Other New Balance Styles didn't fit--try this one! I almost passed on this shoe because other New Balance Styles that I have tried had proven to be too Narrow in the forefoot. Plus, they had too much stitching to cause bunion pain. In desperation, I decided to try this one and the minute I took it out of the box, I knew I had a winnner. It is soft and supple and there is wiggle room for my toes. Since I have one size 6 1/2 foot and one size 6 foot nothing is going to be perfect and I will have to pad the heel on the size 6 foot to keep it from slipping. However, if your feet are the same size - this shoe has a nice snug heel with room in the toes. I wear a 4EEEE and I am keeping this pair. Also, on other New Balances, I found the shoe laces to be too short. The shoe laces are fine on this one. I wish they had more cushioning in the sole, but just having something I can wear is a real relief. Good Luck! Some of us really need it to find a pair of shoes.

Excellent shoe - My feet are crippled from a disease (charcot-marie tooth). My feet are small and very wide (7eeee). I have had surgery 2 times on my right foot. I go to the podiatrist every 4-6 weeks to have my callus' trimmed. They are very painful. I walk my shoe over very very bad. The row bar in these shoes have helped so much. These shoes have been a god senD. Please tell the New Balance people not to change any thing about these shoes.

WONDERFUL! I recently had foot surgery and all of my shoes were so uncomfortable. I bought this shoe in a half size larger and a wide width.These shoes are wonderful!!! I'm a teacher and I'm on my feet all day. These are the best walking shoes!

Great for Narrow Feet! I have narrow feet, especially in the heels, and it's always difficult to find shoes that fit. When the heels are narrow enough, usually my toes and uncomfortably squeezed. These shoes are terrific for feet like mine--they're narrow in the heels (in the AA size) but wide enough in the front. I can wiggle my toes again! The lacing system also helps--there is a double eyelet at the top for cross-over lacing, and it's even reinforced with plastic so it won't tear (Even some other New Balance shoes don't have that feature). I love these shoes! I tried the 810, but they weren't as comfortable (I got cramps in my arches after standing a long time) so there is some difference between the two models.

A Comfortable Shoe - This shoe is lighter in weight than another style of New Balance that I had previously purchased. Comes in the very wide width that I need, but isn't as bulky in appearance or feel. My podiatrist has suggested New Balance in a style 900 or higher. Decided to try this pair in an 800 series. Actually like this pair better...not quite as ugly and not as heavy as the 900s.

Fantastic Walking Shoes - As someone who need correction for pronation, I checked out all the brands of walking shoes that would be appropriate...these shoes are just great. They are very comfortable, extremely well made, very attractive for this type of shoe, and really do the job.

Shoe Review - The shoe is comfortable, no break in period required, and supportive. Would like to see it with velcro closure instead of laces.

New Balance 811 shoe - I wore the WW810 shoe last year to teach in since I am on my feet and walking all day. I had been having trouble with my left arch, knee (that I injured skiing years ago), and hip. When I started wearing the 810, my arch felt much better, and my hip quit hurting. I just got the WW811's to replace the 810's. The New Balance store had told me that the 811's were their updated 810's. I haven't had a chance to wear them yet (saving them for the new school year), but I can tell you that they should be as comfortable and helpful as the 810's are. I will never go back to another kind of sport shoe.

Great Shoes! It's a joy to find a pair of shoes properly sized, comfortable, and made in the USA! I'm tempted to buy another pair, now that they've come out with a velcro closure, just to get through airport security faster. . .

I really like the shoe, but I wish I could buy it with a leather upper.

I have feet that are hard to fit. This shoe fits well, is comfortable and looks good. I have ordered many shoes from Zappos as it saves me hours from physically running around. I love their service!

These shoes are very comfortable to wear and go walking in. I have arthritis in my toes very bad and the bar support helps keep my toes from bending too much when I walk.

I bought this shoe after trying to get my old standby NB511. The 811 is true to size. Although the toe base and heel are a little too wide for me. My orthotic fits but squeaks in the heel.

I work at a supermarket and I'm on my feet for sometimes 12 hours a day. These are great.

This shoe was true to width and size. It is a good walking shoe; however, I had to use a additional temporary orthotic in it to get more cushioning. I was pleased it had enough depth to accommodate it.

It's hard to find wide sizes for women in the stores locally. Zappos has been able to provide comfortable fitting shoes for me.The Zappos folks are very, very helpful. It's such a pleasure getting to talk to real, knowledgeable people people these days when you have a question or concern. The fast, free shipping provided is outstanding.We will continue buying our footwear at Zappos.

It is taking a lot longer than usual for this shoe to feel comfy. Initially I got blisters near stitching in the front of the shoe.

A good walking shoe. Sightly wider toe box than most. Not the most stylish shoe but very comfortable.

This is a good shoe, but it took awhile to break in for comfort. I have a pair of New Balance 927 that I was able to wear with no break in period. After the initial break in period the 811 is comfortable and supportive.

I bought these shoes because they are made in the USA! Also because they come in wides and support breast cancer. My only problem with these shoes are that within a week the inside heel area wore out! That is not right. I would buy them again, just because they are made in the USA!

My podiatrist recommended motion control shoes to help my knee pain. These shoes fit me really well and are so comfortable that I immediately bought a second pair. \r\n\r\nAs for looks, they are boring. I wish they came in different colors.

I’ve had four or five pair of this shoe. My feet feel fine at the end of the day. The shoes are not pretty, but do the job. I need to use an insert with any shoe. The last few pair have done some squeaking. I plan to continue ordering this shoe because it is the only one that works for me.

These shoes are very comfortable on my wide, high arch feet. I often buy athletic shoes a half size larger to accommodate heavy socks, but I wear the same size in these shoes and dress shoes. Cushioning under the ball of the foot isn’t great, so I wouldn’t wear these for running or jumping without an additional cushion insert.

I just wanted to replace worn out shoes with the same thing, so I knew what I wanted. It was fast and easy. Cheaper than the New Balance store at the local mall, and a lot less hassle. Delivered to my door. Easier and cheaper than going to the retail stores. Nice shopping experience. I will try them when I need work shoes.
