Another Happy Customer - I have had many pairs of Birkenstock's before and loved every one of them...BUT this pair is by far the best I have ever had. The comfort of this show is outstanding. The Soft Footbed of this model provides more comfort than any shoe of its kind that I have had in the past. All I can say is this is a wonderful shoe and Zappos had it shipped to me faster than any other company. Everybody should give this shoe a try.

Great comfy sandal! These are great shoes. I needed something more secure than the Arizona type Birkenstock to use on the Elliptical every morning and these work great! And...I keep them on all day most days. Of course, you cannot beat Birkenstock quality and looks. You just cannot have too many Birkenstocks -- I have more than these!

Behold, the most comfortable shoe in the world - I have difficult feet - long Morton's toes, wide feet, big feet, and Morton's Neuroma. As a consequence I need perfect arch support, and no other type of shoe delivers like a Birkenstock. Once the footbed is broken in, you won't want to wear anything else. Some complain about the leather straps in the non-suede Birks - they do take a little breaking in. A word of advice: buy them in the winter, wear them with heavy wool socks while the straps relax. By spring you'll be good and bonded with them. Another nice thing about Birks is they are easily repaired - there are some good reputable shops online - restoring them virtually brand new for a fraction of the cost of new shoes. I prefer the Milano over all other Birk models. The clogs irritate my Morton's toe and Arizonas don't have enough support. The back strap keeps these shoes firmly in place, making them appropriate for a number of activities, not the least being walking for which they are excellent.

Partial rating for Birkenstock - Hard to find narrow width is perfect fit, left foot. Superficial clot on right foot has caused problem that I will discuss with podiatrist/surgeon and convey later.

Great everyday shoes -- I have four pair of Birkenstocks.

Most comfortable shoe - I bought the sandals for my daughter who swears by Birkenstock. She was most pleased with the comfort of the soft footbed sandal. She tells me it fits like a glove!

Love them - Only sandal my podiatrist will let me wear. The narrow is truly narrow. Got a blister on my arch the first time I wore them for more than an hour or so. But they fit like a glove. Wasn't sure about the soft footbed but love them!!!!

Walking on a cloud - I love my new Birkenstock's. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. My son bought a pair with the soft foot bed and said they were wonderful. So when I saw them in my size, color and style I got them. Boy was he right. They are wonderful.

Love these Birkenstocks! I have multiple foot problems, and the Soft Footbed Birkenstocks are so far the most comfortable footwear I've found. I would love to have some athletic shoes with the exact same footbed.

I'm a big Birkenstock fan. I have very sensitive feet, neuropathy, & high arches. Birkenstocks regular are wide enough for my feet. In New Balance, I have to order WW or wider, other shoes vary. Most of us have certain styles of Birkenstock that work for us. I decided to try this one because I usually wear Arizona in the summer, but I wanted a shoe with a back strap that I might be able to wear more comfortably if I am going out and need to walk. I wouldn't try to walk any real distance in these, but I could venture out in them. As with many Birkenstocks they take some breaking in. The buckles are very stiff and it's hard to get the strap into the buckle. There is a place on the side buckle that rubbed my ankle when I first got the shoes. They are coming along fine, though, and I like them a lot. I love the arch support in Birkenstocks.

I ordered a pair of Birkenstock Milano Soft Footbed sandals in size 39. They are long enough. (I'm usually a women's 8.5 or 9 in length.) But the regular width is too narrow for me where my foot fits into the footbed. The straps on this sandal will easily accommodate a high instep like mine...that isn't a problem. It's just that the footbed isn't wide enough for me. My women's size 9 Extra Wide (EE) walking shoes aren't quite wide enough either. I am writing this review to help women who have very wide feet. These Birkenstock Milano Soft Footbed sandals also have very tough leather. Not only are they hard to buckle because the leather is so stiff. I believe I could actually slice my sandwich in half easily using the tough strap of this sandal! The straps are too hard to be comfortable in my opinion. I do have tender skin. The sandals also appear to be fastened together with some type of metal similar to a staple embedded in the leather straps. I am wondering if the metal fasteners would cause irritation.

Beautiful quality and difficult to get on and off due to design of buckle. Once on, however, very comfortable to wear. I wish this came with a Velcro attachment for the heel strap.

So these aren't the most feminine looking sandals, but I have to have sandals with a back strap! These were comfortable straight out of the box! Also really like their sandals that have soft footbeds. Only problem is that I did have to order one size down. I wear a women's size 9, so I should wear a size 40, but needed to order a 39 based upon other reviews I read and based upon the fact that this style of Birkenstocks runs large. But otherwise I love all my soft footbed Birkenstocks with back straps!

Love these Birkenstocks! I wear them for walking and bike riding. They feel so good on my feet and have the best arch support. I wear a woman's size 6 and ordered the 36 narrow.

I have plantar fasciitis and this is the only shoe to give me relief! Very comfortable, great support, and really feels secure with back strap. Arch support and toe grip feel wonderful. I wear these with and without socks...they are my "go-to shoes!" Many think Birks are eccentric looking...who cares? At this stage of the game, it's all about comfort! Pricey, but well worth it...you get just what you pay for! By the way, Zappos service is the best!

Good support with a touch of pillow - my feet are happy!

I was replacing my old Birkenstocks and was surprised to see they were a size 41 which Zappos calls a size 8-8 1/2. I am a size 10 in other shoes like Rockports, but I ordered a size 41 narrow and they were perfect. If I had ordered a 43 the sandals would have been much too big. These sandals work well for me. I have a narrow heel and so the strap really helps. The front strap rubs a little which is why I give them 4 stars instead of 5, but they are still the only sandals I like except for Keens. With Keens, I buy women's sizes or the bicycle style to get them narrow enough.

Bad Feet? Having a condition of nerve pain at the ball of the feet, my doctor demanded I only buy shoes with no-flex in the sole. This sandal was a perfect selection for my problem. I wear a size 13 shoe and the metric 45 was perfect as these sandals are cut on the large side. Zappos delivered quite promptly!

Great - This Milano is my second pair of the same sandal. The arch support is perfect for me as is the rest of the footbed. I love them.

Great sandals - I have never owned a pair of Birkenstock sandals because I thought they were all open on the back. I was wrong, these are great.

Wish I could wear Birkenstock - Because I must wear sandals most of the time, a variety of styles, even in Birkenstock, would be helpful--something a little more feminine I think. The fit is great, though I get annoyed with that raised edge at the toe, and I now prefer velcro to buckles in order to easily slip in and out of shoes when visiting friends who have a no-shoes policy. Shoe designers and manufacturers be warned: the population of women over 65 is growing rapidly, and will want and require comfortable yet attractive, even elegantly designed shoes, not left-overs from the '60's.

Happy Feet - I had bunion and hammertoe surgery last summer and my feet are still "tender". A friend who had the same surgery suggested Birkenstocks. They definitely make my feet feel better. I chose the sandals so that as the swelling goes down I can just tighten the straps. I have been wearing them with socks in the cold weather and doing just fine. I would recommend these to anyone with foot problems.

Best ever - These are the best sandals you can own. They cost more than a cheap pair you can get elsewhere, but are much higher in quality and comfort. Zappos is also the best footwear company I have ever dealt with.
