This boot is comfortable, chic, and simply classic. I normally wear about a 7.5 and so I bought a size 7. They are snug but fit perfectly. I haven't had a chance to wear them out in the snow yet, considering I live in Georgia. But when I do, I know I will love them even more. And if you're debating on this style or another one, get this one. They were featured in a J.Crew spread last winter and therefore are super stylish and chic.

I initially saw this boot in a Vogue picture online. I immediately set out to find it. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price as well as the features of the boot. I'd been searching for a good winter boot for several years and this was an attractive as well as functional choice. I read reviews before ordering, so I ordered a half size lower than what I normally wear. The boots arrived nicely packaged and in great condition. I tried them on with and without socks and the fit was perfect. Not too tight but just tight enough so there won't be any rubbing or chafing when walking. They were a little heavy, but that's ok. They were also very warm completely through the toe box which is hard to find. I've recommended this boot to everyone I know.

I love these boots and they are amazing for the snow, however they are way to big. I have always been a size 7, and these feel more like an 8/8.5. My mother who wears an 8.5 fits in to them and says they are just a little tight. I kept them because I really needed snow boots but I would highly suggest you try them on before you buy them to make sure the size fits you!

I was very much looking forward to the arrival of these boots. I am a 7.5 and ordered the 8 and the first time I wore them I realized that they were way too big. I really love them but I already wore them and have to keep them but maybe I will find someone that can take them and I can order a size 7. Other than that they really keep your feet warm and dry and they are great in the snow. We just had a snow storm and I wore them to walk around it and it was great except for the fact that they are way too big.

Well, by the time I realized I wanted the Caribous, they were all sold out in my size. I called Zappos and they said they would search the web to find me a pair. I thought that was so nice and thanked them, but ended up purchasing them myself from Amazon. Anyway, NJ just had another snow shower. I received the shoes about an hour ago and decided to see how they fared as I spread out salt on my driveway. Now I am a true 7 and 1/2. I read all the reviews (you can imagine how long that took me/don't ask), but I had seen every single person in Lake Placid wearing these boots last week and knew I had to have them. I have been wearing the same boots from Land's End (God bless them) for 8 years. I am not kidding. But it was time for some new ones. My toes are at the very end of this boot. Mind you, that is not uncomfortable, but they are a bit wide for my feet. They are bulky, sure. I was wearing a moderately heavy sock. I was looking for a very substantial boot that I could wear while walking my dog at 6 in the morning and something for shoveling snow. These boots fit the bill. I will forego any bulkiness; they are ridiculously warm and waterproof. What could be better?! These are a serious boot. They are not to be worn into the city for a day of shopping and walking around. They're for the snow. Thank you Zappos for all the reviews and for wanting to help me find these boots even if it meant going to another site.

My husband complains of feet being cold all the time. I got him a pair for ice fishing and he used them the 1st time this weekend and happy as can be. Feet never got cold even in the snow and ice. He loves them

I have had a couple pair of these boots over my life, and they are extremely comfortable and warm. Best boot for really cold snow covered terrain. They have a great grip on ice and slick surfaces. Great for work, play, and just hanging out. My feet never get cold in them.

I ordered both a size 7 and 8 to see which fit the best. I wear a size 8 normally. The boots are measured in inches per customer service so when I looked at the size chart it seemed as if I would need a size 7. After trying both sizes on at home I liked the fit of the 8 better. The liner in the size 7 is tight but the actual boot is huge if tried on without the liner. If we could get larger liners in smaller sized boots that would be prefect. So I say get you're normal shoe size and not a size down or order 2 pairs in each size to get your perfect fit. I also just wear smartwool socks or other thin warm socks. 4 star is because the liner's are such a different size compared to the actual boot. The actual boot is super warm and comfortable. Clunky and a bit heavy, yes, super warm and perfect for snowmobiling.

After reviewing other's reviews, I sized down. I usually wear a size 8 in a tennis shoe, bought a size 7, the boot fits great. They look well made, feel fairly cushiony for a snow boot. These are definitely not snow bunnie boots, but if you are looking for a comfortable boot you can actually use in snow year after year, these rock!

Unfortunately, I had to return the boots. The sizing was wrong for me. The boot with the liner was way too narrow in the ankles and foot. The liner did not sseem to fit the boot. Without the liner, the boots were way too big in the toe area (even with heavy socks or two pairs of socks). The boot itself was great. I wish they had fit.

