Hiking Bliss -
I'm a Keens fan and bought these boots for a trip that would include a LOT of hiking. They were perfect! I was happy in them on the very first day, and regretted taking them off at night. Each day, I'd say to my husband (about 100 times), "I love my new hiking boots!" And I do.

Tough and Flexible -
My feet are a little narrow so I have a hard time finding hiking boots. These are just right (although ordering a half size up advice is definitely correct. I went from 8.5 to 9).
The shoes have some arch support that I wasn't too sure about at first, but it turned out to be great.
They are really comfortable and flexible, but provide the amount of ankle support of a stiffer shoe.
My one complaint is that they aren't too breathable. The leather exterior is great for fit and toughness, but as the weather warms they are a little hot.

Platinum goes green!
Simply the best, most comfortable hiking boots I've ever worn. Keen has done it again- with their environmentally conscious approach and emphasis on durability and comfort, they've created the perfect hiking boot. DO buy a half to full size larger than usual, as the sizing is small.

Great comfort -
These hiking boots are fantastic for the money. I would advise ordering them a full size larger than you normally would wear. They run quite short. Once you get the right size, they are outstanding comfort.

Great boot!
I have very narrow feet and this boot fit me very comfortably. The arch support is great, the boot keeps my feet warm and dry. It was tested biking in Chicago sleet. Feet stayed dry. I'd spend the money for the quality of this boot again in a second!

What a find!
Recently I went on a vacation to the Washington Coast. These waterproof boots were perfect for all my beach walks and lighthouse-hunting hikes. Not only are they super cute (I bought the neutral walnut color), but they are also extremely comfortable. Forget your old-school stiff leather hiking boots...these rock!
P.S. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 and the 8 was a perfect fit.

Good shoe -
Overall I really like this shoe. I bought it to go hiking and camping - haven't done either of those yet, so I'm not sure how it will go, but it's done the job around town. I'm normally an 8, but after reading some reviews, I ordered an 8 1/2. They still feel a little small, but I'm hoping they'll loosen up a bit as I wear them more. The shoelaces are very short and too thick for the eyelets at the top of the shoe. If you leave them out of the hooks though, the shoe rubs at the back and your heels slip around. Will need to get new laces before I do any serious hiking.

Feels like it was custom-made -
This shoe is best for someone with a heel a half- or full width narrower than her forefoot (e.g. an A heel on a B forefoot). Like me! It is not a particularly lightweight shoe -- might be a bit heavy for hot summer weather -- but provides excellent support for long hikes or walks. It is well made and a good value.

These shoes rock!
I read all the reviews before purchasing this shoe. The looks drew my attention - but the wear is perfect. They feel as good as my Birkenstocks. Perhaps better because they feel safe in hard Chicago winter weather.
I got a half size larger and yes...the shoe strings are a little short.

Everything and more...
I bought these for an upcoming Colorado hiking trip. I usually wear 7 1/2 to 8, but bought 8 1/2 due to the other comments - fits perfectly. I have a high arch and these molded right to my foot. Wore them the first day I got them and LOVED them - light, supportive, and stylish all in one! I will definitely buy Keen's again. Thanks Zappos!

Not totally sold -
I love the look of these shoes and had tried them on in a local shoe store before having my husband purchase them as a Christmas present for me. However, I can't wear them long without the inside part of the shoe cutting into my foot right below the ankles and extending around to the back of the foot above the heel area. It can be painful and prevents me from fully tying the shoe. So, needless to say, I haven't gotten much of any wear out of them since the holidays, which is disappointing to say the least given how great I initially thought they were. I was hoping to wear them hiking but I don't see that as a possibility. Meanwhile, I'm not looking forward to telling my poor husband this news...

Lov'n the Keens!
This is my 3rd pair of Keens. I've got the prowlers, Targhees, and a set of the sandals. I've gone from river tromping to climbing Whitney and have never enjoyed a pair of shoes like my Keens. As comfortable today as the day I pulled them out of the box. The only issue I would have is the sizing. Just go for a size to a size and a half larger than you normal shoe and your golden. Once you have Keen, you never go back!

