These boots look fabulous with anything and are toasty warm with the liner. I have been waiting to wear these since summer. My calves measure at 15 inches, and they fit just fine over them. Great boots.

I love this boot! The problem is the sole fell apart immediately. I exchanged for a second pair and the same exact thing happened and I had to return again. I really wish they would have worked out, but the sole has major issues. Zappos customer service was awesome- of course.

I purchased my first pair of Blanche in 2008 from Zappos. THey were an amazing pair of shoes, so comfortable I would wear them all day in the house. The sole finally started to fall apart this year. I ordered my 2nd pair January 2018 and disappointed the insole is not of the same quality. They are not as cushioned as my first pair and there is more extra material around the ankles.. just does not fit as well. Will be returning. SUper disappointed. As far as fit, I normally wear a 7 in flats but always buy 1/2 size larger in boots. This applies to the Blanche . Still only room for some thin socks and thin jeans tucked in.

Wonderful boots I would love to have worn. It's only because of my own medical issues that I must return most shoes and boots I try. I would recommend these to anyone else.

Hands down, La Canadienne "Blanche" are some of the best boots I have purchased: comfortable out of the box, stylish, and practical. They look great dressed up or down and, more importantly, they kept my feet warm and dry and easily pack into my backpack carry-on. I agree with other reviewers that these boots are a better fit for those with slim ankles and calves. Usually, boots are a little wide for my petite frame, but these boots fit perfectly.

These boots are incredible! I bought two sizes, and was going to return one, but I love them so much, I am going to exchange the other for the right size, the exact same boot, and color. I got the red, and it is stunning, so comfortable, Love these boots, especially for very arthritic feet, these have been all over Europe, and are on their way again. Water resistant, warm, but not too hot, not bulky, and easily to dress up, or casual! Perfect, perfect, PERFECT! Happy Birthday to ME!

Very comfortable. I got the WW which isn't as wide as it sounds. It's more like a Wide in any other brand because La Canadienne runs small and narrow. The red patent leather is stylish. The boot isn't a proper knee high 00 a few inches lower. I'm a fan. I wish La Canadienne made more styles in WW and I wish they made shoes other than boots. Superior Product.

In case you ever wondered, yes, it is possible to fall in love with a foot. Love at first sight on the website. Then love at first feel again on my foot. I have a pre-bunion situation and neuropathy so finding any shoe...much less a stylish, traffic stopping patent leather pretty shoe has proven impossible...until Blanche. I got the WW width and honestly it isn't that wide. It's what any other brand would call a wide a best. Most shoes are far too narrow and that's why I have these foot problems to begin in. I wish Le Canadienne would make more styles in WW width. (Hint hint).

These boots are beautifully made and the footing is very comfortable. I have to return them because the circumference is too narrow. Luckily I already have another LaCanadienne pair on the way ;)

Happy with this boot! I have multiple foot issues and need orthodics in most shoes and a wide toe bed. I ordered a 7W (my usual size in La Canadienne). Seemed very stiff in front of the ankle and too narrow in the foot and toe area. Very bummed. Ordered 7WW but were too wide. So I retried the 7W without my orthodics while working at my desk. The leather began to soften and the space in the shoe felt roomier. Today I put my orthodics in they were comfortable. Nothing pressed. Also what I like and need is that this boot has stability (need after many sprained ankles and two broken feet). The heel is wide enough not to tip to the side easily. These can be dressed up or down. I have a large calf and they aren't easy to zip all the way up (and they're short). But I expect in time as with my other's they will soften and stretch more. I don't mind wearing them not zipped up all the way for now as long as my feet aren't in pain, look good and keep the rain out, I'm very happy. The leather is beautiful. Thanks to Zappos for accommodating my needs.

Very comfortable boot - cushioned foot bed & roomy toe box. Felt like I could put them on out of the box and wear them all day. Nice and fitted to my calf, which is hard to find in a waterproof boot. I'm sending back this leather pair but keeping the same boot in patent leather, which look more stylish to me than the plain leather.

It KILLS me to have to return these gorgeous boots. The "candy apple red" color is beautiful and looks great dressed up or down. I have fairly slim calves and skinny ankles so they fit perfectly and look really sexy on. I have to return them because of the damn neuropathy in my feet. I'm am envious of the person who gets to own these boots!

Just received these boots and they are beautiful and comfortable. The boxed toe finally accommodates my wide feet but unfortunately, the calf is too narrow so they need to go back. My calves measure 14 inches and I am about 2 inches short of being able to zip them up. Very disappointed. I really wanted these to work.

