Wife convinced me to try a pair of Birkenstock. I wore them once. Rubbed in all the wrong places.

I bought a pair for my husband who is a size 12; the size 12 was too large for him and the indentations in the sole were off so I exchanged it for one size smaller. Unfortunately, those pushed his toes over the sole of the shoe. And my pair did the same to me. Either we've both got very odd feet, or we just weren't wearing these correctly. Shame though! I really wanted Birkenstock to work but in the end, the off-sizing was too much of a problem. Zappos customer service was amazing as always.

The fit was great. Having problems with the top strap cutting sores in the top of my foot. The leather is really tough, have tried to adjust the straps, but it hasn't worked. Trying to find something to soften up the leather. I would have returned them, but I destroyed the box!
