Surprisingly pleased with this Brooks shoe - This is, apparently, a revision of the previous Addiction Walker. I have had several pairs in the past. I ordered a previous "update" and was totally unhappy with the shoes and sent them back. So when I took this shoe out of the box, tried them briefly, decided to keep them and then wore them on a walking vacation successfully, I was thrilled! I have an extremely narrow foot--AAAA. It is nearly impossible to find a shoe that is narrow enough, has enough support for my very weak feet, and will accommodate an orthotic. So far these have met the test. They actually seem to have a better fit than the Addiction Walker of about 3 years ago. I really can't assess the amount of arch support accurately because I remove the insert and use my prescription orthotics.

I love Zappos! Due to very arthritic feet, I must wear orthotics. This shoe has been the best so far to accommodate my feet and the orthotics.

Great shoe! I am a former runner (total hip replacement last year cured that!) who now golfs. Rather than use a cart, I walk the course. I had been using my Brooks Adrenaline running shoes (traditional golf shoes just do not work well for me when I walk so much) until I decided to try this shoe and am I ever glad I did! I took them out of the box and immediately wore them to play 18 holes last night. What support, what comfort! And they look good on the course, too! No break-in time whatsoever. I recommend this shoe for anyone who is on their feet a lot.

Comfortable shoe - I bought these for nursing school and my feet are comfortable after a long day (when I hear many others complaining). It's nice they look a bit more like an athletic shoe than most all-white 'nursing' shoes, but are rather bulky. Overall I'm happy with these and would purchase them again.

Buying made easy - I love this walking shoe and buying them here is so easy. I know the fit and size to order and it takes a second to complete. Return postage is one of the reasons I buy here. Never been disappointed with these shoes.

Cushion walking - This is my second pair this year in white and I have a black pair. I first saw Brooks shoes at Zappos and have been buying them ever since. After going all last summer in support less flip flops I have plantar fasciitis and this shoe is easy to switch out for my prescribed insole. The walk is stable and cushiony and it's a nice looking shoe that works for my narrow feet.

"Support and comfort" I have wide feet and also need lots of support. This shoe is great for working out and just walking around. It's very comfortable. Lots of support and cushioning!

A Great Shoe! Zappos, you are great! Your team is professional...BAR NONE! I have been searching for a good sturdy walking shoe for 3 months. I wear a 5 and all the stores keep trying to put me in a 6 or (when they have it) a 5 1/2. I purchased 3 pairs of New Balance to try. The one I kept, I wore it twice and there was a "bar" across the toes that dug into the top of my foot. I called Zappos and you graciously agreed to accept them back, even though I wore them. Also, without charging my CC, I was able to purchase 3 additional pairs including the Brooks Addiction. Voila! Eureka! They fit…with lots of support. Thank you Zappos team. I have been shopping with you for about 2 years now and will only buy from you. Exceptional customer service is your trademark…and you have the best team that supports that. Many thanks!

Super Sneaker - This shoe is very nice. I have very flat feet and it has great structure. The arch support was not high enough for me, but the shoe does accommodate orthotics easily.

White Brooks Addiction Walker - I received the shoes overnight as promised and am very pleased with the look and fit. It is a much stiffer shoe than the Brooks Addiction Running shoe I am accustomed to and therefore not quite as comfortable. I assume this will improve once the shoe breaks in. I still wear my Runners for workouts; I purchased this shoe more for style (in solid white it looks better with Capri Pants than a running shoe does). A good alternative for those of you that can't wear sandals/need arches/a stable shoe (great for those of you that pronate).

Brooks Addiction Walker - This is my 3rd pair of Brooks Addiction Walker. I have been ordering them from Zappos for 3 years now and I love their service and quality. The shoe is worn every day for walks from 1 - 15 miles. I love them and I love Zappos. The wide width works well with the orthotics I wear.

My "wear everyday" shoes - I am on my feet a lot so these shoes are perfect. I can fit my orthotics in very easily and these shoes give me tremendous support. I'm sure that in the winter, I'll be back for a black pair. Only wish they came in more colors!

A shoe that fits - I like this shoe - it is true to size and fits my hard to fit and sometimes painful feet. I replaced the insole with a more cushioned gel insole. It is a little narrower than other walking shoes I have tried. Otherwise it is a real find for me. And Zappos service is great.

