I got these boots a few weeks ago and have worn them out and about in the recent midwestern snowstorms as well as in the mountains of Colorado. They've kept my feet warm and dry, and I've been very pleased with them. Driving with them takes some getting used to, but it's not too bad. And they do run a bit big. I usually wear a 7.5, so I ordered a size 7. They fit great with heavy socks, but with normal socks, they're a tiny bit big. Overall, they're exactly what I was looking for in a boot, and I would strongly recommend them!

My first pair of caribou boots were purchased 20 years ago. I replaced the liners twice throughout that time. I am just now getting my second pair even though my first pair still has life left in it. I have never been disappointed in any type of weather when using these boots. Living in Michigan, they are perfect!

I really couldn't be happier with these boots. I ordered them as a holiday gift for myself in early December, and now, in late January, they've been on my feet practically every day! They are very heavy; going for a walk in them is a little like wearing ankle weights. These are not the boots to order if you only have to cope with a bit of light slush every now and then. But for heavy snow, nothing works better to keep your toes warm and your ankles and lower calves protected. I find them surprisingly stylish, too; the black/stone color combo is quite handsome and goes nicely with jeans as well as black pants. I look cute as I clomp! I normally wear a normal width 8.5, so I ordered a 9 and am very pleased. There's plenty of room for an extra pair of heavy socks, and I'm also comfortable just slipping them on barefoot for quick trips outside in the middle of the night. (I'm housebreaking a puppy, not a fun thing to do at this time of year! But these boots make those surprise midnight trips out a breeze.) The lining is very soft and comfortable on bare feet. I know from my family's experience that Sorrel boots can last for decades; my Dad has a pair that are nearly 20 years old. I'm looking forward to spending a lot of winter seasons with mine.

A classic boot that keeps my feet warm and dry when I am out in the (occasional) snow we get in NC and when I am in real snow which I encounter when I visit family in Colorado. Highly Recommended.

The Caribou boots are warm and wonderful, as we might expect from Sorel--Sorels are awseome. Be sure to order your regular size! I ordered a size smaller after reading numerous reviews. I sometimes take a 5 1/2 in a shoe so ordered a 5 instead of a 6. Big mistake. I take a six in these as I always do in a boot (and in some shoes). True-to-size!!!

I was so happy to get my new snow boots, put them on and they hurt and cut my feet. I hope that the warranty department will take them back. I would have been happy but they hurt so bad I can't wear them.

I have recently purchased the black Caribou for myself and have more than enjoyed trolling around inside and out with them. They are slightly large due to ms really being a 6.5 and these only run in whole sizes. I originally found these boots because my mother in law had purchased her son a pair of the original color Caribou and he loved them as well. I would most definately incourage someone to purchase these boots!

I love these boots. I've been stomping around in the snow and my feet are warm and dry! They are definitely big. I even thought I ordered the wrong size when I opened the box but they were right on. I wear a 9.5 and ordered the 10. They are slightly big but nothing uncomfortable and will wear big socks. They are cute with jeans or even skirts.

I probably look a little funny walking around the streets of Manhattan in boots that are meant for Colorado-like snow, but after all the snow we've been getting here, I couldn't be happier that I have these Sorel's! I literally stomp through slushy puddles without a second of hesitation. They're completely waterproof, and the tred is awesome for the snow and ice. They're super warm. I've only been wearing them with thin trouser socks so far, and have no need for anything thicker. I walk over a mile to work in them, and have found them to be extremely comfortable. The one thing I will definitely say is that they run big. I ordered a 6, and I'm normally a 7. The woman I spoke with in customer service assured me that I should order a size smaller, and she was definitely right. The 6 is perfect for me. Overall, the boots are great. They were exactly what I was looking for!

At first I loved these boots. Bought a pair on Nov 24, now, a little over a month later i'm returning them because they have cracked real bad around the toe area, letting the water in. Bummer, I thought because I spent so much, they would last longer than two months.

Warm and comfortable... your feet really feel protected from the elements! I wear a size 7.5 and ordered a size 7.0. The fit is perfect, the width is roomy and they are fine with a heavier or lighter sock. My only issue is getting used to the weight... they are quite heavy and I hope that they will soften up through use. Might just take some getting used to but overall I am pleased with them. They are heavy duty winter boots for sure!!

Great winter/snow boot!! They do run big, I'm normally an 8, purchased a 7, fit is perfect. They are incredibly warm, perfect for playing in the snow with toddlers. They do feel a bit "klunky" at first, but you adjust to them quick!!! I purchsed the boot in black - love 'em. Great boot, can't say enough really... Thanks, Sorel!!!

