For many years I've bought J&M shoes for both the office and dressy casual. Eventually, you realize you can re-sole these back to nearly perfect condition - and broken in to your feet - and you'll be way happier than than buying others new. I just bought three pair - the cap toe Meltons, oiled leather casuals and slip-on dress shoes. I'm set and my feet feel great. We started my son in his professional career wih J&M's, and he swears by them, too.

Bought the Melton as I was looking for a full leather sole after trying a combination leather-rubber sole that wore prematurely. This shoe was exactly what I was looking for. I had no trouble breaking the shoe in and wore it right away out of the box. The full leather sole is slippery on the carpets in my office but becomes easier to walk in as it breaks in.

I like to dress well when I can, but it's not my normal attire. These shoes feel great and look even better. I try to be thrifty with dress clothes, but I don't like to skimp on shoes. I would suggest to order at least a half size smaller, with the best option of going into the store to get professionally fitted. I bought these online and had to return one pair and order the half size smaller. No regrets at all.

EVERYTHING about this shoe is great! Everything about the brand is great! I bought a pair for my brother-in-law too and he shares my sentiments. I've only worn this pair on a few occasions, but am still gonna get them in another color. This is my shoe!!!!

This has been my favorite dress shoes I've ever worn. My foot slips right in, the sides and top feel great around my foot. I wore the shoe M-F for two years and then on occasion for another 6 years. I re-soled them twice. Buying again in the other colors. I won't have another capped toe; maybe business shoe. They did great.

I really like these shoes. They are very stylish and look good with dress slacks or nice jeans. I wear these shoes for work as well as causal outings. They are not the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, but they are not uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend them if you are standing in one location most of the day.
