So far I love this shoe, very supportive and good arch. I had to order a half size smaller. Like the extra cover on the toe.

This is my second pair of Salomon XA Pro 3D. I originally bought this pair for trail running but I found them to be perfect for my job, which requires me to be on my feet and moving for 12 hours at a time. Very comfortable, with room in the toe box that doesn't feel sloppy. Ironically, for my job I had been buying running shoes with lots of cushioning, thinking they would be better on my knees. These, I feel, are more lightly cushioned (but not so much that they feel like the barefoot type shoes)and have been so much better for my knees and back. Of course, they are fabulous running shoes as well.

This is my 4th paid of Salomon shoes. They have good arch support. Good for standing, walking, and great for hiking. The tie is so easy. Once they're tied in the morning I never have to adjust or tighten during the day.

Finding the right athletic shoes is incredibly difficult, even if you have fairly normal feet. In my case, I need a lot of extra arch support and mobility for my toes without compromising a firm, snug fit. Much to my relief, these not only fit my feet perfectly, they have actually improved my athleticism. I use these to play indoor squash and they have been excellent for quick stop-and-start movements and ball-chasing. I could not be happier with a pair of shoes.

Wearing this shoe has allowed me to keep walking despite a very painful bunion. The shoe is comfortable and has excellent overall support characterized by strong arch support that prevents eversion and a removable inner pad that allowed me to place a heel lift underneath. The shoe is also light weight and has a very sleek look for an athletic shoe. I have walked in these for hours and I'm considering another pair.

I am used to the X Wind Pro, which is much airier than the XA Pro 3D. This is more of a winter shoe as it has less mesh. It really holds your foot in place, which is why I think it feels narrower than marked. Overall I love it! And I love Salomon!

Excellent shoe for stability due to the tongue going forward inside the shoe. I have been purchasing these styles since 2012 due to the sole being ergo correct on the back of the shoe. I is low so any neck problems it will not affect, as well as my insoles I purchase for them online that last a long time, (prothotics) from footdocstore.com fit perfectly. They are comfortable as well. I will purchase the black and purple next month before the heel goes out of style since I have hardware in my neck.

These do run a bit larger so make sure to order a half size smaller than you normally wear. The shoe felt amazing fit like a glove, but that was the problem for me. Since the shoe does not have a regular type tongue, one of those all-in-one types, it gave me problems getting the shoes on an off. If you have a wider foot like me, then the shoe will feel a little bit too snug. Other than that, the shoe has fantastic support. Was sorry I had to return them, but they were just too snug for my foot.

Love 'em - Once I got my right size I love 'em! They have great support and I love the no ties! Would definitely buy these on a regular basis for walking!

My new running shoe - I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did not have to order a larger size in these shoes, as I normally would with running shoes. They look great, are very comfortable, and are the only pair out of 4 "motion control" sneaks that I tried that truly made my foot assume a neutral position. They have slightly less padding than I am used to. Not a big deal, just something to accommodate to.

Great Athletic Shoe - I love this shoe. It is so comfortable and looks great too. My feet never hurt in them. I wear them to the gym and walking up and down concrete sidewalks.

Great shoes - I love these shoes, they feel great on my feet and it makes it hard to wear anything else. I already had some from a store purchase so I knew exactly what to order. Zappos had a better selection too.

Excellent shoe and great price - I LOVE this shoe, however, I am going to give them to a friend and order a half size smaller. I always order big because my feet are very wide, but this shoe is true to size and wide enough and snug enough and absolutely comfortable with great cushion. Also the lacing system is addictive. I will probably never buy a lace shoe again. Thank you Zappos!

Favorite shoe - I have found Salomon’s to have the best support out of any other running/walking shoe I have purchased. I have always been extremely pleased with the shoes performance, and I absolutely love the quick lacing system. Salomon's have been my #1 choice since the first pair I bought 5 years ago.

These are the ones! As soon as I eased my aching feet into these very cool kicks I knew my prayers had been answered. They mellowed out my whole body and changed up my mechanics. The support and stability surpasses any other shoe I have ever worn and the state of the art lacing gives the wearer a custom fit. And who else comes up with colors like "autobahn", and "tomcat"? These go both urban and terrain and are going on my feet whenever possible. Forget everything else in my closet!

Salomon's are terrific! I have had several pairs of Salomons which I use for hiking and walking. The general support feels really great to me and the arch support is far superior to other running/walking shoes that I have tried. I am a big fan! I just finished walking a marathon for breast cancer research in my Salomons and didn't get a single blister!

Great comfort and stability - I have bad knees and these shoes are extremely comfortable for walking/cross training. They are good looking and I love the laces "arrangement". They seem a little big, so when I order my next pair I will try to go 1/2 size down.

Great shoe - This is a great shoe- with quick tie laces, no chance of having to stop and tie your shoe. It is monsoon season, so I've been running through small streams and large puddles- and they dry very quickly. No rubbing or chafing. Great for on or off road. Could use a bit more cushioning, but overall a great shoe.

Great shoe for stability - I have always had a problem with my ankles on lateral movements. This sneaker takes care of that problem. It is very comfortable and the lacing system doesn't cause loosening of the laces as you work out. I would recommend this shoe to anyone that has wide feet, pronation problems or someone that performs lots of lateral movements in their workout routine.

They totally rock! These shoes are by far my favorite running shoes! I used to wear the Nike Pegasus editions until I was told by my doctor that I needed shoes with better stability; I was having horrible Shin Splints. No sooner did I purchase these shoes then my runs started being pain free. My run time and bike time have drastically improved as well. The shoes are so lightweight and comfortable! They offer all the right support in all the right places! Not to mention they are stylish and can be worn for running errands or walking about. I highly recommend this as well as any other Salomon product!

Great beginner’s running shoe - Super lightweight and comfortable; great support for my un-trained feet and they're super cool looking. High-arch is really comfortable and the width in the toe-bed is just right. Great shoe!

Great Shoe - My husband loves these shoes and owns 4 pair of them. He got me to try them and I love them too. Great for running, hiking or travel. Good cushion, roomy toe box, nice fitting heel area and the best lacing system ever.

Size - I can't rate the performance because I didn't keep them, but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents about the sizing. I read the comments and ordered a 7.5 -- WAY too big. I wear a 7-7.5 and wear 7.5 in Asics and Adidas running shoes, but these Salomon's were very loose even with thick socks on. Hope this helps!

Light, comfy, easy to put on - I wasn't sure how I'd like the tie-less system, but it's great! I'm always running late for everything, so it works well for me. Very light. I wear them for my mile trek to and from work everyday and they've been comfy from day 1. Based on other's recommendations, I ordered a size down and it's perfect.
