This is my first pair. I have had the for about a month and a half. I am very please with them. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis for about three years. I had custom orthodics made. I wish I would have tried these first to get my feet straightened out. I have spent a small fortune on shoes and inserts looking for relief. The Birkenstocks give great support and are very comfortable. I have since purchased another pair. Those are not the soft footbed. I really like those too, but I do prefer the soft footbed. Birkenstocks Rock!

After reading other reviews, I ordered a size smaller. Upon putting the sandal on, even before connecting the rear strap, I was amazed at the comfort of the sandal. I am very pleased with the comfort and appearance. These are the first Birkenstock's I've purchased and I don't think they will be the last. My daughter and wife have raved of their comfort for years, just took me longer.

I own a pair of Milano - hard footbed I guess - and I wanted to see what soft footbed was like. You don't sink into them at all, they are modestly soft. They are very comfortable and feel very supportive of my foot. I like the way they feel. I am an 8.5, but I ordered the 40 based on my old Milanos. I have a very hard time with European sizing. Some things are 39, others 40, even within the Birkenstock line.

Loved these sandals! I purchased these sandals a couple weeks ago. I have foot problems (plantar fasciitis & heel spurs, etc) and I read a review saying these were good sandals to get. Well, I was skeptical but after trying a bunch of other sandals that didn't work, I decided to give these a try. The first couple days they kind of hurt my feet but I trudged through it because that's what other reviewers said to do. I wore them about 15-30 minutes a day and after 3 or 4 days my feet felt great and didn't hurt at all! Now I wear them all the time and my feet actually feel really good! I'd recommend these to anyone with feet problems or even without. And thank you Zappos! You guys rock as always!

Great Shoe! I am sold on Birks for comfort. The look is not that attractive, but COMFORT it is. I have flat, narrow, plantar fasciitis feet and the more I wear them, the better they feel. Absolute no foot pain. This is my third pair of Birks sandals, but my first pair w/ a strap. I highly recommend the strap for people w/ narrow, skinny feet. Helps them feel more secure and keeps foot better placed on footbed. Excellent shoe. Highly recommend for anyone w/ narrow feet. GET THE NARROW and it does run slightly short. I wear 8 1/2-9 and the 40s just barely fit! Zappos is amazing. My 3rd time dealing w/ them. Excellent customer service, excellent!

Shoes were exactly as I hoped! I am really enjoying them. I ordered a narrow, which I would highly suggest unless you know you for sure have wide feet. They probably would have been too wide and not as good looking on if I didn't.

I bought these Birkenstocks for my husband's birthday. He had expressed a desire for a new pair, since his old Birkenstocks were already pretty worn. Believe me, these sandals can last a lifetime and is a very wise investments, especially if you are concerned about comfort and stability. We are pleased customers of Zappos. Wow!!! These shoes are awesome. These shoes are super comfortable and they 're really cute!!! They are cushioned and they are a dream to wear. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them. They are pricey but well worth the money. You will love these shoes, I promise!!! I'm very, very happy with my purchase.

Husband loves his Birks. They are fabulously comfortable is what he has to say about his new sandals. The foot bed is so much more comfortable than the hard, textured bed of a pair of Chacos.

Great shoe! Birks are always well made, for comfort and fit you can't beat the soft footbed. These are my favorite anytime summer sandal.

This is my very first Birkenstock. When I ordered it, size was too big for my feet. I returned it and ordered a new pair, I am a small gent so I had to go for the woman's size. I went from my man's size of 6 1/2 to woman's 6 1/2 (which is size 4 mans). I love my first Birkenstock. It fits perfectly. It only took me about two hours to break it in. I've been a loyal Zappos customer. They have always sent my shoes overnight even if I requested for standard shipping. Zappos is the best!

I love my Birks! I have only purchased the soft bed shoes so that I can wear them right away. If you are a Birkenstock fan, these are great.

Slipped these on and in an instant I was in love. The softer foot bed is heaven . The width is what they say and be sure to order your correct length, too.

Very comfortable. My first pair was too big and I reordered for one size smaller--which worked out fine. They are well-built, and I expect they should last for years.

I have peripheral neuropathy and find the Birkenstock to be most comfortable. It is hard for me to wear a closed shoe and these are just right.

These were a little stiff around the top ankle area for the first couple of wears, which made my ankles a bit sore, but after that they were a dream! These are nice and soft now and super-comfy and stay on the feet nicely. I love them!
