I am sad to report that I had to return these shoes. The right foot loved them - but the left foot, not so much. Everyone told me they would break in after a few wears. Actually what happened was I ended up at the podiatrist. They might be great for popping on and off at the airport or for people that are not on their feet for 8-10 hours a day. I did love how they looked on. The kitchen guys were all like "damn girl!" as they checked out my new shoes. Back to the old comfortable shoes for me. Thank you, Zappos, for making the return an easy process!

I normally wear I size 10.5. I tried the size 44, then returned them and got the 45. I'm not impressed with these shoes. I'm on my feet all day and I had hoped that they would help with knee and back pain, but they actually hurt my feet a bit. I tried to break them in, wearing them a an hour or two a day at work, but after a few weeks of trying, I gave up. I wish I could return them but I wore them a bit too much I think. I think I should have gotten the wide width shoes but as I don't normally wear wide, I didn't think of it. My advice to you, if you want to try these out, definitely buy them at Zappos because Zappos is awesome, but...find a local retailer that carries them and go try them on, find the right size, and make sure they don't hurt. These are not at all like normal shoes, and they aren't miracle shoes either, lol.

Although I love my previous pair of Dansko shoes - this pair was not wide enough. I wear size 11W and even with nylons my toes were squished! I had to return.

I bought these since so many reviews had said how comfortable they were and how they just felt wonderful on the feet, but, sad to say, I found them really uncomfortable. I had no idea just how hard the leather would be. There is no forgiveness in it at all, and I found them, therefore, incredibly uncomfortable on the top on my feet, even with a wider fitting. I couldn't have worn these for an entire day, I'm afraid.

These did not live up to the hype. I have had these shoes for a year and they barely held together. The leather toe ripped within a few weeks and the "non slip soles" have had me fall on the floors several times. I would not recommend these for low arched people like myself. They made my back worse, overall.

These are uncomfortable! They are like walking around with cement shoes and kill my feet to be walking around for more than 15 minutes.

My feet never hurt me so much as when I wore these heavy, monstrosity of shoes. They are ugly too!

The shoes are comfortable but started to wear the very first day. The seams that circle the foot on top began to come apart. I decided not to return the shoes because they are comfortable for someone who stands all day. I would buy Dansko again, but will try another style.

Love the shoe...most comfortable work shoe ever, arch support fabulous! I really hate, to hate on this shoe! However, to say that the traction on the sole of this shoe is bad is an understatement! I noticed some slipping on slushy pavement, or even on wet floors, so I knew that I needed to be careful in winter conditions, but I slipped in our alley and shattered my knee cap over the winter while wearing these shoes. I do realize that I live in Wisconsin and winter happens; however, I would not have slipped with boots or my tennis shoes on. The sole of this shoe simply does not have any traction! I feel that I need to write this, because I saw someone in a shoe store having their elderly mother try this shoe on and I could not in good faith let her buy it without telling her about the lack of traction control! I am not blaming this pair of shoes for the $48,000+ medical ordeal I am going through; however, I think that anyone who is buying this shoe should be forewarned.

Review for size 45W - Alas, these made-in-China Danskos are being returned yet again. Quality control and cheapened materials have become a huge problem. These shoes aren't as well made, have a different footbed (ie no arch support), smell like strong glue and other chemical odor, and simply aren't as comfortable as prior same style Danskos for my orthopedic surgeon husband (he was going to wear these in the office, not in surgery).

I was thrilled to see this shoe offered in a narrow width. Alas, the shoe box fit well, however, the heel did not touch any part of my heel. Sloppy clog-like fit. I'm trying a Clarks product, in hopes of a tighter fit.

I am not so sure if this is what anyone wants to hear but I bought the wrong shoe for my foot. I have high arches, and even though I took them to a shoe place to stretch them, they fit fine everywhere except where in the middle of the shoe where the my foot is thickest. It was not the wrong size though, that is fine, just not designed for people with high arches. End effect, I had to make a slit with a knife on both shoes to make them comfortable. They are damn comfortable now, but family had a good laugh at my ordering expensive shoes online that I had to cut.

These are great for standing all day, but not for a fast paced kitchen, where hustle is a daily activity. I have badly rolled my ankle a couple of times, and they just aren't meant for moving quickly from front to back of house.

I was really disappointed with this shoe. First of all, the top part of the shoe felt as if it was angled down and was pressing into the top of my foot in a really uncomfortable way. Also, for being a sort of "comfort" shoe, this shoe was the farthest thing from comfortable. When I would walk in them, it felt like I was walking on some really hard rocks that were slamming into the bottom of my feet. I had heard such great things about this shoe, so I am severely disappointed and needless to say, these are going back!

Immediately after purchase I logged in an outstanding review of this shoe. Within about one week of that review, the soles started making loud and embarrassing squinchy noises, which have only increased with time. I am now a very loud walker in quiet places. So, don't purchase if you wish to walk softly.

I have bought over 6 pairs of Dansko clogs over the years. So I'm a big fan. But this last pair I bought has this annoying squeak with every step I take. Has anyone else had the problem? I think they are using cheaper materials or workmanship. Unfortunately I can't return them to Zappos because I've worn them.

Wonderful company. The sales reps were more than helpful when I made the mistake they did everything they could to correct my mistake and my purchase got to my daughter in time for her birthday. Couldn't believe hope kind and helpful they were. A+++++++++ for customer service......Thank you Zappos....

I wear this style of Dansko all the time, with and without socks, and loved that they came in patent leather. Purchased them two years ago, and boy do they cramp my feet. I have had them stretched at least five times and have them in stretchers at home always. The patent leather has no give as regular leather does, and as much as I adore the patent leather, I'm ready to give them away. Any suggestions as to how to stretch patent leather? Would love to keep them and wear them all the time.

Much wider than U.S. narrow sizes.

I felt like these were really shallow and the top of my feet were rubbing against the inside of the top of the shoe. I LOVED the patent leather but these just didn't feel comfortable, especially at this price.

I wanted so badly to join the legions of Dansko groupies and love these, but they just didn't work for me. I have flat feet and the arch support in these shoes actually hurt. Very happy as always with Zappos customer service and free returns, which allowed me to send them back when they didn't work out!

I have been a fan of Dansko since I was a teenager. I ordered the brown tooled version of this shoe and have returned them. The dog stepped on my foot and scratched the color off right off the shoe. The leather does not hold polish so I was unable to repair and have returned. This has not been the case with my other pairs - not sure what kind of leather treatment was used on this version. Too bad - they are beautiful!

This is the second pair of Danskos that the soles have cracked and black pieces have flaked off. My first pair lasted for years (this was my third). They have been my favorite work shoe. I'm going to try Sanitas and hope they last longer.

I really want to love Dansko. My sister has had a pair of clogs for ages that I love! But every time I buy a pair (slider sandal, strappy sandal and now the clog) it just never works out. This clog would be perfect for work, but the width in the middle is too narrow and I have narrow feet! The heel area does not have enough depth either, so it's like wearing mules, every step the heel fully comes out. It's as if I need to go down a size, but it's already too narrow, so, back they go. I'm trying the Sanitas next. Zappos is always great though!
