Although my daughter was so excited and thrilled to receive these beautiful boots for Christmas, she had difficulty getting them on and off. The warm insert always came out when she removed her foot, and there is not enough width room to open the boot big enough slip them on. Love the look and the warmth, but she is not happy with the inconvenience.

I returned these boots, they were just too clunky and wide for my daughter. She was not happy with the way they fit. Very uncomfortable.

20 years ago, I borrowed a pair of boots like this and since, have tried to find this exact pair. I don't know why, but I could never seem to find them, or when I did, they didn't have my size. However, on Christmas Day 2013, my beautiful wife--the love of my life relinquished this title by giving me these boots as a gift. I cried on Christmas Day because I was so happy to finally get the boots of my dreams. I am still waiting to wake up from this dream. A big snowstorm is expected to arrive tomorrow, so you can bet your sweet hiney I am going to be wearing the boots! That was just a long way of saying, I LOVE these boots. They fit perfectly, they are warm, and I believe that without a doubt, they will always handle the snow and ice with complete ease. I like to wear thick socks and these boots allow a perfect fit for such a thing. They are stiff, yet pliable that I can walk without looking like a robot. Giving me full confidence that their support will ever be unwavering. Within reason, the rubber bottom grips ice and light snow very well. While caution is always required on such kind of footing, I found complete trust that I wouldn't be met with any surprising slips, or stumbles (unless I purposely or irresponsibly do so). The lacing is perfectly spaced up to the bottom of my calves, keeping me warm and comfortable. I can't sing enough praises, these are most certainly the PERFECT pair of boots I've ever had. And I have gone through a lot of them. Plus, I truly believe I will never need to get a new pair for as long as I live in a cold, snowy climate.

I bought these for my 17 year old daughter and have borrowed them when I had to spend hours standing outside in 10 degree weather. My feet never got cold. They are somewhat clunky but serve the purpose of warmth and kept my feet dry. I am a 5.5 and my daughter a size 6. I purchased them in a 5.5 and they fit my daughter perfectly. Quality seems sturdy. We haven't owned them long enough to fairly comment on how they will hold up.

We are really pleased with these boots. The whole experience with Sorel was just great, from working with their online site thru the ordering and delivery process. I needed to get some advice on sizing and fit so I called Sorel, and the customer service person was just great. I'd certainly buy from them again without hesitation.

These boots are amazing. They are so warm and cozy feeling and hold up well when trekking through the city in a major snow storm. Very comfortable. I love the look of the boot and feel stylish while wearing them. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the sole of the boot is very heavy. I like this and it gives some good traction in the snow, but it is a bit of a workout to walk in these.

Bought as a gift for my wife. She says they are comfortable and warm. Just the thing for negitive temps and deep snow. Great product.

Awesome for cold and wet weather!

The shell is a bit snug but the boots fit just fine. I'm a 9 but a 9 1/2 would be too big. The first time I put them on I had to take the shell out and put on then first, then slide into the boot, but every time after I have been able to slide into the boots with the shell in. Love these boots! Took up to the mountain and my feet stayed dry and warm all weekend.

Warm...check! Dry feet...check! Warm and Dry after several hours...check! Reasonable price...check! Comfortable, but a bit clunky. The clunky is a small trade-off for warm and dry which are high on the priority list. These are my second pair and I only had to buy them because my feet outgrew the last 15 year old pair. Excellent boots!

Love these. Ordered a half size big anyway because I wanted them to be really really warm, which means extra space to move my toes and air to trap inside there...but they are kind-of amazing huge. I am keeping them anyway. I just clomp around in the snow in them and it's great! But I ordered a women's 7.5 and they are as big on the sole as a men's 10. Weird!!!! Somehow the inside doesn't feel THAT big, though. The inside actually feels like it's just about a full size big for me...

