I cannot say how much I love these boots. They are more comfortable than any pair of shoes, including sneaker, that I have ever had. In fact, for me, they are more comfortable than being barefoot. Putting them on feels great. And I love that they are waterproof!

I have been looking for some dressy boots to wear with skirts and dresses for 10 years, that were comfortable an durable leather. Finally I found these La Canadienne Blanche shoes, and I LOVE them. Finally a boot that I cound find wide enough and with a square toe box that does not pinch! Finally a boot with all that and a circumference to fit my calf! Many boots now have such a large circumference that are far too large for my calf not flattering. These are expensive but worth every penny. I expect to wear them for years. The brown boots sold out so quickly this year. I will be sure to buy some first thing in the fall when the boots come back next year.

Review Text: Great comfortable boots. Perfect for someone with rather thin calves. I am 5'2'' and the height of the boot works for me. I ordered my regular size in EE (wide) even though my feet are not particularly wide (following recommendations from a review), and I'm glad I did. The boots look great and are warm and appear to be waterproof (I have not tested them in heavy rain yet). Very happy with these.

I have difficulties finding shoes and boots that are wide enough for my foot and can fit my orthotics. These boots definitely worked, especially by taking out the removable insert. They have been very comfortable so far.

Thanks to Zappos I was able to find the perfect boot to walk all over Paris. Love La Canadienne brand. This is my third type of boot made by them. Always the most comfortable and I have tried many brands. These are pricey but have always found them to be worth the value because when you love your boots and they are comfortable you can wears them forever. These boots are sure footed, no slipping on wet streets. Wore them all day for 7 days in Paris. True to size, no blisters or sore feet. Love them.

I absolutely love this boot. I bought it in black and red patent leather and practically live in it in the cooler months. It is stylish and yet offers a wide enough toe boot for those of us who can't shove our feet into boots and shoes with a narrower toe boot. The sole is cushy and yet very supportive - it feels as if I am walking on air. I never even notice that I am actually wearing shoes/boots. I wish companies offered more shoe ware that is this stylish and comfortable. This is an extremely comfortable boot and I can wear it all day and night w/ no foot pain. Just wish it came in some other colors such as brown! It's worth every penny and more!

Putting on this shoe just makes me happy. I feel stylish and chic without being over the top. But best of all...they are essentially flat. I could walk forever in them. And they keep my feet warm. I love them.

Love these! I have a large foot and most boots are too wide in the calf. These fit snugly and are very comfortable for walking.

Bought these for a trip with my kids to London. They are so warm and comfortable, I was able to walk the city for 9 days chasing little ones and they are cute enough to wear with tights and a dress. They stretch out a small amount in the first few days so I'm still undecided on the width issue that so many other reviewers mentioned. I own another pair of La Canadienne boots that I have had for 5 years and they wear really well. I love this brand and it's worth every penny with the weatherproofing and comfort.

This is my second pair of La Canadienne boots - the first pair lasted 8 years! They are warm, waterproof, and they look great. Highly recommend!

I looked quite a while at all the LaCanadienne boots available. I chose the Blanche since I am 5'1" and my legs are shorter. The Blanche fit my legs perfectly. I can wear them with skinny jeans tucked in no problem. They contour around my calf perfectly. Some boot heights ran into my knees and/or were too wide at the top. Not the Blanche, they are what I was looking for. I purchased the 5.5 and the B width. I was concerned at first due to the other reviews expressing the wide width is preferable. I did have a concern at first that they might be too tight, but after a few days of wearing the width is not a problem.

LOVED these boots! I can wear them with insoles and thin socks or thick socks and no insoles necessary. They have great arch support, which I'm very picky about, and plenty of room for my toes in the widest size. Even tho they are not very tall, they will look good with skirts because they fit my small ankles and normal-sized calves perfectly. They are not noisy to walk in, which I appreciate, and the soles are thick enough to keep my feet warm in winter. Keepers!

I have been wearing La Canadienne for many years now. I now live outside of North America and ordered these boots knowing that it would not be so simple to return them but confident that they would fit and be comfortable. They came out of the box and onto my feet for a night out. Many shoes pinch my toes on my somewhat wide feet, but these boots, in my size and regular width fit perfectly. They are even more padded than my older La Canadienne boots. A great brand and the Blanche style is very attractive and comfortable.

I love these boots! I wear a variety of boots. Donald Pliner, Stuart Weitzman, Zanotti's and the list goes on. While suffering with foot pain due to a bunion, I was forced to either have surgery or buy wide boots. I chose the latter. As a result, I found myself searching for stylish boots with a D width. I ran across La Canadienne and fell in love. I purchased four pairs, but these are my favorites. They are eye catchers! I bought these boots over two years ago and I am going into my third winter and they look great. Oh, did I mention they are cherry red patent?! I wear them with tights, jeans and leggings. I constantly get compliments on these boots. I tell everybody to go on Zappos and buy these boots. My bunion pain went away and I can wear heels, again, in a regular width but again. These are my favorites for cold, snowy days in Cleveland. One more thing... all Canadienne boots are waterproof which means no salt stains!

