Husband with bad knees bought first pair on recommendation of orthopedic surgeon & wore every day for a year. Eventually wore out and developed a squeak. Second pair has unfortunately developed a squeak after just a few weeks. The shoes help him a lot even though they're not pretty. He won't let me return them.

Good quality shoe. No sensation of walking on springs. Conventional appearance. Cons is the width and sizing which is way to narrow. Get wide width or larger.

This is the second pair of these shoes I have purchased. I like them and buy them because they are very comfortable. The outer sole of these shoes is rather thin, glued on over a thicker part which provides the cushioning and arch support. However, I thought the thinner outer sole wore through before the rest of the shoe was anywhere close to being worn out.

This is originally designed as a walking shoe, but I\'ve been fencing on it for a few years now. This off-design use tends to tear the sole on the inside of the unarmed foot, but a little shoe-goo will help that. Other than that the shoe wears well and keeps my feet happy.

Actually, I ordered these shoes for my nephew who is a pastry chef and stands on his feet for 8-10 hours a day. He's only in his mid 20's and already has knee problems. He truly loves these shoes. They are extremely comfortable, providing excellent cushioning and support. They seem to alleviate much of the knee pain, and they are non-skid (which is a necessity in the kitchen).

These are nicely made shoes that fit well and are quite comfortable. A negative is that they have some sort of metal ring in the soles that attract the attention of airport security and have gotten these shoes bomb-sniffed on my last couple of trips.

First, ordering this shoe was extremely easy even when I ordered the wrong size there was no problem the return was easy and the new shoe arrived within two days. This shoe is the only tennis shoe I can wear and it is comfortable, easy to care for and the support helps align my knees so I walk pain free. The only thing that is a negative is that I wear them everyday and the soles wear down fast and I have to order a new pair every 30 days.

Spira's classic leather in white -
The online web site is easy to use. An Email was sent by Zappos informing me the item was in stock and delivery was on the way. The ordered shoes arrived in a few day's as expected. The shoe's are great, the 13th wonder of the world. I have poor feeling in my feet and they always hurt, while wearing these shoes for hours is a pleasant experience. I would and will buy several other pair of Spira shoes to use in a daily rotation. The cost is a premium price but so were the Nike shox that I wore 90% of the time. When it comes to foot comfort a premium cost is acceptable if it allows me to be more mobile with less pain.

Very helpful for my knees -
I bought these shoes before a trip to China where I wore them every day for two weeks and walked a couple hundred miles on concrete. It was the first time in many years I have not had to take anti-inflammatory medicine for my knees when walking on concrete. I will be wearing Spiras for walking on hard surfaces from now on.

A very comfortable shoe. Perhaps as I wear orthotic inserts I had to return the size 9 and order a 9.5. Zappos free overnight shipping made this very easy, even delivering to a hotel that I happen to be at for 2 weeks.

Better than I expected -
This is my first pair of Spira shoes and I must say they really do feel comfortable when standing or walking. I have other shoes which claim to provide extra cushioning in the heel but these really do it. You can feel the spring action. It's not so much as to be bothersome -- just enough. I was beginning to think there were no comfortable shoes but I was wrong. I agree with some of the other reviews that the shoes run small but this seems to be common for today's athletic styles.

Spira's Classic Leather -
I personally find the Spira Classic shoe good for me although for the amount of money that is charged for them, the support in the shoe should last longer than 2 1/2 - 3 months.

Great shoes, weird size -
Following the advice of previous reviews, I ordered a half size big, but I could not get one width larger so I went for an EE. Nope, too narrow. So I used the free return and re-ordered the EEEE, which turned out to be just right. My size 9, EEEE turned out to be a quarter-inch longer and the same width as my Nike 8.5 running shoes. Past the size issue these shoes do what they say they will. I like them a lot.

These shoes run small -
This is my third pair of these shoes. I liked the previous two pairs, but they always felt a bit too tight. This time I ordered them a half size larger than my normal shoe size and in a wide rather than medium as suggested in some of the earlier reviews. I'm much more satisfied with the fit and comfort after doing so.

Cement floor no longer a problem.
These shoes are not very attractive at all, but they do make it possible to wear for long periods of time n a cement floor without causing foot, leg, or back pain.

This shoe looks and feels good, but it didn't wear very well. It's worn through to the spring after less than a year, which is about half what I would normally expect from a shoe of this type and price range.

A Great Shoe -
This is my second pair of Spiras. I wear orthotics and this shoe is without doubt the best I have found in terms of comfort.

These shoes are very comfortable. I stand on my feet all day as a gym special ed teacher. However, there is a big problem with them. When I started wearing them, I noticed the inside of the soles left dark, rust stains on the soles of my white or gray socks. I fixed the problem by buying thin rubber insoles and new socks, of course. The stains were permanent.

I ordered these for work after seeing them on TV and reading about them. I have a bad knee and back. I also walk for a living. So at 8 weeks old and only wearing them 50-60% of the time they are 80% warn out. One of the springs are making noise and I'm guessing within 2 weeks will be popping out the bottom, and if not the stitching in one spot will be giving me full air conditioning. Usually when I spend 150 on a pair of shoes I expect closer to 4 months from the. Not 2.
But vary comfortable in general and works great with my orthotics.

Not as springy as I expected (not springy for me at all). Too stiff & too heavy for me. Also, could be wrong size, but not sure.

These are mostly comfortable and attractively designed. A seam inside rubs against the front of my big toe. This was true of two pairs, so I am assuming it is inherent in the design of the shoes.

Not worth the price. These are not that great unless they last 3 times longer than comparable shoes and I am a mail carrier using them every day. Not much ventilation. Normal break in period. Look good and feel good but not worth the high price.

These shoes are stiffer than other "ordinary" walking shoes I have. The technology looks great but it doesn't seem to provide any better walking comfort than other shoes. I'm disappointed since I hoped these would be more comfortable than they are. The shoes are comfortable around my foot. The uppers feel great. But, as mentioned, the soles are very hard and provide very little cushioning.

Not sure why the shoe feels bigger than what I am used to wearing (Asics). Disappointed the size is so wrong.

These shoes are very stiff and heavy. They do not flex with the foot (I guess that’s the spring thing) and as a result I took a header while out walking. I saved a long time to buy them, and cannot safely wear them for walking. I am not impressed.
