Great walking shoe for wide feet - My favorite New Balance shoe. Love it for moderate to intense walking. Very comfortable shoe. No breaking in needed. Lightweight yet sturdy. Wide toe box but doesn't slip off my heel. The insole is removable for anyone with an orthotic. Easy to keep clean.

Happy - I am very happy to have found a shoe to keep my feet comfortable throughout a long day on my feet.

A consistently great shoe! This is the 3rd pair of these I have owned. When one pair wears out, I order another! They are very comfortable with plenty of toe room. I usually wear a 7 1/2 N, but found I needed a half-size larger in order to wear socks with them. A sportier look might be nice, but I've not found the same comfort level in other styles at a comparable price.

Buy them for comfort, not for looks - These shoes are extremely comfortable and the support is great. However, they aren't for you if you are looking for style. They actually look fine with long pants, but not with shorts or cropped pants. But do yourself a favor and forgo style and treat yourself to the comfort of this shoe!

Wider than I thought - Sneaker is very light weight and comfortable. I usually wear a wide shoe, but this sneaker is wider and a bit longer than my regular size. I would recommend this sneaker. The looks are okay, the comfort is great. You don't realize how soothing they are until an all day of wearing them and you remember it is time to take them off.

New Balance WW811 - I have been buying this style of New Balance for several years. I wear them to do my job as a hairstylist. They fit well, they hold up well, and they're the most comfortable work shoes I've worn. The only complaint that I have is that they're not made from genuine leather. Sometimes my feet feel cold while I'm wearing them and I think if they were made out of leather, that wouldn't happen... one shouldn't have to pay this much for vinyl shoes!

Great everyday "comfort" shoe! I was a fan of the New Balance 810 (replaced by the 811). This shoe isn't quite as comfortable as the 810 was. The sole of this shoe doesn't seem to be as "cushy" as it was with the 810. It is still a comfortable shoe. The reason I like this shoe is because it comes in wide widths that accommodate the human foot the way a pair of shoes should. The type of foot problems I have developed over time are all due to wearing "the norm" in footwear. I am an average sized person with a narrow heel and the wide New Balance shoes fit the true shape of my feet (narrow in back and room to spread out in the front). These are also a nice looking shoe on. I do wish New Balance would add a leather choice in this shoe as well. A nice neutral shade of tan would be wonderful! More shoe companies should offer wide shoes for the average sized build. Most extra wide shoes available in stores aren't truely extra wide. Most extra wide width shoes available on line are designed strictly for individuals who also need extra deep depth in the toebox area as well as an extra wide heel area. Keep it up New Balance! My feet are counting on it. By the way... THANK YOU ZAPPOS! Your policies and service are unbeatable. There's no better place to buy shoes!

I have a lot of difficulty finding comfortable shoes. These seem good, with a wide enough toe box, but they do not have a very well padded sole. I am trying some silicone inserts to provide sole comfort.

Fairly Well Balanced - Sole cushioning is firm, but supportive. The shoe seems to be almost flat front-to-back (in most shoes, the heel is a little higher off the ground). A little different from what I'm used to, but comfortable for walking and standing. Non-constricting toebox, yet they don't make a size 9 look big. My husband even remarked that they looked "pretty snazzy," before the dog started dancing on them with his muddy feet. Shoes wipe clean pretty well/easily. Note that this was "snazzy" compared to my usual ratty sneakers, so don't get your hopes TOO high. ;-) I like that they come in black rather than the typical girly white, pink, etc. And made in the USA, yeah!

I wish it came in leather - My orthotics fit right in. The size was perfect, 8.5 AAAA, but after wearing them all day my feet seem to sweat and feel like they are getting blisters because of the manmade material that they are made of. I wish they were made of leather. I have to give them at least 4 stars because of their fit and looks.

Comfy feet - I found myself needing a wider shoe as I'm getting older. These have a nice big toe box with wiggle room. The sole is a little stiff. I'm also heavy and needed a little more cushion, so I added a comfort gel insole. There was plenty of room for it in the depth of the shoe. Looks good for this type of shoe.