Love these boots. I have every color. They're comfortable, classy and stylish. The reddish burgundy ones are absolutely beautiful. Love Love Love them. So worth the money. Please note: they run small in width so order a wider size.

What amazing boots! The waterproofing is fabulous. I stepped in a slushy icy puddle that was as deep as the side zipper. No water reached my foot. I wore them for walking all day in New York City and to work on my feet as a teacher. I am an 11 and they fit well. Also, Canadiens are great for skinny calves. If that is your problem, you have found your brand.

I love the look of these boots! They are stylish, comfortable with a tailored look. Overall they appear to be pricey but at the end of the day, it is money well spent due to their quality. I am looking to buy a second pair as I truly can live in these boots due to the comfort, look and style. Be ware that the boots are pretty narrow. You should order your regular/standard boot size but opt for wide.

These are great boots - wonderful quality leather, classy looking boots and oh so comfortable. I am going to return them for a smaller size and narrow width. LaCanadienne boots seem to run narrow. I am sold on the quality of LaCanadienne boots. Waterproof - cannot beat that!

These boots are glorious! They are short enough to look great even on my super-short, muscle-ly legs and they are extremely comfortable and water & skid proof which is very important for Portland rainy winters. BUT, Sadly, the way they are slightly form fitted above the ankle meant that I could not zip them up. Otherwise, everything else seemed great and they looked soooo cool! I don’t know if I am describing this so it makes sense but: If I had about 2" more space between the top of my ankle and the bottom of my calf where leg starts to widen, I'm sure these would have fit, no problem, even around the fullest part of my calf. I bear no grudge. I think the form fit is necessary for the overall fantastic style. My order was 6.5 W based on some reviews about possible narrowness. I'm generally size 6B in shoes but I like my boots to be slightly roomy to allow for sock variations and the 6.5 W worked very well in that sense. I think 6.5 B would have worked too in terms of the super comfortable footbed portion of the boot, and would work with med-weight wool socks. 6 would have been good too although I may have had to stretch it out slightly over time to be roomy enough for my taste with wool socks but I'd certainly be willing to use thin socks or tights. Can't make a full comment on arch support as I did not wear them more than a few minutes due to the zipping issue. sigh. Luckily, Zappos will let me return free and try again!

I love these shoes. I wore them and walked a long way right out of the box. I wish they were slightly tighter on the calf. Very comfy inside and stylish for city wear.

I bought these boots almost five years ago and wear them very often. This is one of my top purchases in terms of return. I have probably spent less than fifty cents a wear. Really. And the red color makes me feel like I am superwoman. City walks, across the campus snow walks, this pair of boots can handle anything. I receive multitude of compliments every time I wear them. Seriously, buy them. You won't regret it.

So far, I love these. They were super comfortable the moment I put them on and I am hoping that the red accent is a great addition to my mainly black winter wardrobe.

I love these boots! I had them for three years, and they were my walking boots. They were super comfortable, I had no problem walking the whole day with them. They were my dependable boots until my recent trip. The rubber sole just got broken to pieces. I brought the boots to a repair shop, and repairing them would cost me almost as much as buying a new pair. It is a bummer since the price was not cheap for me.

I read dozens of reviews before buying almost anything, trying to find the ones that are real, trying to exclude the ones that are paid or employees of the manufacturer. I am a real shopper, if it matters. I bought these boots to wear living in New York City, but for a winter wedding trip to Norway. They are a beautiful as others have written, and because of the heel construction, very comfortable. I have suffered with plantar fasciitis in the past, and these do not require my typical inserts, which is exceptional. The key is obviously the squared toe box, which I will look for in the future. However, what others also said about them being small was also true, and I was pressed for time while shopping and didn't want to risk getting too small a pair without enough time to return and exchange. I am an 8½/9.0 in regular shoes and should definitely purchased at least a 9. I bought an 8½ and they fit fine with only stockings or tights. I wonder if maybe that was the only size left - they are snug on the bridge on my foot, but fit fine everywhere else. It is just that I needed to wear socks because of the terrible cold in New York and gave myself a terrible blister. Not the boot's fault - so be sure to buy at least half a size larger unless you know that you will never wear anything thicker than hose. They are very dressy and I am very happy with the style.

These are super cute and very comfortable, but just too narrow for my "athletic" calves! Bummer

I love these boots and the square toe! Very comfortable and light weight. I am short and the height of these is better on me than the to the knee ones.
