I spent a LOT of time combing through reviews for these boots to make sure I'd get the right size. I'm a size 7 in pretty much every pair of shoes I try on, but all these reviews are saying they're too small/too big/etc. I ended up finding them in a store and tried on a 7 - perfect fit! I thought I might be able to go down a half size, but with thick wool socks, a 7 is just right. These boots aren't as heavy as I thought they'd be. They're very durable and keep my feet SO warm. If you're debating on size, I'd say go with the size you wear in most shoes.

So the rumors are true. Sorel's Caribou boot is amazing. True craftmanship. Almost even art. It's the combination of design, comfort and (most important) warmth. Great job Sorel. Great job.

Overall very pleased with the boots. They run slightly small. Normal shoe size is 8 1/2 but ordered 9 so that 2 pair of socks can be worn in cold weather. Not sure 2 pair of socks will fit. Liner clings to socks so getting the boots off takes more effort. Overall, very comfortable and quality seems comparable to last pair that were ordered several years ago.

Ordered a womens 9.5 and the boot says 9.5 but it's way too big - looks like a man's boot. Not sure what the problem was.

I wear size 15 boots and my feet are as wide as a Buick. I ordered the Caribou boots and couldn't be happier. The boots fit great, lace up well and are comfortable on long very snow bound Ohio hikes. I wish I had not waited this long to order a pair.

I love the quality of my Caribou Boots. These were a gift to my fiance who loved my boots. I have had my boots for about 15 years and it is good to see a company that maintains the high quality in their product that many years later. She absolutely loves them. They fit true to size.

I bought my caibous in 1987 when I lived in Alaska. 24 years later I have gone through three sets of liners but the boot shell is still like new. No water leaks and keeps my toes warm when clearing the driveway after a 24 inch snow fall. I don't use the daily any more but the first5 years in Alaska they were used heavily during backcountry ex erosions in the Chugach mountains. Way to make a quality ling lasting product

Bought my Caribous almost 3 years ago and wore them despite the lack of bad weather where I live in the Southeast. Then my college roommate moved to the Colorado Rockies and I started visiting her there. These boots have been hiking, strolling, snowmobiling and are my go-to favorites. They are warm and sturdy and look as good in the snow as they do fire-side apres-ski. Two enthusiastic thumbs-up!

I found these boots to be incredibly heavy and big looking on. If you're not walking far with them and need a really rugged boot, then these could work great. They are well made and stylish for what they are. However, I was looking for a lighter, slimmer-lokoing boot that I could use for snowshoeing, walking around in snowy wx, etc.

I have an old pair of Caribous with the PAC felt liner. The new pair of Caribous have a tighter liner, which comes out of the boot every time I take it off. I swapped the new liner with the old. Buyer beware: the new liners are fully closed with a lycra swatch running down the middle. They are very tight and don't allow you to slip in and out of the boot with ease.

I hate cold feet, so this year I picked up these bad boys and they have been wonderfully toasty. The first few times I wore them, they were really stiff and they rubbed on my heel to the point where I was afraid they wouldn't work, but that went away completely. It makes sense that a boot made to last for a really long time would take a little breaking in at first! The style is totally iconic, and I am very happy with how cute they look with skinny jeans and leggings! I'm happy that I won't have to buy new winter boots for a long time.

I wear a 7.5 in all Sorels and I have many pairs. I bought a 7.5 in this boot and I could barely get the liner on my foot and then I couldn't get my foot in the boot. Looks like a great boot if I could get my foot in it. The boot is a 7.5 but the liner and shaft of boot are really narrow. I even took it to REI to see if I was doing something wrong. The worst is now I have to pay for shipping to return and boot that I couldn't even get on and the shipping is really expensive because the boots are heavy.

I just received my Sorel Caribou's and I could not be happier. I was concerned about which size to order after I read many of the reviews so I called Sorel's Customer Care number and asked them what their recommendation was. They said to order 1 size smaller so I did and they fit perfectly!! My first adventure thru the deep snow was great. Looking forward to many more.

I bought these boots for price shown at about mid way through last snow season. I was really excited to get them because of the quality i thought they had. Well it's the start of a second season of snow and the where it bends when walking has broken down and now my boots LEAK! I am really disappointed in the quality of this boot especially for the price i paid. I have kids and i play in the snow with them. I was not rough on them out of the ordinary and stored them in a plastic tub through summer. This is unbelievable that i can pay this much and have them break down with normal use after less that a year of wear. I would not recommend this product. i switch from another brand that has long been my go to snow products and now am paying the price. Needless to say i will have to buy another pair of boots in less than a year of purchasing these boots.

Love these! I have very narrow feet and have a hard time finding boots. I'm able to lace them tight and by adding some heel padding, they work great. Very warm and water proof. Perfect for the cold snap hitting the Midwest!

Over the years I have owned several pairs of winter boots, but have never treated myself to an actual pair of Sorels. I shouldn't have waited. I have only worn them once so far, which was shoveling snow in 3 degree weather. My feet were perfectly warm. The quality is superior. The size is a bit large, but not uncomfortably so. I bought them on-line directly from Sorel as no local stores carry half sizes. The order process was simple. This will be the last pair of winter boots that I ever have to buy!

I bought my pair for a year ago and it have allready started making cracks in the rubber. This have happened on both of the shoes. I live in Norway where the winter is rough and then i need a pair of shoes that deliver. Its not looking good and its leaking when I walk in snow. But besides of this, its a realy a good shoe. Its kinda heavy, but so is the Norwegian winter as well ;-) The cracks really disappointed me, so i would not recomend this shoe to my friends unless they would like wet feets in minus 25 degrees celsius...

Growing up in Upper Michigan, specifically the Keweenaw Peninsula, where the annual snowfall totals 30 plus feet, I always had a pair of Sorels. Back then they were hand-me-downs but as much playing as we did in the snow, they always kept my feet warm. Years later and living in the Dakotas now, it is little bit colder here but not nearly as much snow but when it is time to snow-blow the driveway, there is nothing better. Warm, waterproof and comfortable and without a doubt the best pair of winter boots on the market. Not to many places sell them out here but my online shopping and shipping worked great. This is one company that has my business and loyalty for life.