Definitely a great sneaker!! I have an extremely high arch & my feet always hurt when I walk. I walked with these sneakers the other day & they were great. I felt absolutely no pressure anywhere on the bottoms of my feet. It felt great to be able to walk without pain. I would definitely recommend these sneakers to anyone. The leather is soft & they look good.

Stable, non-slip, roomy - I got the Brooks Addiction Walker to replace a pair of Rockports I got for Christmas. (It only took four months to destroy those doing kitchen work!) They are not pretty, but they are roomy even with orthotics and the shape of the sole makes them very stable. So far, I like them a lot.

Great shoes for Arch Support - This is my second pair of these shoes. I wear custom arch supports and they work great. My foot doctor recommended my first pair but it took awhile to find and order them. Now that they have them at Zappos I can get them quicker and cheaper.

Shoe of Perfection - This is exactly what I was looking for excellent comfort, perfect fit, very cushioning. I spend all day on my feet at work.

Best walking shoe I've ever had - I visited an orthopedic surgeon to talk about various foot pains. One of the things he recommended was a walking shoe by Brooks. He actually had a Brooks shoe in his office and compared it to my shoe by twisting both. The Brooks shoe was much firmer. Now that I’ve worn the Brooks Addiction for a month, I’m able to say my feet are in better shape than they have been in years. Thanks to Zappos return policy, I was able to try several styles and sizes. I found that the Brooks shoes run ½ size small.

Best shoe for people who have OA in their feet - I have osteoarthritis in my feet, especially on the dorsal (top) of the feet & also in the toe joints. Because of this every step I take causes pain. I wear orthotics, but they really do not help. I have tried all kinds of shoes including Drew & PW Minor which are orthopedic shoes, but they do not help ease the pain. I recently bought a pair of Soft Spot Marathon shoes which are pretty good, but they are not supportive enough & my knees hurt after I where them awhile. In the past I found Brooks Addiction walkers to be the best shoe for me, so I ordered a new pair. They were delivered to me the next morning. I put them on and felt immediate relief of the pain. These shoes are very supportive & have an excellent arch. There is no foot pain when walking for a long distance. The toe box is wide to accommodate my bunions. The only thing I am going to change is the shoe laces which are a little short. Also the shoe is true to size. Once again, thank-you Zappos for allowing me to try so may different shoes, delivering them in one day & not charging for shipping either way & also for being so fast at crediting my charge account for the shoes I return.

Happy with Brooks - A very comfortable shoe. I wear orthotics and the shoe can have the insole removed for the orthotics use. A little high just in front of the ankle, but you can adjust to it. After I got the black ones, I ordered the same shoe in white. Never have I worked with a company which knows the meaning of "customer service" like Zappos. I tried two sizes of shoes without being charged twice and was trusted to return the unwanted shoes in a timely manner. I will keep your site bookmarked and am telling everyone about it.

You need an engineering degree to understand the technology - I returned the 8 1/2 for a 9 to get the proper fit. One of my ankles is degenerative from an accident, so I was looking for a supple leather that wouldn't irritate it. This shoe fits that bill. I also have inward pronation of both feet. The medial support works. It does keep me from pronating. The midsole cushioning is lightweight and effective when you walk. The heel cushioning is very comfortable. The arch support is excellent, and it raises my foot so much that I have to keep the laces looser to keep the tongue area more comfortable. The shoe laces are too short. The fabric that lines the inside peels a lot. The toe area is roomy for the normal width. The look of the leather is grainy and of high quality. This product is very well constructed; I look forward to walking more often now that I found the correct walking shoe.

Great shoe for hard o fit feet - I have a wide foot and narrow heel as well as orthodics. The shoe is fits great.

This shoe was comfortable from the moment I put it on. Didn't have to break it in. I bought it over others because it came in an 11.5 AA (a hard to find size), and it had removable insoles so I could put my own arch support in,

Excellent shoe - I bought this shoe for my fiancé as she is a nurse and is on her feet all day. Shoes she has been buying do not hold up. She is highly satisfied with this shoe and I will buy another pair this summer for her daughter because the quality and comfort is excellent along with appearance.

Fits Just right – Very, Very comfortable. I was having real problem to find the right shoe. I came across your website and after reading the reviews on Brooks Addiction Walker, decided to try. This is the first most comfortable shoe that I came across. I love these shoes. Tried to order another pair, but was not in stock. I love prompt delivery from Zappos.
