What can I say? These shoes are the bomb. Are they hugely sexy and chic? No. Are they incredibly comfortable and perfect for travel? YES. These are my go-to vacation shoes. I can slip them off at airport security, they have excellent arch support, and I've worn them walking for hours everywhere from Amsterdam to Orlando. No breaking in; no blisters. So much better looking than the dreaded sneakers, and since they have a little heel I can wear my longer jeans with them.

Not the most attractive shoe by any means but they cured my extremely painful plantar fasciitis. If your feet hurt, these are for you. Luckily I was professionally fitted, otherwise I would have gone too small. The heel should be very loose for a proper fit in these shoes. I wear an 8.5-9 in most brands, and in these I wear a 40. My only regret is that I didn't get the oiled style, instead I got the regular black professionals. Less shiny would look better in my opinion.

I am a size 11 and a 41 was way too small and very narrow for my foot sending back!

For those who don't understand how they size, I was told by the live person and you should be able to feel your foot move inside them, and your ankle should slip up and down a bit. I wear a 9 in women and I wear a 40. These fit perfect. I wear them all day to work and school and I find all I want to wear on the weekend is my Danskos!

I bought the Pro years ago, and now they are getting worn out. My bunions have grown, so I tried the Wide. The Wides definitely run longer than the Regulars. Thus, in comparison to my current Danskos, a size down in a Wide is virtually identical in size to a larger Regular, maybe just a wee bit shorter. The Wide is definitely much longer. I can slip in a finger at the heel of my Regulars, but there is room for a big man's thumb at the end of my Wides. The Box finish seems to run smaller than the Cabrio as well. If you seem to be in between two sizes, check out the Wides. I am still trying to decide whether to keep this pair and only wear them with thick socks. I hate to give up on Danskos altogether, as the support takes pressure off my bunions.

This is one amazing shoe! Comfort is unparalleled - I'm a bartender who works easily 13+ hour shifts with little to no breaks and I can say this shoe leaves my feet feeling great at the end of the night. The only problem I have is that because it isn't adjustable (no laces) I have twisted my ankles in the shoe while going down stairs. They do include a warning in the shoe box - they are not meant to be worn for walking/going up and down stairs a ton. I've worn them most every day for near 10 years and the soles are still in amazing shape. The seams on the sides have just started to come undone - my cobbler can fix both for $25. Small price to pay for an amazing shoe! The quality of the shoe is outstanding - as long as that doesn't change Dansko will have my business for a very long time! Highly recommended!

Didn't work for me - Just wanted to let other ladies with large feet know, if you wear a Size 12, don't bother ordering Dansko. Their "12" is really an 11. I wear a true Size 12, and I couldn't even get my foot INTO this shoe, much less wear it.

I wanted to like them, I really did. Funny enough, my feet never hurt -- but now my back does. I never have had any back problems until I started wearing these. I've been working 12 hour nursing shifts for many years without one back issue/ache -- and our patients need full lift help. The only new thing is these shoes. I have been complimented on my posture often, so don't think there is a big posture difference with these. But for some reason, my mid back kills after wearing them. I had hoped to wear them for work as a nurse, but will most likely just wear them rarely for casual errands. Oh and I wear a ladies 12 -- used the conversion charts and the feedback and went up a size from the recommended. I still had to go up one more size because my toes were pressing on the end of the 43's. In my opinion, a woman's 12 = 44 (not a 42 or 43).

What’s Up with Dansko!!! I own two pair of Danskos in this same style (black and brown) in a size 40. The first pair I ordered (size 40) were waaaaay too big. Then I ordered a size 39 which were very snug, but I wanted to will them to work. Unfortunately I wore them to work and they are VERY uncomfortable, but now they are mine and I am destined to several years of pain. I am disappointed in the lack of standardization on Dansko’s part.

I have owned over 10 pairs of the professional clog. I am a chef and work silly-stupid hours, standing and walking most of the day in a hotel. These are the only shoe I would ever consider. I wear a 12 in some shoes and a 13 in some. Dansko size 47 is perfect. I recall the first time wearing them and my feet and legs ached so bad. I had to train my arches by wearing the Danskos for only a couple hours then switching back to my old work shoes. I often wear them on my days off due to the comfort level, I do not care how they look. My feet are happy! I also made the mistake in buying the professional oiled version once. They do not have a sheen coating on them and absorb water when they get wet leading to soggy sad feet. Stick with the professional box leather. They only issue I have is the sole cracks after some time. Usually happens when I squat and the clog flexes under the ball of my foot. Now that I gave discovered this, I am cautious and able to prolong the life of the clogs. Good luck.