So sad! The shoe had a nice roomy toe box. Unfortunately they had to go back because my heels kept slipping out as I walked--and it was even worse with my orthotics.

Very comfortable shoe with support.

New Balances - I had bought these previously, so I knew what I was getting. However, by themselves, they do not have enough arch support for me. If you need arch support, then also get some kind of insole or orthotic.

Comfort and support for a narrow foot - I have ordered this shoe before, and am still amazed I can receive a narrow shoe that fits this well. The only distraction is that the shoelaces are much, much too long. I usually purchase new, shorter laces, but have also cut the center of each lace and tied a new knot for a closer fitting lace.

My old pair of WW811, size 12AA, has served me as a comfortable walking shoe, but I never liked the way it looked because those shoes are wider than my actual 12AAAA size. I had to pull the strings tight to close the center all the way over the tongue and the strings nearly into each other. So I ordered a new pair in my actual 12AAAA size. When comparing the bottoms of the two pairs, I can easily see they are exactly the same width obviously built on lasts of the same size. The difference might be that there is more space over the tongue on the "narrower" shoe and I won't have to pull the two sides completely closed. There is still the little pleat on the toe end of the shoe at the base of the tongue because the shoe is really a double A and too wide. I'm thinking of ordering another pair in 12AAAA from another company to see if this shoe might be built on a last in an actual super slim size. But shipping costs give me pause, so the other option is to settle for this new pair which I'm sure would serve me well if I'm willing to put up with the tell-tale pleat. SAS shoes ARE built on actual-size lasts and do fit better. As you know, however, Zappos service can't be beat!

Good fit as always with NB - The NB 811 fits just as well as the old 800 and it is good to know each time it’s upgraded it feels just as sturdy and comfortable as ever.

They look like nurse shoes - I'm semi-happy with this purchase. They look like nurse shoes, and are a tad uncomfortable when walking downhill.

Walking - I like the appearance of this shoe. However, it is not as comfortable as some other New Balance shoes that I own. I am still trying to figure out if I will keep this shoe. I wear orthotics and I need to try them with other socks...My big toe brushes the top of the shoe and this is probably caused by the orthotics, so the "jury" is still out for me...

A good walking shoe. I was amazed and pleased at how quickly I received the shoes after submitting my order. The shoes are very comfortable. I ordered size 11 4A. The fit is fine except that the toe was a little wide. I inserted a cushion in the forefoot of the shoe which helped with that problem. I have a very long narrow foot and have difficulty finding shoes that fit me. I am very pleased that Zappos carry many sizes and will continue to shop for shoes with them.

Comfy shoe has frumpy look - The shoe fit perfectly and performed as advertised. Unfortunately the look is a bit frumpy, too squarish and clunky. Still I walked for hours on cobblestone streets in perfect comfort. Who cares about clunky?

New Balance WW811 a good standby - I have worn this shoe before and went back to it primarily because my left hip and right knee were hurting and I thought it might be because I tried to get too many miles out of my current shoes. I figured the New Balance WW811 was a good stable walking shoe and I looked forward to the "excellent arch support." My knee does seem to be better, but the arch support was not as terrific as I had remembered or expected. I think I will try something else next time around, but this is always a good standby.

Soft Walking Shoe - Easy and comfortable walking shoe. I wear an orthotic support in my shoes and this one was an easy fit with the device.

A little orthopedic looking, but comfy - I wore these shoes regularly when I worked 8+ hours a day (in a retail job) five days a week, and I just purchased another pair for a planned trip which will involve a lot of walking. These shoes will support your feet all day, but I wish they looked a little more stylish.

Nice walking shoe - I like the look of the shoes and they are well cushioned. My only complaint: heel is wide and not quite deep enough to accommodate my orthotic. By the time I have the orthotic in, my foot sits too high to feel secure… and the heel slips up and down. Nice roomy toe box.