These boots are SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are a great gift, all my women are SOREL women!!!!!!!!! The boots are fantastic for Boston winter weather. If your wearing a skirt or wearing jeans they look great on. Fighting cold deep snow or walking through city slush these boots do the trick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The quality is there for years, you can not find a better boot. They are mountain booots, city boots and all the time boots. When the weather hits hard. All I can say is the work..........I am in law enforcement and wish they made an all black men's caribou to include the liner..........Stay Happy, Stay Warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replaced my last pair, only lasted 25 years, with these beauties. Nice urban theme color scheme, Noir on Noir. Always practical, just kick em off at the door, slip on in on the way out. Massive traction, completely dry and warm. Look stylish plowing through the slush and mush. Why not go with the proven leader Sorel? Your toes will be toasty and your mind free to enjoy the journey. In survival school they teach you to always have an extra pair of dry socks. Cause once your feet are wet and cold your mind goes next. Zero chance of this ever occurring sporting Sorel Caribou.

I normally wear a size 8.5 and bought the Caribou's in size 8. They are huge! They look like a men's boot (because of the size). I am going to try ordering them in a 7 if I can find them! This is the third pair of Sorel's that I have ordered and sent back now. The Cate The Greats and Joan Of Arctic both run really big as well. You can't beat Zappos 1 day shipping and free returns!

These are serious boots. They are solid, warm and very waterproof. They definitely do run big. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 and ordered these in a 10 (and they are still pretty roomy). The only downside is that they are quite heavy and a little tricky to drive in, other than that- they are a great classic snow boot.

I am in love with these boots. Yes, they are heavier and a bit less flexible than some options. I think your enjoyment of them will depend upon what kind of boot you like. I don't mind that they are big. Living in Upstate New York, I need boots that I can throw on to shovel snow, wade through drifts on the way to work, and that will keep my feet warm and dry. These Sorel's do the job marvelously. The fleece dries very quickly if it gets wet. I wear a 9.5 (I have a narrow foot) and I ordered these in a size 9, which was the right choice for me. I wear medium-weight socks and have enough room to comfortably move my toes.

I really like these boots and highly recommend them. I have worn them in deep snow, slush, and puddles and my feet always stay dry and warm. They take a little while to break in and I was walking kind of funny at first, but it didnt take long for them to loosen up. I am usually an 8-8.5 so I ordered an 8. Once my foot is inside, even with the lining in, I feel that they are kind of big. But, I have no trouble walking in them now and my feet stay very comfortable so I can't complain. My boyfriend and sister are jealous of my snow boots and are going ot get a pair of these for themselves!

Living and working on Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota places great demands on you and your feet during the winter. The Caribou shoes have my military stamp of approval. Combating the brutal winters/blizzards accompanied by hurricane force winds combined with subzero temperatures is like death trying to remove snow without wearing this necessary footwear. My last pair were abducted by my son without prior authorization by my off duty supervisor, my lovely and wonderful wife. I just didn't know my wife gave him my favorite winter boots to wear because the temperatures outside had surpassed -5 below zero. My son, who is wearing my other Caribou's are still in great serviceable condition after 15 years of service. When my wife realized that my favorite snow boots were abducted without higher headquarter approval (that would be me), well it was the perfect excuse to buy some more!

I have put off getting good winter boots because I am frugal and I thought doubling up wool socks in boots from a New England catalog would make up the difference. It just doesn't work. Spend the extra money on the Caribou's and your feet will never regret it. The Caribou's are beyond comfortable, they keep my feet warm in snow, on concrete and in the woods.

They look and feel great. Wearing them makes trumping through the snow plenty of fun. I might be a little happier if these are available in half sizes. My foot size is 8 to 8 1/2. If possible I'd have bought 7 1/2 instead of 8. I'll adapt with socks.

I ordered these boots in the tan color and was so excited when I finally got them (I live on the East Coast and we have been having some heavy snow this winter). I wear a size 10 and I thought that they fit perfectly. I tried them on with my heavy ski socks as well as barefoot and they fit well either way. When I say that the lining is warm, I mean WARM and the lining is super soft and well cushioned. I didn't slip on the ice when I went to shovel my driveway thanks to the soccer-cleat like sole. I also like the fact that the boots are designed to easily tuck your pants into the boots--I didn't have to struggle with my jeans to get them into the boot. I would say that the only downside is that these boots are so heavy-duty is that it is somewhat awkward driving with them, but it is a minor issue (I think that it is harder to drive in high-heels). Buy these!

I'm a true 10.5 and ordered the 10; at first they were a little snug getting on and taking off but after a couple days, all is well! So far, I've worn them snowmobiling, walking the doggies, hauling firewood, running errands in town, and to a party (all in snow, snow, snow). I love these, they are as practical as they are good looking.

My wife and I each purchased a pair of Caribou Sorels in mid December. We have received a lot of snow here in Utah, followed by extremely cold temperatures. These boots are grip well on ice
