Very comfortable out of the box. Boot runs small. Based on other reviews, I ordered a half size bigger which was perfect.

I bought these for a trip to Iceland, in those long-ago days when it was safe to travel. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

Love Keens! I have the lower cut hikers, but needed something for the winter. These work well and feel as comfortable as the low cut hikers.

These have been my favorite hiking boots for over a year now! They are very comfortable even hiking in the woods all day!

These are my favorite hiking shoes, I'm buying my second pair. They held up great but my feet seem to have grown as I've gotten older and I'm needing to go a size up on all my shoes.

I love these boots...I use them to do weed whacking on sloping ground. The tread has excellent grip and the toe box is nice and wide. I wear them for hours working and they still stay comfortable and my feet always remain dry in wet situations!

I have had this same hiking boot for about 12 years. They are still in amazing shape. I love them so much that when I was shopping for a pair for my boyfriend and saw the same style as my old ones I wanted to get them right away. My old pair was an 8 so that is what I ordered. They seemed a little bigger that the other pair so I returned them for a 7-1/2. They fit great. It’s so easy to exchange shoes through Zappos. I love Keens and so happy to have found another pair.

I have been a true blue KEEN customer for years and years...however, lately their product is failing...these particular boots lasted 2 years...then completely split apart on the sides...now they leak of course and the "waterproof" brand is worthless, not to mention my foot hanging out..need to change brands I guess, as the sandals I once loved are now really inferior quality as well...sad to see Keens drop in quality.

Great, right out of the box!

I have been wearing Keen brand hiking shoes and boots for many years now. I ordered these b/c of the great price, but when I put them on, they are very narrow in comparison to all my others, including the identical boots I am now wearing. I put them side by side, and they are noticeably narrower than my older pair. What gives Keen?????? Is this why they are on sale?? I will have to start searching out different brands now that are actually labeled as "wide". Good grief.

Great looking boot! I normally wear an 8 these days, but I ordered up to a 9 because I know Keens run quite small. However, I should have ordered an 8 1/2. They were a bit too big. Sent them back. Think I’ll go back to my favorite Keen Durand. The toe box is nice and wide. It’s a great cold weather boot.

I am going to stick with these because the pair I bought 5 years ago were perfect. Somehow this pair is not quite as comfortable. Keens do not disappoint and my last pair supported me through training and climbing Mt. Katahdin. So, fingers crossed.

I love Keens but the tongue on this shoe was a bit too stiff.

I ordered half a size up (I’m normally a 10, but ordered a 10.5). Fits great, has enough space for thick socks if needed. Haven’t had the chance to test out waterproofing, but wore them for an hour walking around indoors and outdoors (casually strolling the city streets). It’s cold right now, low 30s and no issues so far, warm feet. I have sweaty feet naturally so these do make them sweat a bit more. Width of shoe feels great for normal or slightly wide feet like mine. Plenty of space in toe box. Great arch support! Definitely recommend to others!!!

The toe box is great, but unfortunately, the heel does not grip me well enough. (I have this issue with many brands, so it's not a bad reflection of Keen.) Because of this, I need to keep looking. Thank you Zappos for your great return policy!

These DO NOT fit like my OLD Keen Targhee's. Other long time Keen wearers have written about this before: KEEN has changed certain shoes & boots that those of us with Wide Toes MISS!! The shape of the toe on the Targhee's has changed: it is more tapered vs "bulbous". I went up a 1/2 size: BUT then my heel DOES not stay snug in heel pocket!! My feet: Wide toes, narrow heels, and sort of bony feet with High Arch and a high instep. I tried everything to make them work (many insoles; different socks; 2 types of Heel Cups). Sadly these are going back!!!

These are a great-looking hiking boot. Very well constructed, and I really wish they would have fit more comfortably! It may be the length (or lack of LOL) of my legs, but the top of the boot hit at an uncomfortable place on my ankles. It was better with a tall hiking sock that prevented the friction but I could see it being very annoying/uncomfortable after a long hike. I am very reluctantly returning these because I really love everything about them!

Love these boots. This is my second pair and they are terrific. No problem hiking anywhere, comfortable, waterproof, great support.

I love these hiking boots! Keen has always fit my narrow foot well. Hiked the Pyrenees shortly after purchasing and no blisters or sore spots breaking them in. Very happy with them.

The boots are very nice but I highly suggest purchasing inserts/orthotics to replace the very thin and cheap inserts that come with the boot. Other than that, they are great! Very comfortable, don’t rub, and have great traction.
