Normally wear 10.5 and sometimes 11. This is my second J&M purchase. They all seem to run a bit larger. I wear a size 10 (standard medium width) and it fits perfectly. Break in period is about a week if you wear them every day for work. Once broken in, they are very comfortable. They look great with the classic style and dark Bordeaux color goes with just about any wardrobe. Buy Kelly's Cordovan shoe cream polish for a perfect color match for the Bordeaux (think they also sell a Bordeaux color but haven't tried ). I highly recommend this shoe or any J&M shoe as one of the best quality mid-priced dress footwear you'll find.

Bought for boyfriend who is upgrading his wardrobe, and he loves them. This shoe makes me swoon. These look so sharp, stylish and "boss" with a grey suit. The quality is great, price decent! He got 10 1/2 3W, and they fit his high-instep foot super comfortable. A win!

Great shoe, solid fit and it the size is correct. I have a wide EEE foot and high instep. Shoes are hard to find. Buy more today.

The fit and comfort are excellent. Having a short, wide foot I am wary of shoes that are touted as being wide but cramp my feet. From the start my feet slipped easily into these shoes without the struggle I've experienced with other brands. I agree with the previous reviewer who complained about difficulty lacing the shoes and the tongue being sewn to the instep; however, after repeated wearing these minor problems are no longer bothersome. I am so willing to accept a small inconvenience for the comfort and style of these shoes. And friends have commented on how nice these look on me, I'm unaccustomed to receiving compliments about my footwear!

Ordered one pair and they were a bit large. I ordered another pair and sent the big ones back. No tassel. Within a week or so my card was credited. I really liked the zaps experience. The shoes are great looking and reasonably comfortable. They will be great when broken in.

I purchased these shoes last week, and so far so GREAT!! My main concern was the width, as I originally purchased a alternate brand, but upon receiving the shoes, the width was noticeably and painfully too narrow. I sent those back and ordered these Meltons, and they fit perfectly! So perfect infact that I may be able to lower the length by a whole inch! Which means I will be able to order a wider range of styles in the brand! I fully recommend this brand (Johnston & Murphy) and this style wholeheartedly, especially if you have a foot that demands a wide width shoe.

Softer more supple leather than expected. Reasonably comfortable out of the box but some breaking in is in store. The leather and stiching meet expectations.

These are great shoes. The leather looks great and has a bit of a shine too it. I have worn them for two days now and they seem comfortable even though they haven't been completely broken in yet.

For shoes this fancy, they're still fairly comfortable. The leather is prone to scratches being as shiny as it is. I sent a pair I got from Zappos back because there was a slightly noticeable scratch on the toe of one of them. I can tell I'm going to want to keep these shined well. One kind of odd thing about these shoes is that since they're very pointy, there may be some space in front of your big toe. That was odd to me, but I believe mine fit correctly.

Beautiful shoe! Very elegant. These shoes are very well-built and very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.
