New Balance's M992 - Much more comfortable than the Asics I originally ordered and returned.

Performs As Advertised - Excellent shoe. Initial fit, comfort, stability, and ease-of-lacing all very good. For trail running, the sole could be a bit more aggressive, but that's my fault, not the shoes'. Also very much like the New Balance policy of trying to do as much of the shoe as possible in America. Next pair will be New Balance. And, naturally, purchased from Zappos. The mere fact that when you call you get - immediately - a reasonable person whom you can understand is worth a lot. Good show!

Very comfortable - From someone who suffers with heels spurs and has to wear orthotics these were recommended by my foot doctor and they are really comfortable. They have helped relieve the everyday pain.

Good shoes, as expected from NB - These feel a little bigger (longer in the toe) than 12s usually feel on me. The width (EE) feels right though. Very comfortable, although I think other NB sneakers I've had have been even more comfy.

Better than the 991 - The 992 is a much better shoe than the 991 it replaces. It has received some negative feedback regarding sizing, but the only difference is the toe box area is a bit wider. It actually makes the shoe more comfortable than the 991, which always seemed a bit tight in the toe box area. The materials used on the 992 are superior to the 991 and the quality is consistent. The 992 does take a bit longer to break-in. When you first wear them they seem much harder and firmer than the 991, but after about a week or so of use, they feel great. I would highly recommend the 992 for any former 991 users. The mens sizes are pretty true to size. I've heard that the womens sizes tend to run a half size small. Since Zappos offers lightning fast shipping and free returns, the sizing should be a non-issue.

992 New Balance shoe - I had two pairs of New Balance 991 and they no longer make them so I got the 992 shoe and they or just like the 991 the best shoes I have ever had. They fit the same as the 991. The best everyday shoe and great for running and other sports.

Comfortable, durable... and available in MY size! I have long been a fan of New Balance footwear, using them as a light-weight respite from my accustomed heavy arch-support shoes and boots. The 992 appears to be the best of the sequence yet, and this time I was able, through Zappos, to obtain the size I need. For a man, I have extremely narrow feet (AA) and have almost despaired to find anything for men narrower than a B. The M992, in my style and size, has been a most welcome discovery! Thanks.

New Balance - For the price it is a nice looking shoe that feels comfortable and has good support.

New Balance M992 - After much research, I selected the M992's for my husband who suffers from chronic pain from a neck injury. Each footstep he takes hurts. So my first plan was to find a really good set of insoles to place inside his current New Balance shoes. Then a friend mentioned that New Balance carries a huge line of shoes and may have one that met his needs. I read the reviews here and gave the M992's a try. They arrived promptly from Zappos. My husband tried them on and went on an on about how good they felt. He tried walking on different surfaces and was quite pleased. He thanked me several times for finding these for him. In regards to size, he wears a 9-1/2 4E or a 10 4E. I wasn't sure which one to buy. Some reviewers mentioned they ran a tad big, so I went with the 9-1/2's. Perfect fit! Perfect shoe! Will buy again.

On the run with M992 - This is my second pair of 992s (the other is grey). I bought them to use as training shoes, but I have run two half marathons wearing them and they hold up well under the pressure of a 200 pound runner.

Great Support - Support is always iffy on large sizes but this shoe delivers. The fact that it is so good looking is another plus and it is lightweight too.

Great for wide feet - We ordered three pair of athletic shoes to try for a good fit for my son's very wide feet. 4E width was perfect. Very hard to find this size. Thank you for the great service.

These shoes rock! Usually bought the New Balance M991. I think this type has been discounted. The New M992's are excellent. Makes me want to run an extra mile!

Proper fit/tough to find - I am a big guy 6'5" and struggle to find the right fit in clothing and shoes. For a long time I wore shoes and athletic clothing that simply did not fit. Perhaps this may have explained why I have some back trouble as I enter middle age. There is no other running shoe that offers me the fit and shoe size as the New Balance. My size is 14 B (narrow). I have gone through several pairs. They fit to my actual size; offer plenty of support, and comfort. Ordering from Zappos is easy and it doesn't get any better. I wish buying all my clothing was this easy? I am a very satisfied customer.

New Balance M992 - I purchased this shoe for my husband who has narrow feet. This is one of the few styles in narrow widths. The shoe looks great and is very comfortable. This style is made in the USA and the quality is superb. The only thing that enhances the look of this shoe is to exchange the white laces for gray ones.

Old Man Shoes - Good shoes, best running shoes I've ever had, hands down. They look a little dated, and my girlfriend says they look like old man shoes. Oh well, they make my feet feel nice. Worth the money? This choice should be up there, but there are probably some other shoes out there that may be better for the money.

A classic shoe design that has stood the test of time - you feel warm and fuzzy just to wear it. The 992 is better than the 991 and way better than the 990 - each incarnation has added well thought out techno improvements while keeping the look the same. Well engineered cushioning and stability features. Comfortable training shoe for running on pavement or treadmill - not the best for off road though. Runs about a quarter of a size large, but don't size down because the extra room is helpful.

Gratefully impressed by the service - My husband is a diabetic; consequently he needs a proper fitting shoe. But he hates shopping for shoes. Since we have always have had good results with New Balance I usually try to get the same style because of the fit. After reading the reviews (which were very helpful) I decided to try the M992. They are great, comfortable and have a much wider toe box which he needs. We received them in about 4 days after ordering. Thank you for the quick response. I'm sure I'll order again.

Doctor recommended - There were purchased for my husband who has had 5 surgeries to repair a badly broken leg. Since he hadn't been able to walk for year, he needed a really good pair of shoes. The Orthopedic doctor that mended his leg recommended these shoes, and they've turned out to have excellent support and comfort.

Outstanding kicks! These are the best running shoes I've owned. I've had several pairs of the 991s over the years and was reluctant to go with anything new even though I've had consistently good luck with New Balance products. The 992 is a little better than the 991 in terms of the overall support and feel of the shoe. I love the black - looks very hip.

A Great Balance of Substance and Style - As a big fan of New Balance shoes, the 992s don't disappoint. I am a longtime 991 wearer and the 992s are a good evolution in terms of fit and support.
