Like so many others. I bought these boots back in 1988 and they still look great today. I used to keep them in my truck whenever I was going off-road in mud or snow. They are super easy to just hose off when muddy. The price seemed ridiculous back in the day but considering I still have them I think they are probably the cheapest boots I've ever owned.

These boots are really too heavy to trek in the snow for any distance. I wish Zappos carried Cougar boots which are just as warm but much lighter and more comfortable because of their reduced weight.

My feet get cold easily so I bought a pair of Pacs years ago and they're finally wearing out. I tried a cheaper boot but my feet were still cold. I put on a pair of heavy sox and these are just perfect! y feet haven't gotten cold at all. And I found that by not lacing them tight, I could slip my foot in and out and wear them without having to tie them up every time. Much easier for running in and out! If I need to lace them up for deeper snow, it's quick and easy. Perfect for my Alaskan lifestyle!

These boots sure feel pretty heavy comparing to my Hunter boots. The interior is extremely comfortable and warm. Just like many reviewers have mentioned, the front part of the shoes are made wide so it feels a bit weird. It's sort of made me feel like I have duck feet. The shoes does feel at least half size bigger. I wore my ski socks and it fits perfectly.

I love the grey color and these boots would certainly keep my feet toasty--- but I think I have to return them. They are literally the heaviest boots I've ever worn. I don't have much experience with snow boots though so perhaps I am just not used to the heaviness. I can't imagine really walking any distance in these though. Maybe directly to my car. They are 2 pounds... I'm going to search for something lighter. Looking down at them they look absolutely massive. But--- I think they would be really great if you're somewhere really cold and not walking far.

As many other reviewers say, these boots run big. I wear a size 5 and these feel like a 6. They are very heavy, but I imagine they will stand up well to snow once we get a sufficient amount to tempt me out in them.

I'm in love with these boots BUT I should have ordered 1/2-1 full size smaller. They make my feet look obnoxiously big and unless if I have 2+ pairs of socks on my feet slide around in them. I planned on taking out the liner and wearing them like rain boots during the summer months but I don't see that happening. But on a good note they're sturdy, warm, and waterproof which is what I wanted.

I received these after much anticipation to walk my dog in our snowy, canadian winters. Such a disspaointment. They give me huge blisters on the backs of my ankles where theres a huge ridge where the rubber meets the leather. I didn't return them because i thought i could just "work them in" I've tried wearing different socks, tieing them up differently but nothing helps. I have a feeling that since Sorrel sold to Columbia the quaility i had come to trust in the Sorrel name is no longer there. They look nice yes - but arn't fit for purpose.

These boots do an excellent job of keeping feet warm. I outfit kids for a wilderness therapy program in Northern Wisconsin, and these are what we use the entire winter. We have never had a cold weather injury while using these boots. The removable liners are essential to keeping feet warm and dry, as well as the fact that the boot is quite waterproof. The only downside is that they only seem to last one season, with continual wear and use. The liners last as long as the boot, and are easily replaceable. Unfortunately, after about 6 months of daily wear, the rubber at the sides of the boot where it bends when you step starts to develop cracks that eventually turn into full blown holes, at which point you need new boots. Overall, a good boot that will keep your feet dry and warm.

I've had my eye on these boots for a while. I was saving up money until I could afford them, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with my purchase. Although these boots are VERY well made, super soft, and seemed very durable for a harsh Michigan winter, they were very heavy, clunky, and tight around the calf! Looking at the picture, it's hard to tell exactly how oversized these puppies are in real life. I felt like I was wearing my dad's winter boots! Walking around in my room it felt like I was wearing three pound weights on each foot, which made walking a bit awkward. Not to mention they were extremely tight in the opening because of the liner. The liner was about suctioned to my bare calf, I couldn't even imagine getting a pair of leggings or even jeans inside of these suckers, so I was pretty disappointed! By no means am I a bigger girl either, 5'7 & 140 pounds, so I feel like this problem must be common. I considered swapping out the liner for a larger sized one, but the clonkiness of this boot was just a problem that I couldn't fix. Don't get me wrong, they are a beautiful, incredibly soft, and well made boot. It was unfortunate I had to return them. I was looking for a cute, durable boot to get me through late fall to the end of winter, but these boots are the type you put on when a blizzard hits, considering the overwhelming sturdiness and bulk they have. Not too much versatility. I ordered a pair of the Sorel Joan of Arctic after this, I hope I'll have better luck!

These boots were purchased as a gift for my husband and he is thrilled with his present! The boots were exactly as described on-line and the fit was true to size. This is his second pair of these exact boots. He still has the first pair (over 20 years old) and uses them for work. A great boot to keep feet warm and dry!

These are gigantic! If you have wide feet, look no further, these are the boots for you. I ordered in my regular size (9) and felt like I was waking around in big slippery boats. I just can't emphasize enough how wide these are! The rubber fronts would bend at the fabric and my feet would slip and slide around all over. Order at least half a size smaller! Oh yeah, and this is all written while wearing two pairs of socks in the boots, one being thick wool.

Love this boot for its practicality. Wider than Sorel's prettier boots, which means it will aid stability and its tread perfect for packed or fresh snow. My feet are always cold until I wear these. So if you are outside walking in snow with your beast, towing a couple kids across a parking lot, carrying all your ski gear from the car to the lodge, or you do your own shoveling, this is your boot. Did everything winter in these: Explored outdoors, attended lots of hockey games, snowmobiled, walked dogs, sledding, and they were awesome. Always warm, super comfy and stable in winter conditions. They look a little beefier than Sorel's sister boots but hey, when you are actively and comfortably enjoying your life, people are looking at the smile on your face instead of the best active winter boot you can buy.

Without a doubt these boots are warm and waterproof. I hunt in the South so waterproof is essential for comfort. It took about 1/2 days to break them in for optimal comfort. After walking across a wet meadow with temperatures at approximately 45* my feet stayed warm and dry.

Was given these boots as a present for my ski season in the Alps this year. The boots are warm, well crafted and sturdy. Only issue with these boots are the sizing! I'm always a size UK 9 but after reading other reviews saying these boots come up large I went to a retailer and found that I fit a size UK 8! My advice check sizing before buying the boots online.

They feel heavier than expected, hope caked on snow doesn't make me wish I didn't get them. The arch support is incredibly prominent, which I'm not used to. Looking forward to cold weather to prove these to be a good investment.

I did it, I finally broke down and bought the best snowboots around. I've wasted money on lookalikes, but nothing beats Sorel.

I got my Sorel boots in 1980 when I was going on my first ski trip. I have used them every time I was in a snowy situation since then and it is now 2013 and they look almost new. They are warm and comfortable and I am so impressed I ordered these boots for my now adult son's for Christmas. They will last them a lifetime and a worthwhile investment.

Because I have a large family and Christmas shop all year round, I purchased these winter boots as a Christmas gift because the size 16 is a difficult size to find especially when your really need it. That being said, I have not even opened the box because Sorel products, in my mind, are superior and I trust I will not be disappointed nor will the recipient of the boots.

Boot was very well made, but just a bit too bulky and slippery on ice. Bought it for my granddaughter who lives in Hawaii and is going to school in Canada. The fit was perfect, so for a lady over the age of 15 and not worried about slipping on ice, I would buy this boot!

Has a refreshing color, instead of dark colors. Very comfortable. These are fashionable, along with a quality that will keep my feet dry & warm, for many winters to come. Looking forward to being able to wear them next winter.

Very comfortable and required no break in period. Placed foot up to ankle in puddle to check for water proof ability in which it passed the test. No water leakage.
