One fine walking shoe! I bought these New Balance Hook and Loop shoes for my husband who has severe back problems and has trouble bending over to tie his shoes. After wearing these shoes for a couple of weeks, he said that he really appreciates the hook and loop feature over the traditional shoe laces. The shoes fit well and they are very attractive. We give the New Balance Hook and Loop walking shoes two thumbs up!

Great shoe, great value- I bought these shoes for one of my patients, who is not capable of tying shoe laces, so velcro was the way to go. Believe me, it has made his life, and his wife's life much easier to handle. There should be more shoes available with velcro for people with disabilities, who have difficulty with dexterity. These shoes fit him great because he has a very wide foot and had a hard time finding a shoe that would fit. Now, NO PROBLEM! His wife is grateful because it saves her from bending down for a long period of time trying to tie his shoes. Thank you for making extra wide shoes, and those with velcro.

Velcro! I have been spoiled by using hook and loop closures on my shoes to the point that is all I will use. These shoes not only have those they are also well constructed and with a simple application of water-proofing, now substitute for most nasty day wear too. I only gave them 4 stars for the industrial look they possess. They are very comfortable and fit will.

New Balance Comfort - Comfort, support, and easy to fasten. Love them!!!

I am hemiplegic and wear an afo. The only type of shoes that I can wear comfortably are New Balance. The velcro strap is a must, the shoe stretches enough to give me decent walking comfort. I’ve been using New Balance for 10 yrs all from zappos and will continue to use.

My husband loves these shoes so much, that he order a pair in bone. They give him great support, and they do not look like athletic shoes. We had originally ordered a larger size, but those did not workout. I had no problem sending them back, accept that my printer did not work when it came time to print the label... So, I had to call in and find out what to do. The young man, a rep, not only talked me through getting my printer going, but letter sent me a note, saying that he was, "glad he could be of service". Can you imagine? Service like that is a thing of the past elsewhere!! Thank you Zappos.

This is my first pair of UGGS since I was a little girl. They are by no means anything like the "old" Uggs I wore when growing up in Michigan. For starters, the lambswool is 100% different. It looks different and feels different. In my old uggs, there is much more wool on the inside and I can't feel the edge of the footbed like I can in the new ones. The extra wool really creates a snuggly warm and supportive boot. I still have my old UGGS (late 1980s) and they look and feel fabulous. I'm debating whether to keep the new Uggs, and I probably will because my old ones are the original tan color.

OUTSTANDING, COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES - This is his third pair of these walking shoes by New Balance. He is hard to fit, with a very wide instep but narrow heel. He also prefers velcro fasteners rather than lace-up, and other walkers that he tried did not tighten enough to stay on the heel well. These are perfect in all aspects and superior in comfort and support.

Great Shoe - I wear very large custom orthotics. These shoes have enough height in the foot box to accommodate the orthotics. They also hold up very well.

Cheap Help - When I ordered these shoes I had no idea that they would be on my doorstep the next morning! I was busy preparing for a party so I only took a quick look at them and tossed them on the bed. By the time I got around to trying them on, someone had already thrown out the packaging! Now what if they don't fit? I don't have the boxes to send them back in? A lot of good that 365 day return policy does me now!!! I sure am glad they fit like they were made just for me. Although it did take them about a half hour to get used to my feet the first time, they do actually FIT! I can't say that about anything that I've bought locally in the past. I'm really glad that I found Zappos. This was my third order, and they've all been great. Fast shipping and perfect fit. Thanks!

First time shopper - So far I have found your service wonderful. The shoes fit very well but I knew they would for I purchased the same shoe at a store. A friend of mine told me about your outfit and I thanked him for it. I hope to continue to order from you. Would you have other casual sneakers that are the same size as the ones I purchased, have long lasting soles and heels and holds your footing on ice? I do a lot of walking. I can't wear laces and less expensive. Joel K

Great shoes - very comfortable - These are great shoes and are very comfortable. I use orthopedic insoles so I was glad that the insoles that came with the shoes were removable. The shoes have great balance and breathe well. I always buy shoes made from man-made materials and these are the best pair I've ever purchased.

I was given these shoes as a gift. I had been unable to find an easy closing shoe that fit my high instep. I liked them so much that I immediately ordered another pair. These are great for seniors who need easy access into their shoes and comfort walking.

Hook and Loop - I like the shoes in every way however if the top loops were a little longer they would be a little easier to hook.

Great with orthotic! This shoe provides excellent support and stability, and works extremely well with my leg/ankle/foot orthotic. Removable insole provides extra depth, and extra width is available as well. My walking endurance and stability are much improved with this shoe.

Gotta love Zappos and New Balance! I not only have wide feet, but had 14 vertebrae fused a few years ago. Shoes are a very big decision for me since it means the difference between lots of pain or very little pain. New Balance shoes are the best. Period. The Physical Therapists I work with wear them and recommend them because they have great support and the MW811 are wonderful. Lots of support on all sides, including below. Great traction as well. The hook and loop make them easy to put on and take off, an additional bonus. This is the second pair of the 811s and I intend to buy a third pair when these wear out. Then a fourth pair, a fifth pair, etc. As for Zappos, what needs to be said? Great prices, free shipping both ways, great customer service, and a wonderful selection of shoes for the whole family. I buy shoes from only two or three places, all on the web - Zappos is my first choice. Their prices can't be beat. I have had occasion to send shoes back because I ordered the wrong size and the customer service was polite, efficient, and very fast. It really is free shipping both ways! I will always check Zappos first when looking for shoes, either casual, athletic, or dress.

Excellent shoe - I agree with the many reviewers who have found this shoe excellent. I have five pairs and all are good. I would really appreciate the same shoe in brown or cordovan color. The black serves for ress-up but the bone and white are "kick back" shoes an I 'd like a brown pair to wear with brown and tan clothing. Any chance?

I Love Shoes - ordered 1/2 size smaller - Because these have such a wonderful orthotic support system (being NB of course!), it took a couple of days of foot soreness (particularly in my arches) to get re-adjusted to a properly fitting shoe. But after that, they are like a second skin on my foot! I did have to return the 9's for an 8.5 - they are so very roomy. I have ordered 4 pairs of these shoes for my husband, mom and dad so we can all go walking together - everyone loves their NB's!!

I love these shoes! Since I lost weight, I have found that I can wear a 2EE width in this style and I still like them very much. They are hard to beat for comfort and I have tried other kinds and styles! I have owned several pairs of them in black and white - keep on making them please!

New Balance - I had purchased a pair of New Balance shoes from another vendor a few years ago. Those were made in China, and while of good quality, the size was not accurately marked. My purchase from Zappos turned out to be made in USA and are accurately sized. I was pleased by Zappos quick response when I returned shoes that did not fit.

Comfortable - The shoe is comfortable and easy to slip off and on. I know my shoe size, the shoes fit as I hoped they would. My order shipped promptly, there were no billing problems.

Best shoes ever - I have a hard time finding shoes that are wide and comfortable. The New Balance MW811 fit and feels great. I will definitely buy another pair.

Happy feet - I ordered these shoes for my husband and was very surprised to get such fast delivery. I have ordered another pair since then and they also arrived VERY quickly. We will order from zappos.com again. How can you go wrong with free shipping both ways?

These are one of the best - My feet are long and narrow, so it is hard for me to walk into a shoe store and purchase anything that will fit me. End up ordering shoes "on line". Believe it or not, I used to wear shoe size AAA until I entered the Army. That size went to an A or narrow size, as you wore what was given you. I still would like to try an AA if I can find shoes that narrow.

This New Balance took a little while to break in they have very good support. I wear them with supports while walking.