Great for wide feet -
These boots are great for wide feet. Out of the box they have been comfortable and work well with my bunions on inside and outside of my feet. If you are a "D" width I recommend these...also work well with orthodics. Order 1/2 size larger you'll be happy.

Great boot -
These definitely run small. I usually wear a 6.5-7.5 depending on the brand and the thickness of my socks. In this shoe I had to get an 8. But once I got the right size--soo comfortable. I will get longer laces though, as another reviewer suggested, the laces are pretty short.

Trek around -
Bought these and found that I needed a full size larger than my normal shoe size (1/2 size larger than Keen size). I wear them with medium weight socks. They were fantastic right out of the box. Put them on and was able to walk without any rubbing, chaffing, discomfort. Love the way they look, good grasping soles for traction, great lacing system, padded tongue and collar, little grip in back to help pull them on. These are worth a lot more than what they cost - I love them!

Manufacturing Defects Galore -
I am very sad. I purchased this boot for my wife for Christmas, but after 4 attempts to obtain a pair without manufacturing defects, we both gave up. She loved the look and with each order, one boot was fine. The boot without defects was very comfortable, but with each of the 4 orders, the 2nd boot had a serious defect - either the padding at the ankle was knotted (x2) or the footbed had a large lump in the heel (x2). We both love the other Keens we have and I purchased these in particular because the Keen footbed fits the shape of her foot very well. We are both terribly disappointed.

Definitely go up a half a size.
I read prior reviews and figured that since I'm either an 8 1/2 or a 9, I should buy the 9. The 9 was still too small! I've never bought a 9 1/2 ever, but found that I had to with this shoe. Aside from the fact that the laces that came with these boots were way too short, I am very pleased with this hiking boot. It cost me about four bucks to get longer laces -- 54" laces seem to be best for this boot if you are looking to buy them.

Fits narrow feet, too!
I wear a 9 AAAA. Let’s just say it's hard to find a pair of shoes that fit. Keens were recommended to me by a salesperson. Looking at them, I thought, "No way!" They look wide in the toe, almost like a clown shoe, but after sliding my foot into them, I was sold! The Targhee Mid II is an excellent boot for my foot and needs. I wear them in all types of weather for two walks a day with my dog. Not only is the footbed comfortable and supportive (feels like a dream), they keep my feet warm and dry and they have great traction. They also weigh very little which adds to their comfort. There is nothing uncomfortable about these Keens!

Great boots!
My feet are a little wide, and these shoes were both roomy and comfy. I do recommend buying a half size larger. I didn't have to break the shoes in; they were great dealing with the snow and rain which I encountered on a recent trip. They are super cute as well.

I love this shoe!
I have plantar fasciitis, so I've been searching for a shoe that is supportive and not too ugly that I can wear both on my power walks in the snowy, wet Chicago weather, and as every day casual shoes. These fit the bill perfectly!

Very comfortable hiking boot. I originally ordered a 9 1/2, the size I normally wear, but they were too snug. I returned them for a 10, which fits great. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, but they did rub a little at the ankle at first wear. I would highly recommend these Keens.

Comfy hiking boot -
The ankle support does not hurt my ankle like a lot of hiking boots. Was immediately comfortable - wore on a 4 mile hike and then around the house in the afternoon. Waded through some low stream and seemed to keep the water out of my socks. Wear a 9 1/2 regular shoe but needed a 10 1/2 in this boot.

Love this boot -
I ordered the correct size because the reviews said they run a half size small. They definitely do. Hesitated to buy a brand that I had never heard of, but the people at the local outdoor shop assured me that this is an excellent brand - they just spend their money making shoes, not on advertising.

What a great shoe -
I read the reviews and decided to try Keen and boy am I glad I did. First, order the half size larger...you won't be sorry... Originally I was a little iffy on the price but now I can tell you these are so worth it... I've worn orthotics since 1st grade and these are the first pair of shoes I haven't needed them in... No break in time incredibly comfortable and incredibly great support... Whether you hike a mountain... or like me hike the streets of New York this shoe is worth it! I'll be back for more Keen!
