I am a woman but purchased the men's sandals for the width. Overall they feel good. I wish I could tighten the straps just a tad more. Right now there is a slight flopping factor, but all in all a very good and supportive sandal. A good option for the wide-foot gal.

I was a little hesitant to wear shoes with the toe-loop. I remember being a kid and anything between my toes would drive me crazy. My right toe was bothered for about a week, but I think the loop strengthened it, because I don't even notice any more. Of course, they're Chacos, so they're comfortable and stable and don't get stinky. I work on my feet all day, so my test is whether or not my shoes disappear under me. These do.

These shoes run big. The soles are huge and chunky. Having said that they\'re also incredibly adjustable for a perfect fit... well other than the sole. I ordered an 8 and wish I\'d ordered a 7... but alas Zappos is out of that size now. I\'d say order a size smaller than you usually wear.

Got these because of the desire for more support in a sandal, but really didn't like how heavy and clunky they felt. Ended up returning them and will go back to hunting for a sandal that is supportive and still comfortable.

These sandals were so heavy. They were clunky to wear. The neat part - you could pull the straps through the sole to make toe, instep, etc. tighter or looser as needed. I sent them back.

The straps go around the large toe that is somewhat uncomfortable after wearing for awhile.

Had sandal for 3 weeks and the heel webbing frayed. Chaco did not honor warranty, said it had to be my fault. Not as rugged as they advertise.

I read many great reviews about Chaco sandals here, and not being sure what style I'd like I purchased them last year at a retail store that specializes in the great outdoors. I hate these sandals! They are impossible to adjust. After a few months I went back to the store, and they said they just needed to be worn and broken in. I've tried soaking them in fabric softener (a hint picked up online), and last week at the same store it was suggested I try soaking them in a Simple Green solution, which the Chaco rep recommended. I have tried this, but I have not worn them sufficiently for dirt or grime to be a problem, and the soaking did nothing to improve the adjusting of the straps. Maybe I just have a bad pair, but when I was at this store another time I heard another woman complaining about them too, so there must be others. I do not recommend these under any circumstances.

These shoes are not great for wider feet. They gave me blisters after an hour on the sides of my heels. I am not sure if I will wear them again.

Not the right sandal for people with really thick feet at the arch. My husband is a Big Man (about 300 pounds and size 16 feet). His feet are long, wide and deep with fallen arches. We heard so much positive review about this sandal, so we gave it a try. It was a struggle to get the sandal on (his feet are so thick at the arch!) and the straps are a set length. Same problem with the Chaco Z/1 Unaweep. He was frustrated and returned them and ordered the Teva Terra Fi 3 instead.

Bought these as a gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves the design and fit. Excellent for any water sports or activities. My personal go to shoes for everyday wear, canoeing & actually almost all outdoor recreational activities. Amazing arch support & easy to wash. I have four designs of Chacos myself that I wear spring through fall. Two of those pairs are over 7 years old still in great condition. I can't say enough great things about Chacos. I would suggest allowing your legs and feet to acclimate to the heavier weight of the Chacos sole by breaking them in around the house or on short walks and making sure your straps are adjusted to your feet prior to long wear. Not ideal for packing in for weekend hikes due to the weight unless you plan to wear most of your trek. Seriously, order a pair you will love them.

I was trepidations about getting a pair of the unconventional Chaco sandals. The first time I tried these on, they felt surprisingly painful! Fortunately, Chacos are incredibly customizable, and with a few tugs on the different sections of the strap, they soon felt comfortable. A problem I've had with other sandals is way too much slack on the rear loop, something the Chacos gave me the power to fix. I wore them the whole day at work without trouble. Make sure to give the toe strap (if any) a bit of wiggle room, or it will feel straining to lift your toes, drive a car, etc. The high arch can feel weird at first, but it takes almost no time at all to get used to.

Love love love these sandals - my third pair. So comfy. I wear them constantly, for years at a time. Zappos customer service is unparalleled. UPS said they delivered my package, but either they delivered to the wrong address or, god forbid, someone swiped it off our porch. When I called Zappos, they immediately sent out another pair, which arrived safely. Zappos, you are awesome!

I have a wide foot, and the women's Chaco options weren't fitting so I went with the men's. They're comfortable, stylish (in an athletic, outdoorsy way), and have great arch support. If you have back issues like me, these sandals are an excellent choice. I plan on purchasing another pair.

These are the most comfortable and supportive sandals I have ever owned. They last for ever. Very good value.

I tried on women's Chacos in the past but they just didn't fit my foot. Then I learned that the men's are 1.5 sizes different from the women's, so a Men 9 is a Women 10.5 which is my size fit my wide midfoot perfect. Took a bit of break-in time to be super comfy, but they are great now!

These are awesome and well worth the cost. I bought these to replace a pair of the same sandals I bought 4 years ago...these are long-lasting, durable sandals.

I own two pairs of these sandals. I cannot recommend them too highly. I need to wear orthotics, which has always meant that I couldn't be in sandals during the summer. The bed of these sandals acts just like an orthotic, though, which has utterly liberated me. It's an absolutely wonderful product.

This is my fourth pair of Chacos, and I expect them to last an easy 10 years. Zappos was excellent in handling the purchase and the free shipping. I have zero complaints, only kudos!

Quite simply, if you are a fan of an active wear sandal the Chaco Z/2 Unaweep is unrivaled. They don't make anything better than this. I love this shoe, and Zappos is the best retailer to buy from. Sorry but it's true. Easiest return process ever, great customer service, and you get exactly what you want. Do yourself a favor (more importantly your feet) and get the dang sandals (with the toe loop!).

Excellent all-around sandals for any adventure that lies ahead! I normally wear a size 10 in most shoes but a size 9 fits perfectly in two pairs of these Chacos I've purchased thus far.

Ordered these for my husband. He has one foot that is an 11 and the other is a 12. The size 12 fit and he wore them on vacation immediately without needing to break them in. He needs a shoe with good support. Has another pair just like it and loves them.

Can't go wrong with Chaco sandals. Comfy, rugged and tough, I'm sure I'll be wearing these for years to come. The hard part is choosing between these and their flip flops!

Great sandals. Perfect for most occasions. I use them almost everyday. Great for light hiking, camping, etc.
