The Perfect Sandals - These sandals are fantastic. They are so comfortable that sometimes I forget I'm wearing shoes at all. I highly recommend these Chacos to anyone who is interested. I prefer the toe strap; however, that is a personal preference. I did have the luxury of trying these on at an outdoor store before ordering them from Zappos.com. If I had not had this luxury, I might have ordered a size too big. I wear a size 12 in most shoes, but I wear a size 11 in Chaco. Don't hesitate to purchase these Z/2s today! Additionally, I received my Chacos from Zappos.com in less that 24 hours from the time that I ordered them. I am extremely satisfied with the level of service provided by Zappos.com.

These shoes are great for walking around all day. I have some Chacos myself, and had to get some for my husband too! If only they made these in extra wide.

Rock my world - I have had a pair of Z/1 for 4 years and I wanted to try this new flavor, somewhat scared by the toe loop. Have worn no other shoe for the past month and I can say that they rock like my old pair. It takes a few days to get used to the toe thingy, but past that, they're awesome. If you're shopping for sandals, I warmly recommend them. Great support, durable (I still use my old pair!) and stylish. Sigh, I wish it was summer the whole year. I should move to California.

Perfect footwear: cool, stable, comfortable... perfect - These sandals rock, I never want to take them off. They are so comfortable, they feel like an extension of my foot. They're a bit heavy and clunky, but I think that's a fine trade off for durability. Also, they seem to be wider than advertised. I normally wear an E, but the D fits. I had to return another similar Chaco E width sandal because it was too wide.

Perfect for traveling - Bought these for backpacking through Southeast Asia and they were perfect. Ideal for wet weather, sturdy enough for hiking, but light and easy to wear poolside also. The perfect shoe for a trip.

I have had Tevas for years, but the foot doctor recommended Chaco for better support. The wide width is still not quite wide enough, but it works. The main problem I have had is that the straps get tighter as I walk. It has become less noticeable as they have broken in more. I did not see any other reviews that mentioned this when I was shopping, so I don't know if it is a common problem. I also figured out that you can lay the toe part down flat by pulling the strap through all the way. This gives you the Z/1 sandal as well as the Z/2. This seemed to help the problem as well and gave my toe a break. I like how firmly the foot is held in these compared to my previous brand, and the toe strap is the key to it. It does take some getting used to. I plan to have these for many years to come as they seem to be very well made.

Favorite shoes ever - I just bought a pair to replace my first pair, which I wore whenever possible for 5 years before they wore out (I neglected getting them resoled before the foot bed got worn). They are extremely comfortable, great for walking/hiking, easily washed and ridiculously durable. The strap does hang too far off of the buckle, but I just trimmed it and used a lighter to fuse the end to prevent fraying, and had no problems for 5 years. Highly, highly recommend.

Very comfortable, highly recommended. True to fit and extremely comfortable. I bought these for my son, and he hardly takes them off. Stylish and good looking.

Comfortable and durable - After trying many brands of strap sandals, I have found Chaco to be the best. Comfortable straps and unbeatable arch support. I have had my pair for 4 years. They have survived extensive outdoor use every year, from climbing to hiking to canoeing along with simple daily activities. Well worth the price! Also, they can be re-soled and re-strapped.

Best Sandals - I usually wear a 10&1/2, so I went with an 11 and it fit very well (not compact, mind you, just comfortable). Trying to configure the straps was very frustrating and it was hard to find a comfortable configuration, so I just wore them and they configured themselves wonderfully. At the end of the first day, your foot will hurt as it is adjusting to the arch of the shoe, but after that, they feel great.

Excellent Sandals - Definitely the most comfortable and secure-fitting sandals I've ever owned. Performance is very similar to a regular shoe. The only thing that I wish I had paid closer attention to when I bought mine is the size. I normally wear a 9 in most everything, but these seemed to be sized much larger so I went with an 8. Now after wearing them for a year, I feel like I could probably even wear a 7 without them being too small. I do like a trim, compact fit though. Just make sure you buy the right size so that the heel cup and arch support properly fits. When sized and adjusted correctly, these are as good as they come.

I love my Chacos - I love to have open toed shoes... and I like performance from a shoe. I found both of these aspects in these sandals. I wear mine every single day! They are the most comfortable shoes i have ever had. I wear them in cold weather even! They are great for camping, river activities (kayaking is what i do mostly) and they are excellent. I strongly recommend Chacos to anyone who wants performance and comfort in a sandal. THERE IS NO BETTER!!!

The best sandal you can buy - $90, is it worth it? For a pair of sandals? Overwhelmingly, YES. I hiked in Bolivia, the AT, parts of Central America, and it took me 2 years to wear these things out. They are the most comfortable, high-performance, durable, and stylish sandal you can get on the market today. But the toe, the TOE...You get used to the toe loop in a matter of minutes, no big deal. I highly recommend these sandals...worth every penny.

Outstanding Sandal - Perhaps the best sandals ever made. I am currently on my third pair. I disagree with a previous reviewer though. Resoling is not a great choice; mine delaminated at a very unfortunate time.

Sandals for athlete’s foot sufferer - I am prone to suffer from Athlete’s foot and the Chaco's Z/2 sandal is the best. It exposes your feengers to the air as well you have good control, you can drive, you can clime the stairs, you can work, you can go shopping etc. I use them all day long.

Great Chacos! I'm a big believer in Chaco sandals. They are amazingly comfortable, mostly due to the fact that the straps can be adjusted to specifically fit your foot. The soles are also better than most athletic shoes I've owned so I wear my Chacos for anything and everything. They're great for rocks, anything around water, and anything else you can think of. Push them to the limits and they'll stay strong.

Yeah, it's pricey, but worth it - The straps are adjustable, fits solidly on the foot. Cons beside the price: the curved up foot bed can be irritating if the sandal is fitted loosely at the heel and it is not as easy to slip on as an open toe style would be. A 1000 times better and more comfy than the last pair of Tevas I had the misfortune to buy.

Best sandal ever - I have tried multiple support sandals. These are the best. Good for all day wear and they grip your feet for running, hiking or working in the yard. The new model is slightly lighter and less aggressive tread than the older model. You will not be disappointed. I like my sandals snug to my foot an exact fit, so I always buy 1/2 size smaller.

Contour feels very comfortable, and there is plenty of padding. The size that I ordered felt a little large. I wasn't able to adjust the strap to support my heel without tightening everything down too hard on the top of my foot. My foot tended to rest in the back area, and the arch extended beyond my natural arch in the front. You may keep that in mind.
