoe this go-around, but not available in this shoe. This shoe is a perfect fit for me, so color "magnet" it is. How can such a tough looking shoe as a waterproof hiking shoe be so overall comfortable? I wanted to try these to fill need for very comfortable walking/traveling shoe to wear with jeans. They have filled the need. Immediately comfortable, no ifs, ands, or buts. I'll just go into lumberjack mode and wear my bold plaid flannel shirts and go as a mini forester when I travel. At least it is a "look." Comfort is the prime essential when traveling and these are extremely comfortable with good support, width to accommodate my Paul Bunions, and a 2" boost in my height to enhance my lumberjack image. These are waterproof and I assume every bit as much as my mid-ankle Keen boots, which means they are truly so.

Same shoe I have purchased for three iterations now... same excellent fit, same excellent service. As with any shoe, they do wear over time. that said, each time I order a replacement it is the same as the last one when new! That continuity is hard to come by nowadays.

Light weight yet sturdy shoe that needed no break in time. Ordered half size up, fit is perfect with socks. No issue with heel coming loose when walking, the laces are long enough to double knot. Good purchase!

Reviews are correct -- they run small. With socks I always order 1/2 size up. Reading the reviews I added another 1/2 size up. Very glad I did as they fit very well. They are comfortable, didn't need breaking-in, good arch support, roomy toe box and they don't make my feet look huge. I jumped brands because I love Keen hiking "Whisper" sandals and very glad I did.

These shoes fit me perfectly and are extremely comfortable. The only problem is that due to the climate I live in, (western Colorado), they are too hot in the summer. I need to have the vented shoes. That was my own mistake that I won't make again. Everything else about the shoes was excellent.

I ordered a 1/2 size up and they fit including wearing thick thorlo socks. I couldn't decide between the Targhee II WP or the Targhee EXP WP. If you have a wider foot then the Targhee II is better. It also has a slightly stiffer more supportive sole that the Targhee EXP WP. The Targhee EXP WP is more for a normal foot with a lighter foot sole. I am using mine for long hikes and thus selected the Targhee II WP and am very happy.

Theses are great for a waterproof hiking shoe. They are very sturdy but not too bulky looking and the style is very nice for a hiking shoe. I got a half size larger than my normal shoe size so that I can wear thick wool socks and the shoe fits perfectly. My foot is fairly wide and the medium width is just right so they might be too wide for someone with a narrow foot. The shoe has a roomy toe box with good protection for hiking in rocky terrain.

This shoe has the classic Keen fit. Wide toe box, good support, runs true to size. It is however a lot of shoe and looks bulky as many Keen do.

The Keen Targhee II fit well right out of the box. I work in a busy furniture warehouse and wore them immediately for a full work day, walking on concrete floors for a good 8 hours. Great support and very comfy! After a good break in at work for a week, I took these Keens on vacation to Portugal. I spent a good deal of time hiking on varried terrain on very steep mountain trails, easy but damp paths following the irrigation trails on Madeira, and on the polished mosaic streets of Lisbon. These shoes did not let me down. They were comfortable, protected my toes from bruises when I tripped over roots and rocks and were very grippy on the slippery sidewalks in town. A bit heavier in weight than my other Keens, but the solid sole and excellent grip made up for the weight. Highly recommended!

I think this would be a great waterproof shoe and hiking shoe but when its on it looks like a serious hiking shoe and I need this to do double duty - casual wear and hiking.

I love these shoes. I have achilles problems so can't wear hiking boots that go above the ankle. I had the pair before this with the green with leather. I hiked the heck out of those boots and needed a new pair, so I went back to the shoes that make my feet feel great. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered a 7.5 and a 7 (my normal size). Luckily the 7.5 fit because the box with the size 7 had a 7 and an 8! Haven't hiked in them but they're super comfy. 2 stars for style because...well...it's a hiking shoe.

I’ve had these for years but only use them for a few weeks each year. They’ve held up wonderfully. I just wore them for most of a 10 day national park vacation, and my feet also held up tremendously-despite a tendency towards planter fasciitis and heel pain. I wish I could wear these to work!

I usually take a size 8, and I think if I had gone up a half size, the shoes would be flopping around my feet - however, I nicked one star on comfort, because the toe box does feel a little more "bunched" than my previous Keen hikers - it is okay, and better than some Merrell's I had also tried, but it is not quite the fit you may have come to expect from Keen. The heel base is impressive and overall walking comfort is good. I wore these on a wet, muddy trail with some ups and downs, and the treads gripped well. There's the standard level of Keen arch support, but if you prefer more support (I do) there is room for a swapped in foot bed. My biggest (relatively small) complaint is probably that the laces are oddly slippery, and would become untied pretty quickly without double-knotting.

I LOVE Keen shoes, but for these Targhee II, Zappos keeps sending me BLACK shoes. I called the WHSE & they will make good on it. As a side-note, if you get HEEL SLIPPAGE in Keen's or New Balance or any kind of running shoe, DO go on You Tube for 'heel slippage' to see videos on how to resolve heel slippage by configuring the laces differently.

This is a great shoe and in the end for me it came down to a choice between the Targhee or the Voyageur. I went with the Voyageur just because it was a little bit lighter and more flexible right out of the box, and that was what I needed at the time, but I'm still coveting a new pair of Targhees. This is a classic Keen, cut nice and wide with a roomy toe box and deep cushioning in the sole. These would make excellent day-hikers and provide good support. As always, I ordered a half-size up for Keens and they fit perfectly.