Just wore these for the first time yesterday and they are a dream. I was especially excited to see that the insert could be removed readily to accommodate my own orthotic insert I wear for a bunion. I got these is a wide which gives my bunion plenty of room. And they're waterproof! These were a little pricey but well worth the cost since I think I'll be getting a lot of wear out of them this winter.

I can't believe I spent this much money on boots, but it was honestly worth every penny. I did a lot of research before ordering 4 pairs of La Canadienne boots to choose from. Not being a very good planner, the boots all arrived two days before leaving for a 4 day trip to Paris (and the weather was going to be cold and rainy). I decided on Blanche and threw them in my suitcase, hoping they would be as comfortable as other reviewers described. According to my pedometer, I walked an average of 22,000 steps each day I was gone, and while my husband was crying by the end of the 4 days because his feet hurt so badly, I was still walking happy! These boots rock! So comfortable and super cute. The height of the shaft hits mid calf, which I think looks fresh and different. Decorative stitching is fun. I do not regret my purchase, although I am hiding the credit card bill from my old man!

Super comfortable boot, runs a bit small. I recommend upsizing by 1/2 size even if wearing with thin socks. Unfortunately, this particular boot just did not match my style but I am so in love with La Canadienne boots, I had to try them. Although LaCanadienne boots are expensive, they are well worth the price. They make quality, comfortable, and stylish boots! I am sending these back, but probably ordering a different pair of LaCanadienne boots (or 2).

Love these boots. I get compliments all the time. Super comfortable and very stylish. I've worn over skinny jeans, leggings and with casual short skirts. Have some fun with some colorful stockings too. There is great support and is definitely waterproof. I'm happy sloshing. Living in Central New York with a ton of snow and crappy ice (salt) on the streets, it cleans easily. It's also warm.

I had a pair of the cherry patent boots for three years and almost wore them every day in winter. Size 7.5 wide. (I have short wide feet and high instep so I always get boots in 7.5 a size bigger than my 'sandal size'). These are the perfect boots - fit/comfort, function (waterproof), and stylish - casual and dressier. When they developed a crack in the leather where my foot flexes at toes and a crack in the sole at ball of foot I panicked as I could not live without them. I got another pair - actually a 7.5 WW. well something was different and I was disappointed. The calf in this wider size was smaller than the prior boot. And the leather was stiffer. La Canadienne, if you changed you manufacturer -- go back to the one you had 3 or four years ago! I am keeping the boots as they are better than my alternatives. But I've fallen out of love. If the others could be repaired, I would do that -- not sure if that is possible.

I love these boots! They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Some of the reviews advised ordering a half or a full size up but I ordered true to size and they fit perfectly. I tend to have a wider foot too and ordered the regular width. Will order this brand again.

I bought these shoes to walk around in London, so they needed to be comfortable, waterproof and fashionable. While they look pretty good, they are on the more functional side of fashion, but they can't be beat in terms of comfort, so I made that concession. Some say the shiny boot is larger than the regular black leather - I don't know but I'm a 6.5 or 7 in shoes. In Cole Haan, I'm a strict 7. In Merrell or Keens, I'm a 6.5 with room to spare. These are not as roomy as a Merrell, but definitely much roomier than Cole Haan. I ordered both sizes and kept the 6.5. The toe box is square so if you have regular, slightly slim feet, you don't need to worry about room in the front and don't need to go up in size. La Canadienne is a more sleek and narrow brand, which is why I gravitated towards it. I was happy to find these fit my narrow heel, nonexistent ankles and normal calves. If you have wide calves, I don't think this would be the boot for you. The fit is definitely worth the price if you hate baggy ankles and weird gaping on the top of the boot.

The boots are beautiful and have elicited many compliments. I have wide calves and these are a little tight, but I habituate to the feeling quickly. So far they have been perfectly warm and watertight, but I have only had serious snow for a few days. I will probably put in inserts to improve the arch support; but I love the boots.

Nice boot but my calves are slightly muscular and I can not zip them up more than half way. I have to return them.

Loved these boots - so comfy - look super stylish. Wore them all weekend in NYC! They are definitely for a narrow calf though.

These boots are the best and most comfortable boots ever made! I have several pairs by LaCanadienne and I love each one of them! This pair is very cute, stylish and fit so good! You would feel so good wearing them. This is my second pair. I already have one pair of the same boots! This is the brand I will always buy. I have not bought any other brand since I bought my first pair 8 years ago. Once you wear these boots, you would never go back to any other brand! Best boots ever!