The shoe was just too much. We had to send it back. My husband was looking for a city snow boot and these boots just took over. You have to wear the pants tucked in and that didn't look good or feel good. We had to pay a huge shipping fee to return them and a small shipping fee to get them. I have been spoiled by the fee-less sites, but they are very convenient when buying shoes that you have never tried on.

The boots are much larger and bulkier than I expected. I'm sure they are very warm, but they are too bulky for walking the dog any distance. I received my order so quickly and easily. Zappos is great.

Great shoes, they do run a big, though I agree half sizes would probably be better for women. I got a full size smaller than I normally am, which is fine, but only just. Ideally I should have gotten just a half size smaller. The customer service of Sorel is excellent!! Very helpful, and they ensured quick delivery! Great product, would definitely use this website again!

I am also one that would benefit from 1/2 sizes - I normally wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8 based on some of the other reviews. The boots fit well, but if I wear thick socks, they are not as comfortable. Fortunately, these are WARM boots (with the liners in) and I don't need really thick socks. I was surprised at the weight - these boots are heavier than I thought they would be. Fortunately, I don't do a lot of walking in them - I got them for snowmobiling, and they're great - nice and sturdy. I love the look - they are functional, but still a nice looking boot. I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

My son had requested these boots for Christmas and even though I didn't like the idea of giving boots for Christmas I gave in. This was the gift that he was most excited about! He loves them and has worn them everyday since.

My niece has wanted Sorel boots for years, but could never find her size. She wears a size 12 in women's shoes and most retailers do not carry any boots over size 10. Her feet are very narrow so the wider men's shoes wouldn't work. Her brother wanted to buy her boots for Christmas. We checked the Sorel website and they had a size 12 in stock. We happily ordered the boots and were very grateful when Sorel upgraded the shipping free of charge and the boots arrived in time for Christmas. My niece as thrilled. The boots fit great. Now we just need some snow... Thanks Sorel for a great experience. And a great boot. In my niece's size.

My hubby is very picky about quality, so finding a boot that he wiill love is not easy. After hearing about how much I loved my Sorels, he asked for a pair for Xmas. He took them to Colorado and loved the way they handled the snow, ice and sub-zero temps. Sorrel - pls pls keep quality high and you will always have a loyal following.

My first pair of Sorel boots were the woman's Caribou that my husband got me for Christmas 24 years ago. He wore the Premium T Sorel for about 30 years. So when the soles finally wore through on his Premium T's, he wanted another pair of Sorels. He did slip more in the Premiums because of the roundish bottoms and the tread pattern, more than I did in my Caribou's, so I decided to get him a pair of men's Caribou this Christmas. When he opened them on Christmas, he wasn't sure if he'd like the bottoms as he was used to the others. He said the bumps on the sole were called "airbobs" and other guys liked them. Warm, comfortable, and quick D-rings for the laces. Well... he just LOVES his new Caribou's! He went out on the garage roof to shovel off the huge snowfall, no slipping, sliding, or worrying obout stability issues! He still has the old ones in his truck for emergencies! Great boot!!!

I would definately say that half sizes would benefit the average person on this one. Once you get your foot in there and add a wool sock, the regular size (in my case anyways) was too small and the next one up was too big. It's a disappointment.

Came as an early Christmas present just in time of a heavy 12" snow blizzard. Feet always had gotten very cold but not this time. My feet were warm is toast. Surprisingly the boots were also very comfortable even after a steady day and a half plowing and shoveling. These are the best dang pair of boots I have ever owned or even looked at. Now if only you folks made socks to match my size 17 boots and feet. I love them!

Super warm. I usually wear an 8; the 8's are a bit big, and I feel that I should have returned them for a smaller size; but I wear them with thick socks and can manage. My heel slips slightly when walking.

My husband bought his first pair of Sorels in 1983 and they lasted until the winter 2010, so it only made sense to buy him a new pair of Sorels for Christmas. I wouldn't have picked another brand. And lucky me, he purchased a pair of women's Caribous for me for Christmas.

I have had trouble finding any boots in size 17, especially 17B. I have suffered through life with 14s, even in the Navy. These are the first boots that actually fit and I could lace them up to keep the snow out. They appear bulky, but they bend as you walk. The lining keeps my feet warm and I haven't suffered anymore bruises on my toes this winter, since I got them. They provide good traction, especially on slushy snow, which we got the day after they arrived!
