I read the reviews and most said to order a couple of sizes down. I called customer service for help in choosing the right size and I order sizes 8 and 7.5 and both where huge. I order again a 6.5N and a 7. The 6.5N fit perfectly. If you are ordering this slipper order at least one full size down. I usually where 7.5 or 8 And with the slipper ended up with 6.5. Great item for the price point.

The shoes are good quality, but huge! I ordered a 6, which is my regular shoe size, but they were so big that I sent them back for a 5. I hope that's not too small, but a ballet shoe should fit your foot like a sock. These were almost an inch too long in the toe and too big in the heel. Hoping I don't need a 5 1/2. Probably should have ordered both to see which fit better. Oh well. Will dance barefoot until then!

Based on the recommendations, I got a size 6, even though I usually wear an 8-9 (8.5 in Reebok). The length is just perfect, though the "medium" width feels baggy. The bow on the front is a drawstring elastic, however, so I think I can make it work. If you have average width feet, maybe go for a slightly narrower size. This is going to work for what I need it for; it's basically a leather-bottomed sock. I like that the elastic helps them stay on. Though I do wish they were sold in a wider variety of colors, the price is quite reasonable so I won't complain because they will do the job.

My daughter wears a 2.5 or 3 in street shoes, and the 4 in this Bloch ballet shoe fits too big.

It would be helpful to have the actual measurements of the length by size on this item. Dance shoes are very difficult to fit. My daughter is a size 3.5 in kids shoes and has outgrown the size options in your kids Bloch dance shoes. Once I converted her to an adult shoe size and then sized down per the review, I landed on a 3.5 in this dance shoe. They were at least 1/2" too long in the toe. I'm hoping I guessed right by going down to size 3 on the new order I placed.

This is well made and by all appearances a comfortable ballet shoe, but the sizing is not standard. Follow Zappos recommendation to order 3 sizes down from your regular shoe size. I followed one of the “most helpful” reviews in which the person said they ordered their daughter’s regular shoe size. These were huge and unfortunately she started ballet the following day so she had to go barefoot for her first class. A little embarrassing. So if you want them to fit correctly, Zappos knows what they’re talking about, follow their advice.

I wear a 7.5 in regular shoes; the 6D fit in this slipper. I'm not a dancer. I wear these to work. I am embracing a barefoot lifestyle, and these fill the bill and look cute.

I wear a 9.5 wide in street shoes, and purchased the recommended size 7.5 D. They fit perfectly.

Classic, leather, full-soled ballet shoe. I got these to practice in at home after being told the full sole works the foot harder than the spilt sole. (I also love the Bloch Zenith, so I get the best of both worlds!). I wear a 9 in street shoes and got the 6; they fit well, and even better as I continued to wear them.

Felt two size large and felt too wide. Purchased size 5, and I think I’ll be needing a 3 or 3.5. Fabric is soft and the quality is evident.

My daughter takes four classical ballet classes per week and has worn these very often and they have held up beautifully.

I'm a lifetime dancer, and I've purchased and re-purcahsed Bloch shoes. There excellent shoes and good quality.

I did as the others had suggested and got two sizes smaller than my normal shoe size.This is an excellent piece of advice as the shoe fit really well. In got the medium width which was a little wider than my foot but since the shoes are adjustable this worked out perfect as I can just tighten then around my feet.

I absolutely love these! I ordered a 5.5, normally wear a 7, and they are a perfect fit! I'm already looking so I can buy 1 of every color. They are perfect !

The colour of the slippers are true to photo, but beware of the size I normally wear 7.5 in street shoes, I bought 2 sizes down, 5.5 and it fitted just perfectly.

Great shoe at a great price. If you order a 1/2 size to big the shoe can be tightened to fit. I ordered 1/2 size larger than my daughter's street shoe size and they fit perfectly.

If you want leather ballet slippers for a serious ballet class, these are probably the least expensive choice. Follow the ordering instructions and order 3 sizes down from your street shoe size, or at least 2.5 sizes down. My regular shoe size is 7.5W or 8W, depending on the brand. I ordered 5E in this ballet slipper, and it fits perfectly for ballet class. If you plan to use these slippers for something other than ballet class, you might not want them that snug. I was pleasantly surprised when the slippers arrived with the elastics already sewn in, saving me the job of sewing them in.

Warning: these run big! I didn't really believe the other reviews, not having danced a day of my life. My daughter wears a size 7.5/8 with a moderately wide width and so I ordered the 6. It was clown-big. I exchanged it for a 5.5 - it was still floppy. I exchanged that for a 5 and she still has 1/4" or so over her big toe. We're keeping them as her dance is required for gymnastics rather than ballet school. They'll work...and they are well-made beauties!

We have always purchased this brand and style for my girls' ballet class. We feel that they run half a size smaller than their street shoes for some reason so we normally size up a bit.

I have wide feet and was between getting the D (Wide) and EE (Extra Wide) width. I found the D width to still be a bit tight around my bunions, so I went with the EE and had no problems during my first wear in ballet class. I also followed other reviewers' suggestions to size down 2.5 sizes. I usually wear a 7.5W street shoe, and found that the 5EE for this ballet shoe fit well for me.

Super! For my daughter, she wears a 6/6.5 in street shoes, so we got a 4.5 and they fit great. Good quality and good price.

I bought these to wear at home as slippers. They're devine. I am a street shoe US 10.5 W and bought these in an 8 in the widest width available.

These ballet shoes are perfect! The color and quality of leather is so much nicer than the ones Payless shoes offers. And at almost half the cost! I am uber pleased with this purchase and I highly recommend. Also, follow the advice on how to order the size. It's pretty accurate.

I bought these shoes for my daughter and I am very happy with the quality. The leather is very soft and comfortable. I bought my daughter's exact shoe size and they fit wonderfully.