Awesome shoe! I have arthritis in my toes, plantar fasciitis and fallen arches. These shoes were extremely comfortable from the minute I put them on. I usually only wear sneakers with custom orthotics or Birkenstock sandals, but now I have my Danskos! And thank you Zappos, as usual, your service was amazingly fast and efficient.

These shoes are very comfortable and supportive. They did seem to run a little small, at least in the larger sizes. I wear a women's 13, and I ended up fitting in the men's 45. It would be nice to see their women's shoes in these larger sizes too.

Nice shoe. The leather is a little firm until worn awhile. Good support and looks nice. Style is good, even though the shoe has large toe box the overall look is very nice. Can be worn with many types of outfits.

Approximately every 4 years I have to replace my Dansko Narrow Professional clogs. This is my third pair. They're still great, but the heel fit on the right foot feels a tad different and slightly less comfortable when driving long distances. Perhaps they're being manufactured somewhere else now? Still the only closed clogs that fit someone with truly narrow feet. Thank you Dansko! Wish they came in a greater variety of colors.

My first pair and I love them! I bought the black patent and followed the advice of the other reviews and went up a size to a 40. I always wear a 9M in every shoe, never an 8.5 or 9.5 and a 40 in these shoes is a perfect fit for me. Now I am going to buy a pair in the red marble and a pair in the pearlized purple to match every scrub combination that I have. I love Zappos, I ordered these last night after 10PM and just received them before 1:30PM today. Awesome!

Excellent shoe! Comfortable out of the box. No need to break them in. I'm a 9M, so I previously ordered a 38, which was too short. The 40 fit much better. Recommend ordering a half size larger.

Overall, I love these shoes. They look great with jeans and brown and black pants. Wish I had gone one size up as the cuff on the top of the shoes bothers me. Also, I can’t wear thick socks with them.

This is my third pair of Dansko professional, and it is no coincidence they are the favorite of people who work on their feet. The toe grip action keeps the feet exercised and their is plenty of room for cozy socks. Don't reccomend them for working where the ground is very uneven, but for hospital work, they can't be beat!

I had a pair of these shoes a few years ago and wore them almost every day when I was teaching. I am retired now but wanted a pair of shoes that I could just slip on and and be comfortable in all day long. I bought these again and am very glad I did. They make my size 10/11 foot appear smaller and look good with jeans and almost everything.

Dansko professional - I loved the shoes until I got calluses on the balls of both my feet...very painful. After persevering with the calluses, they eventually disappeared and now these shoes are the most comfortable I ever owned. Go figure!

Let me start by saying that Zappos shipping/customer service is the best! After trying several pairs of these shoes(in store) I decided not to bother being a "Dansko wearer". I am an 11.5 in one foot and a 12 in the other. I could not find any fashionable Dansko in store to accommodate my size (even these). Zappos to the rescue. I am a nurse and are on my feet 10-12 hours a day. It has been almost impossible to find a comfy work shoe other than sneaker but I must say these have been very comfy. I wear them daily. I did need a slight break in period, but after a week I was even more glad that I took a chance on these. My only complaint is to Dansko: There are many women in the world that need size 44 in this shoe. You should really attempt to accommodate them with a few more feminine choices. This is as fashionable as I can get with this brand for my size feet!

I've been waiting tables for 17 years now and these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I work at a high-end, high volume restaurant in center city Philadelphia with stained concrete floors and I would be limping to my car after work each night. After my first night wearing these shoes all the pain had gone away. I was amazed to say the least. Only bad thing is that the sole is a good inch and a half to two inches. Not a problem for most guys but I'm already 6'4" and I'm pushing 6'6" with these ones but they are so comfortable I just don't care.

This is my second pair of Dansko clogs. My first pair lasted 5 years. The sizing was perfect, but I already knew what size Dansko I would need and was fit by a professional for my first pair. Great shoe that really helps keep my lower back from hurting even after 9 hrs on my feet.

I bought these on the suggestion of various friends. I love them; however, when I bought them they hurt the top of my foot. After about a weeks’ worth of wear they were much more comfortable! I get a lot of compliments on these shoes, especially the design! I will definitely be buying another pair!

I wear a woman's 13 and one foot is slightly longer than the other. I ended up with a Men's 46! Which is more than one size up. I tried 3 pairs and the third was the charm. If you need them fast it's probably a good idea to order more than one pair at a time to try the different sizes. And when you find the right size, like the other reviewers state, they feel good right out of the box!
