New Balance M992 - Have been wearing New Balance for years & this shoe fits well.

Great shoe...snug fit - The 992 is a great shoe for the serious walker. I have a narrow foot but this shoe still fit a little snug. It has loosened up to comfortable after a couple wearings. Only 3 stars for looks. I wanted the white/blue but all they had was the grey/blue. Not much selection when you have a double AA foot. Overall a great shoe.

The Twin Brother of the 991 - I have been wearing NB 991's ever since they were first released. The 992 incorporates all of the benefits of its earlier brother and some more. I have a severe pronation problem and this shoe solves that problem. They are extremely comfortable and wear like an old Volvo station wagon. Sine the beginning smoky grey was the only available color. In recent years selection was expanded to black and also blue. The new 992's now come in blue and white - at last. I will never wear any other running shoe. They are made in the USA, how about that!!!! Quality and appearance are exceptional. Ps: customer service at Zappos is excellent. You know how to run a company.

Jim - I've tried many brands and models looking for very comfortable multi-use sneakers and the NB M992 are a clear winner. Well built, lightweight and padding in the right places. Great product, free shipping and a price match make for a very satisfied customer!

This is my 4 pair - Never had tried better shoes then these, most comfort, nice design, can walk all day with out problems. I use them all time, in almost every occasion. Tried many shoes but it is not going to get any better. This is the best.

The support I needed - This shoe is perfect for people like me with flat feet and week knees. It provides a solid supportive platform and is great on the shock absorption.

Good Shoe - I have neuropathy and a charkot joint in my left foot. I wear a rather large orthotic, there is plenty of room in this shoe 12 4E. The sole is fairly rigid overall so it supports my bad foot evenly which is exactly what I need. I can walk with just a slight limp. It's a fairly expensive shoe, I hope to get a year out of a pair, I’m on my feet most days. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit, these do.

Nice! I actually bought these for work. I stand on concrete for 10+ hours a day and my feet used to hurt constantly. After wearing these for a week my foot pains were gone. I would recommend these to anyone for anything.

Excellent Shoe!!! They actually improved one of the best shoes on the market, the 991...I love the blue color and the improvements in stability and more area for someone with a higher arch...No short cuts were made with this new model...Excellent Shoe!!!

Be good to your feet - Feet on the ground, head in the clouds; an easy feat while jogging the streets in 992's. They're a bit pricey, but super comfortable and made in the USA - a trade off I fully accept. I'd wear them all the time if I didn't want to keep them tip top for running.

New Balance 992 - These shoes are for my husband. He walks and stands on concrete all day. He was originally wearing the 991. Once they discontinued them, we switched to the 992. He really depends on these shoes to keep him 'mobile' all day. He has bad knees and these shoes really help him stay 'upright' all day. Thanks, Robin M

Great Update to a Classic Running Shoe - The 992 is a great update to the 991 and I highly recommend them. They have the same great support, stability, and cushioning that I love in the 991’s, but with improvements in the materials used. They are well worth the additional money, but I still love my 991’s as well and own several pair. I am a bit puzzled by the other Zappos reviews for this shoe stating that the 992 runs larger than the 991. I have both in a size 12D and in a side-by-side comparison I find them to be almost exactly the same in both width and length. I recommend that you check them out first before you order if you are not sure. In any case, you will not be disappointed with the quality of this shoe. Additionally, it is a nice plus that they are made in the USA.

Super Comfortable! I ordered these for my husband, who has flat feet and puts cushion inserts in all of his shoes. He opened the box, put them on, and started pounding the pavement the next minute because they felt so good--no inserts needed! He loved the grey pair so much that I ordered a second pair in black. I just wish the white sole didn't have so much visual impact.

New Balance - I bought these shoes for work. I'm on my feet all day and needed a comfort shoe that would hold up under continuous use. So far, so good. The comfort is a bit off, but, from experience, I'm sure that they will give to fit my feet.

I usually wear a 12 medium but ordered a 12.5 medium in this shoe, and even that was too small in length and too snug in width at the toe. Zappos provided speedy, no-cost return and replacement service, getting me size 13 wide (EE) shoes, which fit fine. The grey and the blue/white are both very attractive without being gaudy. I like them both but bet the grey will look clean longer. I've owned many pairs of various models in this series -- M990, M996, M998, M992 -- over the years and they all have been lightweight, pillow soft, with great arch and ankle support. Fabulous shoes. I've tried others that were cheaper but always end up back in these. They are on the expensive side but they are good value for the dollar nonetheless.

Great service; great product - I've worn this brand and style shoe for over 15 years because they are comfortable. It is very difficult to find shoes with EE or EEE widths. This is one of the few available styles in extra wide widths and (thank goodness) they are the most comfortable I've ever worn. I hope New Balance never takes these shoes off the market. ---- Zappos was extremely quick about filling and delivering the order. The best service I've ever seen!!

A Quality running sneaker - Comfortable, stylish and functional. These shoes are everything they are advertised to be. Well worth the price, and your feet will thank you too!

990 series fan - I recently ordered the 992s in a 13 EE. I did this because of the other reviews that I read said they felt wider than the 991s. Well, I wore a 13 EEEE in the 991s and found out the hard way that I also need a 13 EEEE in the 992s also. So if you have wide feet, and wore an EEEE in the 991s, I think you'll want an EEEE in the 992s also.

Running Shoes - New Balance makes the best running shoe for the money. Zappos prices are lower than E.T. Wright or Active Soles.

Why change the best? I have worn the 990 series for years and I have always liked the look and fit. I am still happy with this new model, but I want to stress that this is a significantly larger cut (both width and length) than the 991s used to! I was wearing 991s in size 14B and the 992 14B is noticeably wider and larger in the toe box than I was accustomed to.

Sweet - The shoe is very comfortable, the size runs a little big, but overall it is a good shoe.

Well made shoe - I am on my feet all day (furniture maker) and I go through shoes pretty quickly. I live in a hot climate so boots are out and running shoes seem to be the most comfortable. I have wide feet and like arch support. These shoes are the best I have had, very comfortable and last longer by far than the others I have used. My feet do not hurt at the end of the day after wearing these. I highly recommend them.
