Overall I love the boots! I live in Boston area and I have dogs so I'm out walking every day. The boots have great traction and keep my feet very warm. They are larger sized, I normally wear a size 10 and order a 9.5, probably could have used the 9 but kept the 9.5 for thicker socks.

I wanted to love these because I have always admired the classic style and I wanted some better to face the Chicago winters with but the fit was very off on these boots. The one thing I was not expecting was how tight the boot was around the ankle. Would be a great feature if it didnt feel like it was cutting off my circulation. On the opposite end of the spectrum the foot part of the boot was way too big, and I ordered a half size down from normal. The bottom of these boots are also much bigger and heavier than I thought. I'm returning them for something a little lighter.

The biggest winter mistake; ordering these instead of LL Bean boots. I've lived in some cold and wet places: Maine, Boston, Central Illinois, and I HATE these boots every time I have to wear them. They have no arch support, actually they have less then 1/4 inch of plastic and cheap lining between you and the ground. If you stepped on a pea, you would feel it through the boot. The fit is horrible, it's not a narrow boot width wise, but the vertical amount of room they allot for your toes is way too thin, especially if you are wearing heavy socks. Every time I wear them my toes fall asleep from being pinched. The tread is laughable, absolutely no grip. The lining is NOT warm. Unless your toes are toasty hot when you put these boots on, expect some frozen numb (from cold and pinching) toes by the time you take them off. I cant wait for these to fall apart so I can go back to Bean and their far superior boot for the same price tag.
I'd also recommend:
LL Bean

Loved the look of these boots. Very stylish. However, 2 major drawbacks has me not being able to wear them. 1. They are extremely heavy. I mean in the neighborhood of a 2 or so pounds each. That's a lot of weight on your legs and back. And if you're already drudging through the snow, making your feel 5 or so pounds heavier is really tough. That, however, I could deal with. The deal-breaker for me was 2. The soles of these boots are unbelievably slippery on non-concrete surfaces, including, but not limited to: manholes, stairs. subway platforms, tile, marble, and just about anything else that is even remotely smooth. I live in NYC and wore these during the last snow storm. When I was strictly on concrete, they were awesome. As soon as I was over a manhole, or a sidewalk grate, which are everywhere here, I felt very unsteady. Now down to the subway platforms and I honestly felt like it was possible that I could die. I can't tell you how many times I was slipping on the tile and had to catch myself from falling. As much as I love the style of these boots, I can't risk wearing them here in the city.

Overall, I like the boots. They are very toasty and I love the colors. The only thing keeping me from totally loving them is that they are a little too roomy, feeling more like a 7.5 than a 7. This makes an already bulky boot feel exceptionally bulky.

These boots run very big. I am a 7.5 but that size wasn't available so I ordered the 8. Even with thick socks, I am swimming in these. Also, my husband loves his and says they are really warm. My feet are freezing in them.

I bought these boots online after trying several pairs of Sorel and non-Sorel boots at a local EMS. The Sorel's were the last pair I tried, but the EMS didn't stock Sorel in half sizes (I needed a 10.5). The boot runs true to size and accommodates my _very_ wide foot. They're a little heavy, but they keep your feet very warm and dry. They also have good grip on the snow and ice. A double knot is a must when wearing them. But overall, they appear to be a good quality boot. I am pleased with the purchase.

I bought these for my daughter to wear at college while walking between classes. These didn't even last a year before developing major cracks or rips in the rubber where it bends. Look elsewhere if you want something durable.

Actually, this review is based on the first pair of boots I bought 23 years ago, and they are still perfect and going strong. This order was for a pair of boots for my daughter. They arrived on time, and fit well. They look just as dependable and warm as my originals.

The price of caribou is so expensive that you think it's well made and not at all what you get. It lacks comfort. It's not a great design as shown in picture.

I bought these for my wife for Christmas. Contrary to many of the reviews I read before buying them, you should buy your correct size.

After purchasing a pair of Sorel snow boots for myself when we moved to Colorado, it was time for my boyfriend to get a reliable, warm and non-slip snow boots too. I got a pair of these bad boys for him for Christmas, and based on other reviews, I ordered his exact size. I am really glad that the Sorel website has half sizes available, because the rounded up or down sizes would not have fit. So do yourself or your loved one a favor and get a pair of these boots. They look stylish as all heck and ensure warm feet on cold days outdoors.

My wife is very satisfied with the construction and warmth of these boots, she no longer has to return to our truck or sit by a fire to warm up her feet. GREAT PRODUCT!

It was a long journey helping my wife pick out a comfortable, convenient, and cute pair of winter boots. She tried on everything made by Sorel and other brands too. These ones did not come up her leg too too far and she likes that. The soles are much thicker than most and give her a bigger height boost. She loves the traditional color of the leather. They are the warmest boots of all time. They have nice sheep wool at the top but not excessively so. That is important so she can choose to tuck in her pants or wear them over top without it looking bulky on her leg. The removable liners are convenient for washing. She also likes that they are easier to slip on and off and lace up than the other boots. Plus they just look good! They are classics!

I'm 5'3 and 120 pounds and wear a size 8 usually (I followed the reviews after researching extensively) and sized down to a 7 (glad I did, they fit perfect!). I just tried them out in our recent snow and the traction functioning is fabulous and my feet stay warm. My only complaint is that they are heavy boots. Maybe once I get to the gym some more I won't notice so much, but for being out of shape, I am currently feeling it! Thanks for a good product!

I ordered a half size down and the boots fit well that way. The boots are VERY chunky looking. I ordered a size 9 and they make my feet look like large men's feet. I probably should have returned them, but didn't want to deal with it. They do keep your feet very warm and are a good boot for intense snow/cold. I will probably only wear them in extreme weather, due to their cumbersomeness. Otherwise, they are a well made boot.

My husband and I love these boots! My husband is incredibly picky about boots, but he loved getting these for Christmas and even wore them immediately. He wears a size 12, so I bought these in a size 11, and they fit perfectly.

I bought these for my boyfriend because he is constantly outside in a place where snow never seems to stop coming down. He says that they are absolutely warm and will continue to be a future customer. We are very happy with the purchase.

These boots are not made the way they used to be. I was unable to put these boots on because of the tight lining from the shaft down to the boot. I am so disappointed! I cannot answer all the survey questions because I could not get the boots on.
