I am a longtime Birkenstock customer but this was my first time buying this style. I am very happy with them -- they are more stylish than I expected and a great work shoe if you're on your feet all day.

I needed a closed back shoe for comfort. This shoe fit the bill perfectly! Very happy with fit, quality, and appearance.

Initially I was a little worried about how tight there were as my feet have flattened out over the years and I have an dropped arch in my left foot. It took a few wears but they stretched out to perfection and the arch support has done amazing things for my foot. Brought the inflammation down and reduced the pain I have in my second toe due to arthritis. Love love love them!

I wear a standard-width 39 in in multiple styles of Birkenstocks. These were very narrow (and I don't think I chose "narrow" I think the only choice was "standard") and the arch support felt like it was WAAAy to far forward. They run very small. I might try to re-order in a size 40 to see if that makes a difference.

These would have been perfect except that the heels were way too loose, nothing I could fix with thicker socks. I need the wide toe box because of foot problems, and the narrow width in the London fit beautifully except I couldn't keep the shoes on because the heels were so wide. My feet slipped around at the heel even with the buckles as tight as they would go. Nothing against Birkenstock....I always have this issue with any brand of shoes. Tightly-laced sneakers seem to be my only option, and luckily Zappos always supplies me with my favorite New Balance 928's. Sadly, my foray into Birkenstock world is a bust.

The size was to big in both length and width. I ordered my normal size 37 narrow, felt like I was wearing boats on my feet. I may have been able to go a size down but didn’t try due they’d probably still be to wide. I own 5 pairs of birks, figured these would simply be added to my growing collection. Sadly I had to return these. Really wanted them for my fall, winter shoes.

my husband has now worn the soles out on these! LOL he loves them sooo much.. sad that the amount of walking he does at work is too much for them to handle..but he doesn't care wants another pair! for a big guy (6'5" 290lbs...its hard to find truly comfy and supportive shoes..ill buy him a new one every year if he wants!

Wow these were much to wide for my foot. I ordered the narrow and there was nothing narrow about these. Not even a heavy sock could do the trick, so back they go. I have plenty of Birks in narrow and they fit me beautifully with a little extra room.

Good and predictable

Width doesn't seem to apply to people with high insteps. I hoped that the startup on this shoe would give me instep room. It doesn't. I can't understand why shoe manufacturers don't allow for sizing that addresses instep height. This show looks great for my use, but I can barely get my toes into the opening.

This is my second pair of London's. I loved my first pair (used for work) which I bought a few years ago. My second pair feel a little small and are very uncomfortable. I love Birkenstock's but I am very disappointed with this pair. Will most likely need to return.

Ordered my usual size (38 or 7-7 1/2) in narrow width because that’s what I wear in the Boston...and it was too loose. Sent it back for a size smaller (37 or 6-6 1/2...narrow again) because that’s what I have in the toe-loop Birkenstock sandal and that was a much better fit.

When it comes to practical, comfortable and well-made shoes, over the years since the Sixties I've always had a pair of Birkenstocks at hand. This is my first pair of Londons and I can already predict they will become my "go to" shoes for daily wear. Happy to have them!

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for 35 + years and I normally wear a size 38 normal in Birkenstock. sandals , but had to size up in the London style. They did feel terribly tight in the beginning but I've been wearing them every day around the house for 30 minutes or so and slowly they're getting softer and softer. Just about ready to wear at work 10 plus hours a day.

I used to only wear birks for years. Why did I ever stop and switch? No other type of shoe gives me the width I need, and I was sqeezing my toes for years into "medium width" expensive shoes because I thought they were better for my feet. I wear a 38 regular width in birkenstocks, or an 8 in us sizing. I tried a pair of 39's and they were too large. Birks need time to break in, I get rubbing marks for the first week, but they will soften and become your favorites.

I have several pairs of Birks (Arizona, Madrid, Boston) and wear the same size in those. The Londons fit ok in my normal size (36N) but my second and third toe do touch the end of the shoe a bit when I walk. Next size up is too big. I probably should have got a regular width in these but I'm hoping once I break them in, they will fit perfectly.

It was too roomy in the toe area and I have wide feet. The shoe itself was a little big overall.

I’ve had to return them twice now because the size I received both times were to big. However the look, style and feel of the shoe is great. Very well made. I’m determined to get the right size the third and final time I buy them (yes I own other burks sandals but they always felt just a tad small so I ordered up this time but shouldn’t have).

I was really excited to receive my new Taupe London Birks but when I tried them on, although they were the narrow width they seemed wider than my other pair. I also wanted the color to be darker. I didn’t love the shoe so I will returned.

Love these! I’m a recent Birkenstock convert. I prefer the original footbed and have a slightly narrow foot. I need the narrow with in most Birks. I wear 36 in the Arizona, Milano, and Boston. I wanted the London to wear in colder and wet weather. I read reviews on a bunch of sites and most people recommended sizing up just a bit. I ordered these in a 37 and the length is perfect. Unlike the sandals and the Boston, this footbed does not have the toe bar. But true to Birkenstock quality the arch support is amazing, top notch leather, and the Habana color is beautiful.

I have been a Birkenstock Girl for over 35yrs! I work 10hr shifts at our local hospital. Burks are the only shoe for me. Matter of fact more and more fellow employees are going to Birkenstocks! They are great for our backs, knees and feet! Zappos, you have always been my shoe source! Thanks again for great service.

I love these shoes! I bought them to wear to work; I’m in healthcare and work shifts that require me to stand on my feet for 12 hours. They are not slip resistant, but the arch support and general feel is excellent.

My 4th pair of Birkenstock’s so I am a huge fan of the comfort, support and feel of the brand. This pair of London shoes are the ones that have given me the most difficulty breaking in. I wear a US 13 wide. Never have had an issue with my Birk sandals or slip on clogs, however these have taken a lot of work and time to break in. The original footbed took a week or so but the leather uppers have taken much much longer. After several weeks of short wear times and overnights with a shoe stretcher they are finally wearable. I’m sure they will finish breaking in nicely and over time will be what I had hoped for. Just more difficult than I expected.

i have two older londons. this pair however has been updated for the worse. 1. the strap over the ankle is so short that its a full two notches too small to even buckle. i cant buckle around my ankle on the largest setting and i have very skinny ankles etc. its not even close. 2. the foot opening has been moved back on this version which results in someone having to unbuckle the shoe entirely to put on or off. 3. no toe bar in the footbed for some reason. bostons still seem to have the toe bar. 4. never noticed but its made in portugal. the quality still seems high. overall i couldnt even get my foot into the shoe without difficulty, the strap is min 2 buckle notches too short to even buckle on the largest setting. literally no way to buckle without punches new holes unstraped the shoe is true to length and width im confused how this isnt an issue for other buyers. my two older pair both had extra length on the strap, both had toe bars and both could be put on without unstrapping....
