I was hesitant to buy these because of the price, but was so glad I did. I needed a warm, comfortable, stylish shoe that could be dressed up and dressed down, and something I could walk all day long all over Paris in the winter. Just like some of the other reviews say, straight out of the box, these things are ready to wear, all day long. I have sensitive feet and get blisters easily. I wore these straight out of the box all over San Francisco with zero problems. They kept my feet toasty warm, and had no problem walking all over the hills and various districts of San Fran, including over the Golden Gate Bridge! Needless to say, I broke these in nicely. Great support, versatile, and uber comfortable. I have no doubt that these will be perfect for my upcoming Paris trip! Buy these and you won't regret it.

I really love these boots. They have a great comfy heel and they look great over tights. If I could say anything it would be super comfy while sleek and practical. I wear them all day with no problem. At first they scrunched around my ankle a bit, but now they are so soft there that I don't notice it.

Love everything about these but they are too wide around the top!

I loved these boots. The width and instep fit wonderfully. However I do have a wider calf, and although I could zip them up they where tight and no room to put pants inside. The comfort was wonderful and if you don't have wide calf I would give them excellent rating.

I bought these boots in black nonpatent leather after searching for what seemed like forever for a boot that would accommodate insoles/orthotics with extra arch support (although if I didn't have particular feet, the soft, arch supporting and heel cupping removable insoles that came with these boots would have been fine all by themselves). It should be noted that these shoes are really narrow, especially if you have bunions, and rather tight around the ankle. I ended up getting size 8.5 double wide for my usually normal-width feet. The ankle is still tight (even though I have small ankles), so thick socks are not really an option, but on the whole I absolutely love these boots. I do wish they came in different colors than black and red, such as brown or tan, and were a little less plain, but the comfort alone gives them 5 stars.

Great idea, but way too tight. These are great boots. They would look great in snow or for just everyday wear. I ordered an 11 wide, which is always my size but these I couldn't even get my foot in, painful to even try on. They were back in the box in 5 minutes and ready to return. Zappos, as usual, was excellent. Lightning fast shipment. Next day arrival. I will always order from Zappos before going to any shoe store because they carry the widest selection of my extended size and you can return for free.

Love love love my boots. They are true to size, great with skirts or jeans and are comfortable after a full 10 hour+ day of walking, sitting, etc.

Cute, but too small. I usually wear a 7.5 so that's what I ordered, but I could hardly get my foot into the boot. Unfortunately I'm sending them back.

Love both color (cherry) and style. I have small calves, and was happy that these fit my legs appropriately.

Love them! They are so comfortable and keep my feet warm and dry. La Canadienne boots size on the smaller side, so if you're hesitated between two sizes, go for the bigger size. The tip of the boots were slightly rigid at the very beginning. It just takes a day to break into them.

This boot is great. My only issue with it is a rather squishy "step" feeling. So if you like a cushioned walk, this is it. I have to say it's a little too gooey for me. I think it actually slows my walking down and fatigues my feet. Maybe I'll take out the mushy insert and then walk on a harder surface. That said, everything else is great. It is awful shiny though. But I suppose that's part of the appeal. Love the square toe and that I was able to get this in a wide.

The 6.5 fit like a glove with knee length wool socks. Initially, I got the crinkle patent leather as the regular black leather was out of stock. Though beautiful, it was too shiny for running around town with my kids. Also tried a pair of Merrells for half the price. It just didn't look as good as the LCs. So glad that the black was back in stock. Love these boots and love the fast service. All boots arrived the next day and returns were so easy. Thank you!

Beautiful boots, but I think they fit a bit small. I have other La Canadiennes in the same size as these (11W) and they fit great. These I could barely squeeze into. Very form fitting. But as I said very attractive and they seem to have nice supportive insoles, so if the size was right they would be very comfortable. I am very bummed as they don't make an 11.5 or an 11 WW. Don't know why shoe companies rarely make extra wide in larger sizes or even make larger sizes. Zappos was great though, fast delivery.

I love the style and construction of these shoes. They are solid. I did have to return the boots because they did run slightly smaller than my size. I miss them and it was a very hard decision to let them go.

My feet seem to hurt in all the shoes I have purchased... until now!!!! I walked in them all day the first time I wore them and my feet were in complete comfort!

I LOVE YOU ZAPPOS! I ordered these Monday 11am - got them 8pm the next day. It feels like Christmas whenever I order from Zappos. These are my second pair of La Canadienne Shoes. They are worth the cost. I am wearing them at work day 2 after ordering them and they are super comfortable after being on my feet all day long. I have flat feet and wide bunions (got them a half size larger as I do for all boots) - I have average calves and they are the perfect width. Super stylin', tons of compliments..... great purchase.

I love these boots! My husband likes to hum the Superman theme when I wear them because they do have a bit of that feel. But at the same time they are very cool/hip and sexy without being over the top. They are so comfortable too - like sneakers. Only down side is that they are patent leather so be careful of scratches.

Good for wet weather. Non-skid soles. Fit me true to size with tights or thin socks. Very cute and feminine in the cherry color. They look good with pants, since the boot goes to mid calf only and fits snug on the leg, as well as skirts.

With winter socks I would order 1/2 size larger. If winter is not an issue, wear normal to thin socks to order your normal size.

I am short with skinny calves and this boot is a rare find, fits perfectly. It's also quite warm without being bulky. Expensive but worth every penny. I like it so much I bought it in two sizes, so I can wear thick wool socks during the coldest winter months.

Love these boots - they are so comfortable you can walk the city for the day with no problem. Many compliments from friends on how stylish they are! Will be ordering another pair soon.

I absolutely loved this boot from the second I saw it. When I did get it I found it to be loose in the calf and ankle and reminded me of galoshes. I realized I don't have large legs but I didn't think they were so small. They are cute; love the crinkle patent leather, wish it was used more often on other boots. So comfortable. I am trying on other La Canadiennes now, although they did not fit I can tell what a quality, comfy boot it is.

I love patent leather and these boots are cute! I was safe and ordered it in black. My first choice was cherry! Now I need to save to get a second pair in my favorite color. I read the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size larger because of my wide feet and I'm glad I did. They fit well and are very comfortable! These boots are a fashion winner!

Love my cherry crinkle Blanche boots. They fit like a glove, a beautiful glove. I walked for 4 miles the first day and they felt great. I wear them with pants, dresses, jeans. I am sorry that the weather is getting warmer, because these are my favorite shoes. I also have plantar fasciitis, and these feel great on my size 11 feet.
