This is the second pair I have owned, the first ones lasted 10 years

I always get compliments.

I am on my third or fourth pair of these shoes. I wear to work and Church while suited up or dressed down to biz casual. The shoes take some break in. But, they become comfortable friends. The stitching and leather hold up quite well - usually 5+ years for me - wearing basically six days week. The leather soles do wear thru. I normally have a shoe cobbler put on a rubber sole when the first sole wears thru. That holds up for the rest of the upper's life. The replacement sole enhance waterproofness of the foot bed and also the traction on smooth surfaces. I tend to wear the outer corner of the heels ... I have the cobbler add heel taps now and gain. If you take reasonable care of these shoes, the leathers stay beautiful. They take polish and buff wonderfully. The airport shoes shine guys love them and I have been whistled over for a shine ..."bring me those J&Ms buddy". I love these shoes. I have a few co-workers who wear them as well - yes we are sales guys. They run nicely through airports, handle cobble stone Munich, and endure the US midwest winters and salt (especially one the rubber sole are on). Parade Gloss Black shoe polish from Kiwi.. polish the heels too. I'm hard on shoe strings in these shoes, find a strong brand and stick with them. Do them a favor .. use shoe trees at night. Enjoy

I have owned a ( pairs ) of johnstonmurphy shoes all my life. Grew up wearing them. My first choice of dress wear for an evening out. The style & comfort ( looks ) my choice always.

These dress shoes are made like a well made boot. Excellent leather and make.

I wear this shoe every day to work -- As a teacher, I am on my feet for about six hours of a ten-hour work day. This shoe is a comfortable as any pair of sneakers. It quickly breaks-in to your foot and has the right combination of cushion and support.

These shoes look great with jeans (business casual look) or a suit(a more formal look). The color of the shoe coordinates well with most everything that I wear. A break in period is needed, as with all new shoes, but very comfortable wearing after that. I would highly recommend these shoes. Can't go wrong.

The Melton cap toe is the perfect shoe for a business environment. It works well with a suit or the typical slacks and a button-down shirt. It is both stylish and comfortable. The rubber heel adds a degree of safety for those wet surfaces! Every man should have a pair in his closet

I enjoy the comfort and style of this shoe. This is the second pair I have owned and purchased. I had my original pair reconditioned 3 times in a 5 year period - that's how much I enjoy this timeless classic. Strongly recommend this to the businessman who enjoys looking stylish, but is conscious of cost.
