Less Pain Walking - My doctor recommended these shoes for a severe foot problem I really didn't think, at first, that I could even wear them, but after about ten days they were fairly comfortable and I realized that I was walking better and with less pain.

Recommended by my podiatrist - I am wearing this shoe every day to walk the dog, cook, etc., and am experiencing no pain. It is easy to remove the inset to add an orthotic. Also, it looks unobtrusive and neat so I don't feel funny wearing it out.

I have a very narrow and hard to fit foot. It is so nice to find a place where I can purchase a shoe that is stylish and fits my foot. I also have to wear custom arch supports and it is also nice to have a shoe they fit in properly. This is my second pair of this shoe and they wear very well and are reasonably priced for a foot like mine. Thank you.

Shoes are very comfortable. This is my second pairs of New Balance shoes, and will certainly buy more in the future.

Very Happy - I have a wide and large foot. This shoe is one of the most comfortable I have ever worn. I can be on my feet nearly all day long wearing this shoe and my feet won't hurt me at the end of the day. It is very durable and, while not the snazziest looking shoe, I give it five stars for comfort!

Great Shoes - Great for walking. Solid, I keep buying them over and over. I have to put special orthotics in them, but I can do so in the narrow shoe size which is my normal fit.

I don't understand all the reviews saying excellent arch support. I had been wearing a New Balance 816 shoe that was heaven. I tried this and in 3 days my feet were hurting so bad I couldn’t walk on them. I could tell there was almost no arch support. Yet even I don't know why. Normally I like NB, but I was very disappointed in this shoe. I have really bad plantar fasciitis and this shoe didn't help.

New Balance Shoes - I have been wearing a much more expensive shoe, but have found this New Balance shoe works just fine for me. I have a short wide foot and cannot usually find a good fit, but these do. I would definitely buy them again.

Heaven - Feel like slippers, give great support, don't look so athletic that I cannot wear them waiting tables (volunteer job) or serving buffets. Always am pleased with New Balance.

Excellent for over-pronators - I have severe overpronation especially in my left foot. I've tried various shoes and they didn't give me the support I needed. Recently, I ordered and returned two pairs of shoes before coming across these. These are perfect. The bonus is they also look good. Zappos is a great company that I will use all the time for my shoe buying needs.

Extremely Comfortable - This shoe fits true to size and is so comfortable. I especially like how it hugs the back of the ankle, giving more support than other shoes do. Great cushion for walking. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone with a bad back and bad feet. My feet feel "happy." :-)

If you need custom orthotics, you need these to put them in - I have arthritis in my feet (I am only 48 years old) and need to wear custom orthotics. These are a bit clunky, but the orthotics fit in them like a glove, and they provide the support you need and only bend where the foot Doctor says they should. I say they have no arch support (as they come in the box) but they accommodated the orthotics great and then have the support I need.

Love these shoes - This is my second pair of NB 811s. They run true to shoe size unlike most sneakers that you need to buy larger. They are so comfortable right from day one. The extra width helps keep both bunion and hammertoe comfortable. The heel is not too wide as with most wide shoes. Great shoe and I will be buying them again in the future. Also, my podiatrist thinks they give great fit and support for me and several of his other patients.

Five Stars All the Way - I bought these shoes in white for work at the hospital. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned (including the custom fitted ones I paid $650.00 for a few years ago). The customer reviews helped me pick the style and size. I have a hard time finding a shoe that is low enough in the back not to rub my ankles raw, and that has a wide enough toe box. Also, my right foot is a size and a half smaller than my left. The WW811 doesn't pinch my toes or rub my ankles. I usually buy a half size larger to get a wide enough shoe, but when I order these again I will order my true size. Meanwhile, I put some thin foam insoles in and put on my thick work socks, and the size 8 is fine. Don't buy these to look stylish, the toebox is very wide and that is not something women are used to. But they are very solid and professional looking for work shoes. I used to hate shoe shopping. I could go to every store in the mall and come home totally frustrated with nothing. I never imagined I could order shoes online, without trying on 50 different styles and get something that fits this well. And I am always surprised at how fast my order gets here. Zappos, you have changed my life! Who knows? I just may be able to have more than two pair of shoes at the same time that actually fit!

Good shoes - I like New Balance. I have chronic Achilles tendonitis with a bulge in the back of my ankle. I cannot wear shoes with a very high back. These look good and are comfortable when I work as I'm on my feet for six hours at a time. New Balance was recommended by my Dr.

Travel Companion - I have traveled all over the world and this is the only walking shoe I will wear. The size is true and my feet feel fine at the end of the day. My only complaint is the black does not come in a narrow enough width for me.

Shoe is a good value. With the exception that it slipped a little in the heel (front part of my foot wider than my heel ration), it is a comfortable, nice looking shoe. However, what impressed me the most was how quickly Zappos got the shoe to me.

Shoes for life - I have a narrow, long foot and have always had difficulties finding shoes, any shoes, that fit. Fortunately for me the New Balance 811s are perfect. They fit and support my foot all day long - walking the dog, shopping, running up and down the stairs. A great overall shoe.

The almost perfect shoe! I have not found a shoe that fits better or that offers more comfort than this New Balance sneaker. The only disappointment is that it is not made of leather, but is made of man made material. Even though, it is easy to clean and the white pair I own has maintained a good appearance with regular cleaning.

Great fit in a wide shoe - I have a high arch as well as a wide (EE) foot. This is very comfortable. In fact, I have 3 pairs - one for walking in the park, one for my workout place, and one for casual Fridays at work.

A 4 and 1/2 comfort shoe - I really like the shoe and would buy it again. However, I'm having a bit of a foot problem and have to wear inserts, so I'm sacrificing a little comfort. The width is right on! I would buy this shoe again.

Great shoes! I have very wide feet and usually have to wear a shoe for a week or two before it feels comfortable and doesn't hurt. These shoes were perfect right from the start.

Very comfortable walking shoe - This is a very serviceable shoe, it is comfortable and fits well. I wish the arch support were a little better, but it is not bad.

Best show ever - My feet hurt all the time before I bought the New Balance 811 ... now my feet don't hurt. Also I was always twisting my ankle, but with these shoes I do not do that. My brother told me about the shoes and I thank him every time I talk to him ... thank you.

These shoes save me at work! Do not hesitate to order these sneakers if you need good support, they are truly the best I have found. The wide toe box is such a relief to me after having foot surgery. The support and comfort is excellent! Thanx again!