Seems to run large - I usually wear 7.5, but ended up being happy with a 6.5 Caribou boot. I'm very pleased with my purchase - the boot has excellent grip on ice and so far is waterproof and toasty warm.

warm,dry, high stability, but heavy. an acceptable compromise

Bought these boots for a trip to Michigan where i knew the temperatures would be very cold, and my feet, which have become used to flip-flops these past 6 years, would need some help to keep warm. The Caribou boots did not disappoint me. Having owned Sorels back when i lived in Michigan, i was familiar with their quality and ruggedness. These features remain to this day. i spent a day walking over 5 miles in the woods and snowmobiling, and my feet were NEVER cold. Money well-spent, if anyone is hesitating due to the price. Love these boots and can't wait to go back up to play in the snow again.

Given as an early Christmas gift to my daughter this year because the forecast merited it, these Caribous have proven themselves, over the past 2 frigid snow and ice weeks, to make winter treks home both safe and pleasurable. The tread works on an uphill mile to her house; the insulation works in below zero temps. She expects to love wearing them for 20 years. Thanks Sorel!

I received a pair of these as a gift for my 13th birthday in 1986. I recently turned 40, and these remain the only winter boots I've had during that time. I've replaced the liners once, about 12 years ago, but other than that there are literally no quality issues, not even so much as a single frayed thread. I have some tread wear on the heels and a little bit of wear on the leather because my ankles rub together. I've lived in Colorado my entire life and I wear these boots every time it snows. Maybe the rubber doesn't shine like it used to, and the leather has some wrinkles to it, but they're as warm and as waterproof as the day I got them. I wish more outdoor gear had this kind of durability.

I have had sorel boots for the past 40 years and your standards are just as good now as they were way back when. In the next few days the temp is going down to -14 I will only go outside to if I have on sorels. These boots are the best ever.

Just used these for the first time during the big snow storm that started on New Years day 2014, the one that had -0 temps and lower across the Midwestern and Northeastern United States. Really glad I had them, made shoveling the driveway a lot more comfortable then it would have been without them for sure. I like that they fit a little big with plenty of extra space, I have Sasquatch feet and with these boots I have plenty of room for a pair of thick wool socks with enough room that I could easily wear a second pair, and I also really like the new updated look of the black on black with beige trim. These are the second pair of Sorel boots I've owned, the first pair I bought about 20 years ago when I was in my early 20's now I'm in my early 40's and these new boots fit exactly like the first pair did, if these last as long as the first ones did, I'll be in my 60's when they need to be replaced!

The boots are awesome and shipping was quick and efficient.

These boots did not come in half sizes--they should. Full size was either too small or too big. Also, very hard to get on your foot especially if you have a high instep. And the company doesn't pay to ship returns so it's an expensive gamble to buy online. I was very disappointed and would not shop through this company again.

I purchased the boots for my son for his birthday. He works outside every day no matter what the temperature is. His feet are alway's very warm and dry. Would recommend this product.

These boots rock. They will keep your feet warm, dry and comfy. They are real-deal snow boots and are built to last.

I got these for my husband using your foot measuring guide, which woukd be correct, except that he has a very high arch and could not get them on. If he took the liner out, he could get the boot on and the length was right. He could not even get the liner alone on his foot. We will have to return these and see if a larger size works. Hope so, because he loved them.

I recently purchased a pair of Sorel Caribou Boots. This is my third pair of similar Sorel boots in 34 years. I have lived in CO, WNY, and NE Ohio these many years. I wear my Sorels all winter and drive any of my three manual cars with these, no problem. I am a treestand crossbow hunter and depend on the these for comfort. The Caribou soles are superior to any of my older models as they have the best traction in snow and on floor surfaces. We average 14 to 20 feet of snow here in NE Ohio and even bought my wife a pair; great products, the ONLY winter boot!

These boots are warm. So warm that you can wear them on the moon and only be slightly cold. Like, barely even notice cold. I've done it and only had a slight chill. That's obviously very warm. They keep snow out and the rubber repels water which is the coolest thing about rubber. Plenty of traction with the sole. I didn't slip on the ice, not even once.
